      Great tour and host
Such a great tour! Neil was extremely knowledgeable and friendly throughout the day and was happy to tailor the trip for us a bit. Loved Dunnottar Castle and the lunch stop in Braemar. Thank you Neil and Rabbie’s!

      Fantastic tour!
Alan was a brilliant driver guide on my North East Coastal Trail day trip on Saturday 8th March 2025. This was a part of Scotland I’d never been to, and Alan managed to fit so much into the day. For me, the biggest highlight was visiting Findochty, and i would have loved it if we’d had a bit more than ten minutes there, and slightly less time seeing the seals and Bow Fiddle Rock. Although I suppose I understand why those two places might seem more interesting to some than a beautiful sleepy village, that wasn’t the case with me! We were incredibly lucky to have a beautiful sunny day (in March!) with it being warm enough for me to remove some layers to reveal my t-shirt, and eat an ice cream outside after a delicious lunch in Cullen! This was my first Rabbie’s tour, despite living in Edinburgh which is their hub! I would thoroughly recommend taking this tour if you want to get out of Aberdeen and see the local area. Another highlight (of many) for me was visiting Slains Castle at sunset. Thank you so much to Alan for being an amazing, friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable guide; and thanks to Rabbies for providing these tours! Keep doing what you’re all doing. It’s working! ❤️

      Can't miss this tour
Great tour with multiple stops along the way. Alan, the guide was very professional and had great knowledge to add along the way. The stops at a few towns was great to see the local sites and have lunch. Would do the tour again.

Pleasant surprise with a fantastic chauffeur
While we were in Aberdeen for a few days we wanted to see something of the countryside in Scotland. This looked to us as a splendid opportunity. And we have no regrets on it. Our busdriver Jim is a enthusiastic narator. Whil we were driving he told a lot about the surroundings that came by. It is a day filling program with pleasant suprises. We can recomend everybody to join such a ride through Scotland with Rabbie's

Chris is a great local tour guide
Hi, We just came back from our day trip with Chris as tour guide. Chris is a great local guide with a lot of knowledge whats going on in and around Aberdeen as well as Scotland. We also enjoyed the traditional scottish music he was playing on the bus, while he was driving safely at all times. He was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. Once again, thanks Chris for the great day, it was a pleasure!

      Loch Ness and highland tour
Our driver/guide Chris was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the area and the history. He kept to schedule and was always considerate to the needs of the party. He also kept us entertained with local music artists and some truly terrible jokes. I would strongly recommend this trip.

      Top-notch company
Rabbie’s is an excellent tour company. My wife and I did their week-long Outer Hebrides and Skye tour about five years ago, so the North East Coastal Trail day tour was my second experience with them. They are top-notch in terms of professionalism, knowledge, logistical execution, etc. This particular tour was great for scenery, outdoors, light walking, and small town visits. If I had more time in Scotland (and could plan far enough ahead), I would do many of their other tours as well.

Beautiful, wish we could spend more time in Dunnottar, but overall was a great tour. We had the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the oníric long green Scottish fields and lots of great sights along with lots of interesting facts of the country and places

      Great Tour
I recently took the Dunnottar Castle and Royal Deeside tour with Jim as our guide and driver, and it was an unforgettable experience! Jim was not only friendly and accommodating but also a true historian, sharing fascinating insights about the landscape, the castle's rich history, and the charming villages along the Dee River. Despite the shorter daylight hours in November, Jim expertly managed our itinerary to ensure we saw everything before dark. The van was clean and comfortable, making for a stress-free tour. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Scotland's beauty with a knowledgeable guide!

      Northern Ireland Discovered
Just finished a wonderful tour of Northern Ireland with Royal Irish Tours. Our tour guide, John Stokes, was a masterful story teller and his knowledge of Irish history was superlative. He kept us engaged and enlightened. Saw everything that we wanted to and so much more. Thank you John and thank you RIT for a wonderful journey through the country of our grandfathers birth.

Because there were only 5 people on our tour, our guide Chris was able to squeeze in an additional distillery stop for a wee dram! The coach was comfortable, Chris engaging, and the tasting experiences informative not to mention delicious. The trend in this is a tasting lesson at The Whisky Castle with very informative and helpful whisky expert, the Speyside Cooperage which showed the extensive and expert work that goes into repairing/recharging or making whisky barrels, and a final stop at delightful Cardhu Distillery. Every stop along the way involved friendly and helpful people who obviously love their craft. An added bonus was the scenery of the Speyside area. Worth the money!

