Stephen is the best tour guide!
Excellent tour with Stephen, who gave us a huge amount of info on the back story of Ireland, the Troubles, local believe systems/customs and geography. 7/1 2025 Well worth the trip.

Great way to see the North Coast
Very happy with this day trip. Our guide, Stephen, was very knowledgeable about the area & pretty funny too, a friendly guy! I thought his tidbits of information along the route were really interesting. I also liked the fact the coach was smaller than other companies (although the coach itself could do with a refurb as it did seem a bit old!). There is no lunch option either (bring or buy your own food), but I preferred that as it meant we were ahead of other coach tours & weren't tied in to being taken somewhere for lunch. I thought the tour was reasonably priced as well, certainly compared to other options. We had enough time at each stop to explore, and nothing felt rushed. Would definitely recommend this day trip.

      A must do
We did the extra leg room bus which was worth it. Our driver made sure we were ahead of the big buses so we could beat the crowds. The scenery was beautiful, and the giant's causeway was definitely worth the visit. We had plenty of time to visit a local pub while there also.

      Better than the big buses
Had a lovely day on the Giants Causeway tour from Belfast. Paul our driver and guide was very entertaining helping to pass the time between locations. He was both funny and knowledgeable giving us history lessons on the beautiful antrim coastal route. You could tell he knew what he was doing manoeuvring that vehicle through some back ways to beat the other tour bus traffic. Was great to see both historical and sites from game of thrones. Would encourage anyone to book with odyssey!

Our guide Martin was so informative, sharing lots of info along our entire trip. The Giants causeway was totally great!
We had a tremendous trip. Martin had so much great information all along the way. the Giants Causeway was tremendous and incredibly windy! We hiked most of it and then took the stairs back up with the walk to the visitors center. Saw lots of castles and learned an about Irish history, the Troubles, as well as what's going on with the conflict that still exists in Northern Ireland. Highly recommend this tour!

      Good tour, great driver
Overall we rated this a 4 instead of a 5 as a few of the stops were a just a bit underwhelming, however we would still recommend as a great way to spend the day and beautiful countryside. As well our driver Paul was outstanding, most definitely a 5 star with great knowledge, great story telling and even a good old Irish song

Awesome Day on the Belfast Coast
What a full and wonderful day! It was all we could have hoped for. The time at each of the locations was perfect! The choice for lunch was extraordinary with an amazing view. When people ask what my favorite part of our British Isles cruise was, this was it! Thank you Odyssey.

      Excellent value and comfort
Steve our driver and guide gave us a comfortable and informative experience. Lots of useful information in a smaller coach with plenty of legroom. I’d say excellent value for money. Already recommended Odyssey to some other tourists.

Great tour of this beautiful part of Northern Ireland
Very impressed with the booking process and clear instructions for joining the coach. Small group and itinerary meant we got to Giant's Causeway ahead of the crowds. Travelled by the coast and the glens of Antrim with time for a lunch break at lovely cafe and for a final tour round the different areas of Belfast

      Great commentary and beautiful views
What a great day out. The driver (and I feel awful, but realise I did not catch his name - we went on Sunday 8th September) was entertaining throughout the day, relaying us with stories and facts about each area we went to. We chose the small coach - 26 people which was comfortable, and lots of stops (and comfort stops) to see beautiful scenery. The Giant's Casuseway was incredible to see and well worth the trip. Extremely good value for money.

Giants Causeway is a must see natural wonder!
Amazing views, natural wonders, lunch with a nice location, and a very informative “political” tour of Belfast. Highly recommend to cruise passengers. The tour operator appears to be reliable and resourceful. You are picked up right at the pier and are brought back at the scheduled time.

If you are staying in Belfast for a few days, I would recommend taking some time out from the city & enjoy a day out to the north coast. It was a great tour full of interesting information and a great scenery. Our driver Paul 'B' was brilliant & fun and full of local knowledge. Would not hesitate to use this company again.

Great tour, really reasonably priced- Paul B was our guide and was very friendly and knowledgeable (albeit cheeky- watch out for the pyramid...!) I’m here off season, during stormy weather and we still achieved many sites-all of which are beautiful! Pick up and drop off location is really easy to locate. Whilst it’s a busy, full packed day, you have time to relax eat drink and take a plethora of photos. Wear comfortable shoes and pack an extra layer as can be nippy by the coast. Most places prefer cash so if you can, pop to the cash machine before boarding the coach. I have nothing bad to say about this tour and highly recommend it x

It was a very nice tour, the Giant‘s Causeway is obviously amazing. The bus is a bit smaller than a full size coach and the driver tries to get to each sight a little ahead of the wave of big coaches.
The itinerary isn‘t fully accurate and not in the right order, which isn‘t a huge deal, but the advertised order of sights was part of the reason we chose this tour.
If you are of average size, the bus is perfectly fine. For taller people (up to 6’4) the extra legroom should be enough (just about), but the seats are kinda narrow if you are a bit wider and the upper part of the seat does press into your shoulders.
For the price, it‘s a nice tour.

