      A 12 hour bus ride. A disaster.
First of all you need to stick with the plan you send. Second, a 3 hour drive with dull stops, for barely 30mn at Loch Ness, most of which are in the pointless cruise. And barely a few 15mn stops that aren’t that much interesting. So many spots we could’ve stopped. At a stream or a bridge over water or something. So many wonderful ones on the way that we barely got to see from behind the glass of a speeding jumping bus. Instead we got a few roadside stops with nothing. One with a mountain. One on a lake where we had been so damaged from the long drive with no stops, to finally stop and find a shop that has chocolate and warm water. No food planned. On a full day tour. This is a 12 hour bus drive with scenery from behind the glass. We had to steal far away photos of good locations. And run at every stop to end up seeing and doing nothing. It’s a tour for old people. Maybe overweight ones. But I would say even for those it’s a disaster. For the price, we could’ve hired a full day cab and stopped at interesting places on our own time.

      Sunshine in Edinburgh
This is an awesome day tour. We went to a few small villages and St Andrew’s and it was just great. Just enough time at each location. Great history lesson. Our tourguide Graham wS the best. Very knowledgeable. Paired history with Scottish music to the point that the entire van was singing along

Great "Centuries of Stories: Stonehenge & the Cotswolds - 1 day tour" by Rabbies
I originally saw the trip "Centuries of Stories: Stonehenge & the Cotswolds -- 1 day" from Rabbie's listed on TripAdvisor, but with no review. I still made the booking as Rabbie have good review for its other trips. The trip is great. Dan, the driver and tour guide, is funny and provides lots of info. The whole day spaced very well. Time to spend at Stonehendge, Avebury Stone circle, and a couple of Cotswolds villages (one has filmed Harry Potter and etc., the other is simply beautiful and charming). Highly recommend this day trip to others.

      Another great Rabbies tour!
What fun day out! Jim, our guide, was lovely. He told us jokes, history, facts and myths, even lead a sing along on the way back. As a photographer, he shared his wonderful work, AND generously took photos so we all looked our best and had a reminder of the day. Scotland (and the whisky) did not disappoint, as we all types of weather, maybe excluding snow, in one day. The other guests were lovely, and I certainly enjoyed talking to all! Certainly a fun way to start off my time in Scotland!!

Great weather, great tour and great guide
A great tour with a great guide who was a multitasking talent (explanations, historic background and of course driving securely) thank you Rhys for that. The tour itself is a must do for people who want to get as many impressions as possible in a limited time frame. The group size is ideal.

      A great Scottish cultural experience
If you want to see and learn about as much of Scotland in a short amount of time this is the experience for you! Breath-taking visuals of the lowlands and highlands give you a condensed visit that will leave you wishing you had booked a longer tour. Our tour guide Ally P was as lovely as the country he hails from and his genuine passion (and puns) kept a long day entertaining and educational. A must for any with a limited amount of time to see Scotland.

      Absolutely perfect!
On the 5-day tour of Orkney and the northern coast of Scotland, our guide and driver was the very aptly named Jim Divine. I cannot imagine a better guide -- he knows the history and geology of Scotland better than I've ever known anything! He was funny and thoughtful, and as a driver he was conscientious and considerate. He had recommendations for places to eat wherever we went. His love for Scotland is evident and he made sure we knew what we were looking at wherever we stopped. The tour buses are small, holding just 16 people, which makes for a perfect group size for 5 days. Everyone got along well and Jim was a big factor in that. He has eclectic music tastes, and he introduced us to the music of several Scottish bands, which was delightful. The accommodations were very good, and I think the longest we ever drove without stopping at least to stretch our legs was about 90 minutes. And there is nothing as beautiful and majestic as the Scottish Highlands. Every stop brought us to unimaginable beauty and deep history. I still can't quite believe that we were able to go inside Maeshowe or actually walk up to and touch the standing stones at Sternness and Clava Cairns. I loved every minute of this tour!

      Beautiful way to explore Scotland
This day tour from Edinburgh was the highlight of our weeklong trip to Ireland and Scotland. The highlands are stunning and this trip offered a great opportunity to see many parts of the country in a short period of time. Kylie was a great guide and made the trip both safe and very enjoyable. We can’t wait to return and explore the highlands further.

      A Little Lacking
It was a very long day! I loved our guide! I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was disappointed. My husband said it perfectly, we would have been disappointed if we had gone to Scotland and not gone to Lock Ness, but we were disappointed anyway. We have been on many excursions in lots of countries, but this is one that was a little lacking. No real stop for lunch either, this may have been because we chose the boat cruise on Loch Ness (as well as many others on our bus).

Our four day/ three night Isle of Skye tour out of Edinburgh was great fun, albeit one with a couple issues.

Our guide, Duncan Martin, was superb; just the right mix of informative and entertaining. I peppered him with questions and he had ready answers to all, mixed with sly humor, atrocious puns and good music.

The scenery was stunning, Due to a ferry closure, Duncan had to improvise, but made sure we had plenty to see.

The coach was very comfortable and Duncan made sure, in an inoffensive way, that we stayed on time.

So, the guide, the coach and the sights all rate 5’s. Why only a 4?

Apparently, a lot of restaurants and B&B’s shut down in late October, the end of the tourist season. They also have staffing issues. The result is that our fifteen passengers were scattered among several accommodations, and restaurants were few and far between. I won’t speak for the others, but one place we stayed had an only enough room for our bed: there was no rom to maneuver past my wife, and we both are small people. The food was OK, but reservations were recommended and sometimes necessary as there were few options available.