This was an unbelievable tour & experience, thanks in no small part to Roger, our guide. Rabbie's runs a highly professional operation: impeccably timely, brilliantly selected range of distilleries & driving routes through the Cairngorms and supremely informative with respect to Scotland's history. My friend and I can't rave enough about our experience. There's no question we'll be back within the year for the Islay tour. Roger, we can't thank you enough -- you're a gem of a person and Rabbie's is lucky to have you. I've got a new appreciation for Scotland, its people and its famous elixir. Just awesome!

This was an amazing day tour with Rabbie's. We traveled with another couple and had a fantastic time. Our tour guide (Neil) was so informative and entertaining during the entire day. Neil shared Scotland's history, as well as answered all of our questions during the day. Neil even knew what the yellow bushy flowers were that grew throughout the countryside (it is called 'Gorse' and it smells like coconut and vanilla). We had several stops throughout the day that gave us plenty of opportunities to take pictures and explore the beautiful countryside. Neil also made it a point to stop at a couple of smaller towns in the Highlands for a whiskey tasting and some shopping. The whiskey tasting at Cardhu was great and the tour at the Cooperage at Speyside to see how whiskey barrels are built and refurbished. Neil even played some great Scottish music in the vehicle to keep the tour and signseeing on-theme. I discovered some new Scottish artists by listening to the music during the tour!

The tour bus was air-conditioned and phone chargers were available on the headrests of the seat in front of you. Neil was a very safe driver and there was space for a small bag (carry-on size) so traveling was very comfortable.

If you aren't sure if this day tour is for you, worry no more! This trip was easily my favorite part of our visit to Scotland! You will not regret spending the money and time having this great experience!!

Squeezed onto this tour last minute (booked the day before). Recommend booking earlier. Alice was a fantastic guide, providing some of Scotland’s history as well as an overview of Scotch whisky. In addition, she (and Rabbie’s) went above and beyond in coming to the aid of this tourist who somehow parted company with his wallet during or shortly after the cab ride to meet the tour bus. Totally salvaged what could have spoiled my enjoyment of the day. Do you see all/many of the distilleries in the area? No, but the variety packed into this plus the benefit of enjoying the Scottish countryside, and you more than get your money’s worth for a 10-hour experience. God bless you, Alice, for being such an angel in helping me, and to Rabbie’s for hiring such excellent tour guides!

Doug really took time to explain details about the Whisky Trail and Distilleries. We enjoyed various photo opportunities along the way. The stops at the Speyside Cooperage and Strathisla - the home of Chivas were really good. The admission to the stops are extra, but well worth it. Thoroughly enjoyed our time!

We were fortunate to once again have the charming Jim for our guide through lovely Speyside, home to many of the worlds most renowned single malt whiskey. His insight into the history of the area added greatly to our tour experience. Watching whiskey barrels be refurbished by experienced Coopers, who go through extensive training and are often children and grandchildren of Coopers who have come before them.
Cardhu provided an excellent tour of the distillery and the process of making whiskey. Once again it was our tour guide, Jim, who made the long day fly by with interesting anecdotes. Loved this tour!

An incredibly nice day in a fantastic landscape, together with Alan, who was a fantastic guide. We got to see exactly what we wanted and since we were the only ones on board he was keen to listen to our wishes. A memorable day that we carry with us all our lives.

We went on this day trip on the last day of our vacation and I highly recommend it. Doug was a fantastic guide and even took us on a little more scenic of a route on the way back which led us to a neat bridge over the river Spey where we stopped for some pictures. The Scottish countryside is very pretty and we were able to see quite a bit of wildlife including pheasants and red deer. The Glenfiddich and Cardhu distillery tours are well run with Drew (Glenfiddich) and Molly (Cardhu) being great guides. We also really enjoyed the speyside cooperage.

The guide used the time on the bus from Aberdeen to Dufftown to give good and informative background information that made the guided tours on the Coopridge and the two destilleries more giving. I liked to note the differences in the destilling processer between the two destilleries. At Cardhu I liked to have an introduktion to flavors that made the testing at the end of the tour more interesting. I recommend to tale part in the blind testing at Cardhu.