Hello Mark Thank you for your review Good to hear you had a nice tour. Our buses have extra leg room with more space between the seats. We do not get many 6 foot seven passengers, you were advise when you arrived at the bus to sit at the emergency exit and you would be able to stretch you legs out. You for some reason opted for a different seat. Thank you

I have complaints about the bus and itinerary, but not about the driver/tour guide, who was quite knowledgable and nice. The sound system on the bus is terrible. The sound is distorted like systems from 40 years ago. Also, the volume was so loud it was painful. I asked the driver to turn it down, and he said he would, but it was still terrible. The "small group" bus was packed, every seat taken. I was sitting on the left side of the bus and could not see any of the stuff the driver was talking about out the right side. I would suggest that they not sell EVERY seat on the bus so that customers could get a view of both sides. The tour lasts 8 hours, four of which you are traveling on the bus, but if you can't see one side of the scenery, it is pretty frustrating. The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is just a stop where you look at it from quite far away. They should take it off the tour. Bushmills Distillery does offer "tastings" for minimum 10 pounds. There is nothing to see but a gift shop and a bar. Why is this on a tour? I recommend just a tour to the Giants Causeway, or skip it and do something else.

Hello Jerry Thank you for your review Firstly we are sorry for any pain suffered due to the sound system being too loud, but good to hear the driver turned the volume down when ask. We use smaller buses with extra leg room and more personal space then standard buses. Our business is seasonal and leaving one side of the bus empty to allow all round views would mean we would have to charge double the cost to remain in business. A visit to the rope bridge is not possible as we state on the tour itinerary. Unfortunately the Distillery do not give free tasting, you can purchase different types of whiskey at the bar and people find this helps them choose which bottle to purchase as a gift to bring back home with them. We would suggest a private tour would have been more suitable as you can then set your own itinerary. Regards

As a family of four (two parents, a senior uncle, and two teens) we wanted to get to the Causeway without the hassle of driving ourselves. To that end, this was a good, daylong tour.
Paul, our driver, was affable and energetic. He interacted with tour participants. We appreciated the safety of his driving and the info he provided for us as we made small stops along the way.
There were several short stops, some of which were great and others we felt were not necessary. We would have liked more time in a cute small village than the visit to Bushmills Distillery, which felt like a waste. The visit to Dunluce Castle could have been longer if the distillery was removed from the day.
The time at the Causeway was just right: not too long, and not too short. We got to walk to the columns and beyond. There was a bus for any visitors who couldn't make it up or back down the walk (the walk is about 10 min) for one pound.
Only one small complaints: the smoking of cigarettes close to the bus' front door, both by participants and the driver. For those of us with allergies/sensitivities to smoke, this was rough. It falls on us, as well though, as we could have spoken up and I am sure Paul would have been responsive.

So many coach tour options, happy we picked Odyssey. Highly recommend doing the small coach tour. Doesn't cost a lot more to upgrade and you will appreciate it as you watch all the big coaches loading and unloading. Also makes the overall tour shorter as the smaller bus can navigate the narrow roads easier. Highlights of the tour are the Giants Causeway and the scenery. Our guide was good. Luckily, we had great weather. Tips are to pack a lunch/snacks/drinks and if possible, avoid cruise days.

I read various reviews of many different tour operators before booking this one and oh boy did we make the right decision! We struck lucky with our wonderful tour guide Paul! What a gent! He was so friendly right from the start and quickly learnt the names of all his passengers especially noting both my daughters names and then including them in his commentary which they thought were hilarious! The commentary was fabulous, very interesting but also lots of funny stories too! The tour was just wonderful! It was great to see so many other sights along with Giants Causeway. We were very blessed to have such wonderful weather too! My girls are aged 11 and 13 and I worried how they would get on with a coach tour but they loved every minute and a lot of the credit really has to go down to the wonderful Paul! I can’t recommend Odyssey tours enough!! We loved that this was a small coach as it really wouldn’t have been the same if it was a bog coach full of lots of passengers. Best trip ever!

    This is a top tour

We go away every year as a group of 14 and we all agreed this is this BEST tour we have ever done.

This is not big red bus with a pre-recorded guide this IS a small 29 seater bus with a full day driver - Paul - who shared his knowledge of Ireland and it's northern coast.

If you are a Game of Thrones fan there is added attraction as you visit locations in the show.

Giants Causeway is on my bucket list so another one ticketed with a day of great memories.

A great day from start to finish. Our driver Paul was lovely, funny, very knowledgeable and very friendly. He made the journey very enjoyable, with facts and information about parts of the journey, and bantering with people on the bus. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this tour to future travellers. Also, the coach was spacey, comfortable and clean.

Paul did his job very well, both as a driver and as an entertainer. There's nothing but praise. But whether the Giant Causeway's pile of stones is such an outstanding attraction that it is advertised as is a matter of opinion. At the visitor center there is to complain, then you are not even allowed into the cafe without the horrendous entrance fee and have to queue up at the more distant toilets. The further highlight of the Dark Hedges will also delight only those who have otherwise never seen a beautiful avenue. The Bushmills Distillery was worth a taste and would probably be even more worthwhile for a real tour. Paul did a perfect job!

Thank you for your review Delighted to hear you were happy with the parts of the tour we can control. We agree with you 100% about the Causeway visitor centre (National Trust) and their attitude towards visitors. You really need to go to the National trust site and review it on their site as they will not listen to us. Regards
