Fun and interesting trip through the Highlands from Edinburgh. Rabbies was very well organized and our guide, Fiona, was well informed and charming.
We stopped in a quiet village for a walk around and a coffee, a couple of stops for a walk in the woods or to overlooks to get our “nature” fix , a great stop for lunch and a tour of Aberfeldy Distillery.

If you’re offered the chance to take the upgrade at Aberfeldy for a cask taste, and you’re at all a whisky fan, take the upgrade! We got to try a 23-year old sherry casked single malt straight from the barrel. Very unique and cool.

Overall a fun and active tour without it being too strenuous (if you’re not a hiker)

This tour was amazing and I cannot recommend it enough! A good mix of natural vistas, whisky and beautiful little highland towns. The tour was obviously planned meticulously to enhance time off the bus. Stops were regular and you had ample time to check out the sights. Our tour guide was Duncan and I cannot sing his praises enough. Genuinely cared about everyone’s comfort, had excellent story telling and historical knowledge skills and was a great human - he even bought one of the guests a cupcake as it was her birthday!

This specific tour included going to The Hermitage which wasn’t even on my radar previously - it was a stand out of my entire trip. The Scottish landscape is just breath taking. The Rabbie’s buses are also very comfortable, clean and they take covid precautions seriously. Can’t recommend this company and this tour enough. Just book it!

We had an excellent time on this tour and would highly recommend others take it! It was great to spend a day not driving or planning and just taking in the scenery. We had a fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly guide in Donald, who helped us to learn about Scottish history and culture on the way to our scheduled stops. We appreciated that he also provided music to set the tone and mood and get us excited for what we were about to see next! The tour was a great one day escape from the city, and definitely covered the close by highlights - nature and landscape, whisky and history. Would love to take another tour with Donald and Rabbies again.

Rabbies has been on my mind a lot this year! We were supposed to do a twelve day tour with them in May but unfortunately due to Covid related issues, they cancelled. I needed a refund rather than a deferral and there was no fuss, just a very swift exchange of money back into my account. I was so glad therefore that I had an opportunity to book a short one-day tour with them yesterday from Edinburgh up to the Highlands and the Dewars distillery. Dave was the perfect host - not over effusive, just friendly and funny. He kept us informed and entertained all day. He had a very good play list of local folk artists (up until the final song but we won't mention that 🤣). He gave the impression of being a proud Scot who was pleased to show us a small patch of his beloved country. I've travelled round a lot of Scotland this year. I'll never get tired of this stunning country or the people, and this day trip added to my experience nicely. Thank you, Rabbies.

For our first trip to Scotland we wanted to do several tours, two within Edinburgh and this tour to go out to see the highlands. I CANNOT recommend this tour enough! To start off Rabbie's has a cafe where the bus picks up so if you are leaving early in the morning you don't have to fret about grabbing a bite to eat or hitting the toilet before you head to the starting location.
Our guide was Duncan and he had Graham as well to help him. Both guides were beyond friendly.
Duncan was funny, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for places to check out at our stops. The towns and the views you get to see on this tour are breathtakingly beautiful. On the way back a few of the other passengers took the opportunity to nap after a long day of touring but I stayed up and listened to Duncan tell the story of Mary Queen of Scots and it was fascinating, I ended up watching the movie on the flight back home to learn more. My partner and I agreed that Duncan made this tour great and this tour undoubtedly was the highlight of our trip to Scotland!

What a wonderful tour! I was worried that the time just riding in a car would be painful but our guide and driver Duncan was funny, knowledgeable and entertaining and made the car trip go by in a flash with some interesting facts and stories about what we passed by outside our window as well as some funny jokes, folk music and banter. The locations visited was beautiful sceneries, quaint little towns and the tour made its finale at the distillery. All in all a lovely day trip with an awesome driver. 5/5!

(The only thing that could have been better, there was some confusion at the distillery about what tour people were booking and the guide there seemed kind of stressed)

I went on the Highland Lochs, Glens and Whiskey tour with Rabbie’s and was not disappointed! Our guide Ashley was fantastic. Super friendly and knowledgable and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. The locations we went to were fantastic and we had just the perfect weather. If you’re looking to visit the lesser known parts of the Highlands I can’t recommend this tour enough

I took two trips with them, one from Glasgow and another one two days later from Edinburgh. I had a fabulous time! The guides Stewart and Gavin were very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. They also had their own personalized music list.
The minivan was not crowded and we stayed with our masks on (and AC on too) throughout the trip, while inside. It wasn’t uncomfortable at all.
I couldn’t have chosen a better company to introduce me to Scotland. Next year I hope to take their overnight trips to Orkney and to Sky.
Many thanks to the entire team!

The weather on the particular day was not so good and our guide told us that the Scottish would describe it as "dreich" weather.

The tour was not very hectic and we were not bus bound for long bours(prime reason we booked this tour). Plenty of photo stops. We could  see the colourful autumn foliage. Hermitage walk was good, so was the small town of Pitlochry. However, we could not reach Queen's view b'cos of some road block.

For us, highlight of this tour was visit to Dewar's distillery , being our first distillery tour.

The organisation of the tour alongwith the time duration was perfect. Quick coffee at Rabbie's cafe before the start of the tour was refreshing. We recommend Rabbie's tours.

Stops were not great, not sure of its significance since the driver did not explain further. Scenic but nothing special and driver was not engaging or informative. Only highlight was the whiskey tour at Glenturrent but its an optional £7.50 extra.
Overall, better spend your time on other tours- it leaves you feeling like you just spent time and money for the sake of doing something.

Thanks for taking the time to let us know your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the distillery visit, but are sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with the rest of your tour. Our Highland Lochs, Glens & Whisky tour has a variety of different stops, starting with a comfort stop in Dunkeld and then continuing with a lovely woodland walk in the Hermitage, a lunch stop in the town of Pitlochry and finishing with a visit of a whisky distillery in the area as well as several photo stops along the way at scenic locations. All of these stops are carefully chosen for their natural beauty and cultural interest. As you will see, this tour does receive good feedback and a high satisfaction rating overall but we are sorry you didn't find the stops interesting enough. Entrance fees are not included in any of our tours, so that each passenger has the flexibility to pick and choose the things they want to see on the day. We are upfront about this on our website and in our brochure, and we hope this was clear at the time of booking and did not come as a surprise. During our tours, our guides aim to deliver a variety of commentary throughout the day as well as interaction with the group to get to know everyone. On this occasion, it looks like we have fallen short of what we promise to deliver. Could you please please get in touch with us on tours@rabbies.com to help us identify your booking and further investigate this? Thank you for your time, feedback helps us to identify training needs and keep improving and we really appreciate you helping us with this. Best regards, Susan
