Jacobite Steam Train and Bus History tour
Jacobite Train Tour was great with Mark- he kept a running commentary for the 13 hour day and it was all super interesting! We really enjoyed it. However, be aware this really isn’t heavily HP themed and you don’t get to stop at the aqueduct for pictures. It’s more of a basic Scottish history tour. Very enjoyable, although the bus and train are both a bit cramped with not great heat.

    Amazing Experience and awesome Guide
Dusty is amazing. Lots of jokes and stories along the long drive. It is a long day but totally worth it. You get to do the countryside when you are short in time in Edinburgh.

    Nice experiences
It was wonderful experience The most of the time of the trip you will be inside a bus moving from a place to another But all the stories the driver told made it very interesting. He is very passionate and skilled storyteller. I would recommend this trip to someone who is interested in Scotland’s history

    Great experience with Highland Explorer
Did the Loch Ness tour with Dusty. He was a fantastic guide …. Enjoyed his stories on Scottish history and the sites even more than the beautiful landscape. Would definitely take another tour with Highland Explorer and hope to get Dusty again. Well done!

    Amazing nature
We had a great guide that told interesting stories about the nature and old times. The Skye inn had really nice rooms and excellent food. The ride on the train gave an amazing view and experience of the surrounding nature.

    Worth a long day!
Sophie was great, despite being a witch by medieval Edinburgh standards. The views were stunning and we experienced the full spectrum of Scottish weather. I appreciated the bits of history and trivia as well as the Scottish music.

Highly recommend. Great tour and guide Dusty
Dusty was great! Loved the music and tons of great information. We had a tour yesterday and learned some related things, but he had even more information and different details to share. Very relaxing with a ton of photo opportunities. 10/10 even if you hadn't seen outlander the tour destinations were gorgeous and quaint. Like walking through history. Highly recommend 👌

    Fantastic!
Dusty (our tour guide) did a wonderful job explaining the Scottish & English history throughout our tour while we went to each of the famous Outlander sites. His enthusiasm and positivity were well enjoyed. He had a great playlist and had a wonderful way of storytelling throughout our journey. Highly recommend!!

Don’t have to be Outlander fan
You don’t have to be an Outlander fan to enjoy. Lots of Scottish history and beautiful scenery too.

    First Class Tour with Alistair
Too many scenic high-spots to mention them all but the tour was made memorable by Alistair's excellent local knowledge and commentary interspersed with an eclectic mix of music and humour. Despite the narrow roads Alistair's patient, courteous and safe driving was always reassuring. Would recommend this tour to everyone!

Calum was our driver. He was great. He had lots of info and stories to tell us. Was very informative and helpful. Highly recommend this company and the games. The games included races, caber toss, shot out, hammer throw, etc. Bring shoes to get muddy. No seating at the games. Might bring a blanket or towel to sit on. Food is available. Similar to an American county Fair, but Scottish obviously. The competitors are nice and will take pics with you. Overall - recommend.

Our tour with Scot to the highland games was great. Scott told us great stories and played us good music. Even though the drive was long to Breamar, there wasn't a dull moment. Scott was friendly and knowledgeable and kept us informed with how the day would go. The bus was comfortable and had USB charging ports and Wi-Fi. Be prepared for some winding and hilly roads!

In spite of the rain we really enjoyed the trip. Rich was great as a driver and storyteller. This is a fun trip, and we also enjoyed the castle and grounds.

This was an amazing day trip that allowed us to get further into the highland culture! we attended the Luss games, and already the place is breathtaking and the organisation of the games is really something - with different games taking place at different places of the arena, music, dances, food trucks, and some little stores to buy local products. Plus Joe, our guide was really nice, knowledgeable and empathic with the experience. I would highly recommend this experience and would like to thank Joe since at the end of the games, and thanks to him, we were able to see some highland cows on the way to the bus, which is something we were really looking forward to seeing :)
