Our tour guide, Rory, was amazing! He made the rides from place to place go quickly by telling us interesting stories filled with history in his wonderful Scottish accent. All three destinations were wonderful, but we liked Rosslyn Chapel the most, with all its intricate carvings and mysteries. We were also able to make a brief stop to see the Statue of Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn, and passed by the Kelpies sculptures. Even though it rained the first part of the day, it did not affect our experience. We felt we had plenty of time allotted to enjoy each place. It was a wonderful day!

Queen Kelly, a known descendant of Robert the Bruce, was our driver and host for the day. The tour contents exceeded expectations in variety and quality of sights - can't really pick just 1 that was any better than the other. The Abbey was stunning architecture and the grounds around it worth a walk. Stirling Castle completely surprised by having several beautifylly restored rooms plus docents in period dress to tell us the meaning of the rooms and decorations. Rosslyn Chapel lived up to expectations and the onsite guide who gave the talk and pointed out so many famous facets of the building was a bonus.
Kelly kept up a running commentary while we travelled, very knowledgeable about the history of each location, and entertained us with cheese jokes, a surprise stop at Bannockburn as part of our education on the real Braveheart and pointed out the Kelpies as we drive past them near Falkirk.
Highly recommend this tour and hope that Kelly will be your guide.

Hello, Our Rosslyn Chapel, Dunfermline Abbey and Stirling Castle tour really is an incredible way to see some beautiful sights, and I'm sure Kelly would have been delighted to share some knowledge (and cheesy jokes) about the area! We would love to see any photographs you took on the day! Kind Regards, The Highland Experience Team

This was a great day trip. Our tour guide James was very nice, knowledgeable and a good storyteller. We visited all three locations and had time to enjoy each site and eat lunch.

For reference you will need to pay to get into each location separately from the cost of the tour. This is indicated in the tour booking details. You can purchase tickets online ahead of time or purchase them when you get to each location entrance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour!

The places are worth visiting but don't expect the driver/tour guide telling you more about them other than that they are beautiful. The visit to Dunfermline abbey felt a bit rushed as someone of the staff of the new church goes on far too long on the grave of Robert the Bruce. The remains of the abbey-old church are way more interesting and not explained in any meaningful way. However, there is small exhibition in the apartments that provides the necessary info.

The guide/driver always plays the role they are meant to play and they do it all very well: the kilt wearing scot who tells gory tales about his land and culture in a humorous/ironic way, some of these tales are true some not.

The staff of Roselyn chapel clearly prefers people to prebook their visit, even if they are on an organised tour. This is not explained by the guide/driver, though you receive emails from the tour operator.

Thumbs up for Chris, our tour guide (funny, knowledgeable and always there to answer questions), along with his apprentice Eddy (who's still learning stuff to tell but otherwise is very socially helpful).
The main sights are a must, the road (for a 1 day tour) is way less spectacular than the Border one.
it really helps (at least to not waste time at the sights) to follow the company's mails and pre-book.

Well, if this wasn’t a great day, i dont know what is!Such a great tour! Not only that you get to visit BEAUTIFUL Rosslyn chapel, Dunfermline Abbey so full of historic figures that walked around here; you also get to see Stirling castle, that would be definitely ‘the must’ if you are visiting Scotland. I dont know which one i prefer the most. Our tour guide was Steven, funny and entertaining lad who drove us not only trough the picturesque Kingdom of Fife, but also trough the centuries. You got to hear all those stories about William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Scottish uprisings and so much more. You will got to hear some of the Scottish music also on the bus! Very informative and interesting tour with lots of stories. Would recommend it to everyone! Great tour, great tour guide! And btw, great food at the Portcullis, just underneath the Stirling castle! Thank you , Steven!

Very enjoyable trip. The three locations were fantastic. Stephen, our guide was great. Lovely gentleman who was chatty and fun. Bus was comfortable. 9 hour day trip with my phone used constantly so charging points on the bus were a god send. Would recommend this company 👌

We had a great day trip from Edinburgh to Stirling Castle, Dunfermline Abbey and Rosslyn Chapel. Our driver was cheerful and informative, and we were lucky with beautiful weather that day. All the sites were fascinating and there's never enough time to see everything, but we enjoyed being able to visit these three important historical sites.

This tour was what it said it would be and more. I felt we had plenty of time at each location and if you wanted to really study the site then you could go back. The tour was on time, well organized and comfortable. The driver was superb and gave us both information, Scottish banter and quiet time in all the right amounts. Very thoughtful service. Personable and professional at the same time. As usual, some tourists were not on time and did not tip, which is disappointing but typical. The driver was not phased. If this tour is typical of this tour company I will definitely use them again. We have travelled all over the world for many years and this tour was up there with the best.