This trip is one of the best things I've ever done. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the weather was incredible, which really helped. The bus was clean and comfortable and quite small, which meant that we could go off the beaten track, as we often did. The itinerary was great, we stopped a number of times to see things, and it was fluid which meant that we could do things that the group wanted to do. Our tour guide Andy was amazing. He was friendly and knowledgeable and I loved the stories and history that he told us about. I learned more about Scottish history in those 4 days than I'd ever known before! I'd highly recommend this trip.

The best decision we made when we decided to visit Scotland was to book a 4-day West Highlands and Isle of Skye tour with Rabbies! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the group we were with and our tour guide was absolutely the best part of the experience! Big shout out to Billy, our Rabbie's guide who went above and beyond all of our expectations for the itinerary and more! He knew so much about Scotland and told us many wonderful stories and history! Booking the tour was easy, any emails I sent with questions were answered in a timely manner. We also had Rabbie's book our accommodations for our family of 4 and they chose the best bed and breakfast locations with lovely hosts. Will definitely be recommending Rabbie's to those who want to tour the beautiful country and will look to see if Rabbie's does tours for any future traveling we do while in Europe. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

My wife and I love to travel and in the future we will always seek out small group tours put on by Rabbie's. We did the 4 day Isle of Skye and West Highlands tour with 14 others in a 16 passenger very very nice coach and had such an amazing time. Our driver Duncan was GREAT! He regaled us with history and folklore and also played some Scottish music for us along the way. The scenery on this tour was so beautiful so don't forget your camera. Again - a huge shoutout to Duncan who made this trip so memorable for us and all the others in our group.
I also highly recommend you let Rabbie's book your accommodations when taking this tour as they put us in some wonderful hotel/B&B's. The scenery on this tour was so beautiful.

4-Day Isle of Skye & West Highlands Small-Group Tour was absolutely fantastic and exceeded my expectations!

The locations selected were incredibly beautiful and perfectly curated. We had plenty of stops and opportunities to walk & hike and to take pictures.

Jodie is not only an incredibly knowledgeable guide, she incorporates humor, is a great story teller and has a great music selection.

I have already recommended the tour to several others!

The Highlands are one of my favourite places in Scotland, and they're so varied. I went on a day tour last year with Rabbie's exploring Glencoe and Loch Ness, so when I was looking for a tour to Skye and saw one that also included the West Highlands I knew it would be perfect for me.

There is a perfect balance between the amount of time you spend in the Highlands - visiting Glencoe, Fort William, and Glenfinnan, before you move to Skye. Glencoe is absolutely stunning, it really is one of the most beautiful places I've seen in this world - whether in spring, rain, or covered in snow. The landscape is majestic. Whether it's on this tour or separately, I don't think you've seen Scotland until you've seen Glencoe. Glenfinnan and Fort William are so full of history, and if you get a chance to see the Jacobite steam train go over the Glenfinnan Viaduct then do so.

There is a reason so many people go to Skye, it is a beautiful part of the world, no matter what the weather. There are tiny little pockets that feel like you're the first person to explore them in years, and the island is filled with wonderful stories and legends of faeries and giants. Being in that place you can believe they're all true. A lot of the places you visit are easily accessible but be prepared to walk a few places (uphill) to get to the hidden pockets - it's all worth it I promise.

Our guide, Adam (Trotman), was brilliant. He had the right level of adventure that we were able to explore lots of areas we probably wouldn't have known about and also hit all the spots that everyone should see when visiting the Highlands and Skye. Adam was very knowledgeable and his stories highly entertaining. There were moments when he was just in awe of what we were seeing even though I'm sure he must have seen them a hundred times, and when what you're seeing can still take your breath away after that many times you know it's a special place.

If this is your first trip into the Highlands, or even if you've gone before, then I highly recommend this tour. You get to see so much, without feeling rushed. It's also the perfect way to see Skye, discover hidden glens, get stuck in "traffic" behind some sheep, and just feel how magical Scotland is.

We did this 4 day tour with Andy and had a great time. He was a great guide and gave us lots of information and history about the places we visited along the way. The itinerary was somewhat flexible depending on what the group wanted to do, which was also really nice. I would definitely recommend.

A fabulous experience for 4 days and we never wanted this to end. Jodie was an amazing guide, friend and a great story teller. Through history and humour, we sailed past Isle of Skye and West Highlands as 4 days were fun, entertaining, social, informative and a treat for our eyes. I recommend Jodie highly and would love to have her with us on every tour that I plan to book with Rabbies. Thank you for making this such a beautiful experience for all of us. Till next time, take care.

The tour is only as good as the guide! I wanted to show my girlfriend the beautiful Scottish Highlands without the stress of driving myself. As a local tour operator myself, I am also very interested in history, culture and of course storytelling. I chose Rabbie's Tours because I'd heard that they were the greatest tour operator in Scotland so expectations were already pretty high for their 4 day Isle of Skye and West Highlands Tour. But I must admit Rabbie's Tours went far and beyond my expectations. Our driver Andy was friendly, adaptable and amazing at telling stories. It really made me appreciate the Highlands even more knowing all of the stories both historical and mythological. He completely adapted the tour to our group's need and also showcased his favourite aspects of the Isle of Skye. I want to thank Andy personally for providing my girlfriend and I with such a magical and memorable experience of Scotland. The fact that the weather was non-stop beautiful and full of sunshine really was the icing on the cake!
