Our trip was with Martin, and we enjoyed it quite a bit. The first and last stops weren't amazing but the castle itself was the star of the show. Especially the State rooms. Just for that reason it was worth going so far. Martin was entertaining throughout the trip, so the time while travelling went a bit quicker.

My 22yo daughter and I did this tour and it was so fun! There were only 3 of us on the bus, which was great. Gillian was our guide, and she was wonderful. Very passionate about her beautiful country, knowledgeable, and fun. The music she played during the countryside drive brought tears to our eyes.
Alnwick Castle was wort to seeing if one is a Harry Potter fan or not. Just one you picture when you think of a castle! And still lived in by the family. The town is cute too, and would have been even better if things weren’t closed due to the double whammy of Covid and it being a Sunday.
The drive through the border region and into northumberland was gorgeous. Gillian made lots of stops for photo opportunities and we all got out and walked across the bridge from Scotland to England, just because.
Well worth doing!

I booked the Rabbie's tour to Alnwick Castle and the Borders for my last day in Scotland. Sadly, I was the only person there, so I didn't expect that the tour would still happen. I was a bit disappointed. But.. There I was on the minibus (alone) with my amazing guide/driver Ally. I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, in fact it was a great experience.
He explained a lot about the history, places we visited, was like an encyclopedia full of knowledge but also funny and cheerful. He also took some pictures for me on our way to those amazing scenic views at Northumberland's shore and the Borders. The Alnwick Castle was also impressive, but given the fact that in Corona times the indoors of the castle was not open for the public, I felt I missed some of that experience. That's why the exterior and surroundings of Bamburgh Castle were for me more spectacular.
Thank you again Ally so very much for making my last day in Scotland turn out to be the best one. I will definitely come back and visit some of the islands.
Thank you Rabbie's for making this journey happen!

Places we visited were awesome and our guide Fiona was very helpul and informative. Downside was entrance to Alnwick castle is a bit pricey and no photos allowed inside the castle as well so what a shame. But nevertheless it was a nice trip!

Worth every Penny. Our driver and tour guide was Will G. There were only 4 tourists in the bus including myself. We were chatting comfortably during the trip and Will had a lot of stories to tell and was very entertaining. We were also to Scottish Music while on the road. Alnwick castle was amazing and fabulous. There was a lot of show to watch during our visit.

Entertaining for children and adults alike. Beautiful castle and well preserved and looked after. Harry Potter highlights is a big attraction.
The rooms are exquisite and the volunteers are always willing to explain what why and therefore.Nothing to much trouble. Parking is adequate too.
There are a variety of things to do eg try your hand at archery.
Not cheap by any imagination but as a nation we need to support our heritage. It was a chilly day for the time of the year so wrap up well if you go .

I cannot rave enough about the amazing tour we were given by Nick. Amazingly we were the only couple on the tour and had an amazing experience with our guide throughout all the sites. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the information we learned during the tour was so fun and entertaining. I cannot recommend this company enough. Thank you Rabbies for an unforgettable experience and to Nick for the amazing tour!

We booked this tour because it went to Kelso which is the hometown of my husbands Grandmother. We were pleasantly surprised that we toured to England and saw nice castles and scenery. My disappointment was with our tour guide Lesly or "Tonks" which she liked to be called. At the beginning of our tour, she was fine, seemed lively, told a few stories. However, after our time at the first castle, she seemed very disinterested in talking at all and instead just played loud music. After our second castle, we had a two hour ride back to Edinburgh, and again she wasn't talking but instead was playing loud music which two different people in our van asked her to turn down because it was too loud. We have been on several tours and have had amazing tour guides who were knowledgeable and kept people entertained including one with Rabbies named Adam who was wonderful. If Lesly doesn't want to talk to people then don't be a tour guide. People pay good money to learn things about the places they visit.. it's why they take the tours. If I was stuck with her for another tour, I would ask for a refund.

We previously went yesterday on the whiskey tour and loved it so much, that we ended up booking a second day with this company. Our experience was great the first time, but was doubly so in the second tour. Rabbi’s (pronounced Rah-bees, not Rabbi, not Raybees) normally has one tour guide per bus, but we were lucky to get two on this trip as one was training up for a new route. Ewan B (pronounced yew-warn) and Jim S were amazing. Both were a wealth of knowledge in Scottish/English history. They took turns identifying sites, and providing context and information about what we were all seeing during each stop of the tours. They were witty, personable, polite, and truly made the tour enjoyable. We even learned Scottish slang! I think I can speak to our entire bus that we all had a good time. Their jokes were funny, their recommendations on local music (The treacherous Orchestra), were awesome, they also offered good suggestions on restaurants to eat and bars to visit in Edinburgh. Coincidentally, we ended up seeing 3 of the couples from our tour at dinner and the bar we hit and all of them had smiles on their faces! Rabbi’s has great people that will provide you a great experience. This tour was something that my wife and I will remember forever. We will definitely come back and tour with them again. For anybody hesitant about booking a day tour, don’t be shy, rabbi’s is awesome. You will be in luck if you book and get Ewan or Jim!!!! It was a braw tour with amazing hosts, thank you rabbi’s!!!
