About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- karenepearc0 contributionsGreat dayGreat day out to the giants causeway with Paul the driver, who was very knowledgeable but didn't talk constantly like some guides do, great scenery along the wayWritten November 28, 2024
- U6877MJkatyc0 contributionsDo it - this is the best oneGreat tour with Stephen. Learned so much and was very relaxed and comfortable the whole trip. Early start to avoid all the other coaches, so had most spots to ourselves. So glad we did this trip and paid the extra for this particular one. Just 8 of us on a small coach. Other huge coaches turning up full of people just as we left. The weather was on our side too. Beautiful blue skies! Would defo recommendWritten November 24, 2024
- Culture479633029860 contributionsAwesome Giants Causeway tripCovered all the sensible sights good knowledgeable driver who kept us in front of all the other tours. Smaller coach and group made for a better tripWritten November 21, 2024
- DebzG860 contributionsGreat way to see the North CoastVery happy with this day trip. Our guide, Stephen, was very knowledgeable about the area & pretty funny too, a friendly guy! I thought his tidbits of information along the route were really interesting. I also liked the fact the coach was smaller than other companies (although the coach itself could do with a refurb as it did seem a bit old!). There is no lunch option either (bring or buy your own food), but I preferred that as it meant we were ahead of other coach tours & weren't tied in to being taken somewhere for lunch. I thought the tour was reasonably priced as well, certainly compared to other options. We had enough time at each stop to explore, and nothing felt rushed. Would definitely recommend this day trip.Written November 12, 2024
- benwright18070 contributionsPerfect day tripFor a comfortable and more personal tour of Northern Ireland’s coastal sights, this is definitely the best option. Our tour guide Stephen was engaging, knowledgable and funny. There was ample time provided at each sight of the tour, with Giant’s Causeway of course being the main attraction. We were fortunate to have really good weather for the time of year so visibility was clear. 10/10.Written November 11, 2024
- Sightseer323618721930 contributionsA must doWe did the extra leg room bus which was worth it. Our driver made sure we were ahead of the big buses so we could beat the crowds. The scenery was beautiful, and the giant's causeway was definitely worth the visit. We had plenty of time to visit a local pub while there also.Written November 4, 2024
- NDP0 contributionsSpecial small group tourI really recommend the Odyssey tour experience. I had a fabulous day out on one of their small, comfortable and smart coaches with our driver guide, Stephen. It makes such a difference when you are travelling with a group of 10 rather than 50! Stephen made sure that we arrived at the tour destinations (including the Causeway) before the big buses and this made such a difference to the enjoyment of my trip. His fun and engaging commentary added to the trip.Written November 2, 2024
- clairecS8076LP0 contributionsGiants causeway day tripFantastic day trip. Visited all the sites we wanted to see along with a superb coastline journey. Our driver Paul was very entertaining and the icing on the cake! Highly recommend ❤️Written October 31, 2024
- MtothePeelow0 contributionsBetter than the big busesHad a lovely day on the Giants Causeway tour from Belfast. Paul our driver and guide was very entertaining helping to pass the time between locations. He was both funny and knowledgeable giving us history lessons on the beautiful antrim coastal route. You could tell he knew what he was doing manoeuvring that vehicle through some back ways to beat the other tour bus traffic. Was great to see both historical and sites from game of thrones. Would encourage anyone to book with odyssey!Written October 19, 2024
- 348fionao0 contributionsFirst class day out.As a solo traveller I chose the small group tour. The smaller coach was comfortable and clean. Determined to make the most of my Belfast trip. Paul our driver was first class. His knowledge of the area exceptional. Made everyone feel included with his wit and banter. He even gave us a wee song on the bus! Legend of a guy! An asset to the company.Written October 10, 2024
- 406trudym0 contributionsAwesome trip and views!Views were awesome. What I imagined Ireland to be like. Great driver. Loved the stops along the way. Definitely recommend this to others. The coast highway is beautiful.Written October 7, 2024
- WLPRLP0 contributionsFantastic TimeWe had a day of torrential wind and rain, yet still had a fantastic time. Our driver Paul was excellent. Some stories and jokes made the trip go a bit faster. We did pack a lunch to eat on the way, but the first stop made has a nice market. So you could easily pick something up too. We had plenty of time at all the stops, including almost two full hours at the Causeway. I would highly recommend this tour.Written October 2, 2024
- Navigate6962920 contributionsGood tour, great driverOverall we rated this a 4 instead of a 5 as a few of the stops were a just a bit underwhelming, however we would still recommend as a great way to spend the day and beautiful countryside. As well our driver Paul was outstanding, most definitely a 5 star with great knowledge, great story telling and even a good old Irish songWritten September 26, 2024
- Maria14_120 contributionsGreat Day OutGreat way to have a look around outside Belfast city. Beautiful countryside and very knowledgable driver/guide. Although it was a full day's tour, it went very quickly.Written September 26, 2024

Excellent driver guide/Jim. Very informative, amusing and had a lot of local knowledge. Tour to Giants causeway was able to include city tour of peace walls and well known streets in Belfast with a helpful commentary. Tour was much more competitively priced than that offered by tour company and more personalised as there were only 12 of us. Met direct from port and returned likewise. Plenty of time at Causeway and interesting stop off points and photo opportunities en route. Highly recommended and will be a lasting memory. Our view of Belfast has been positively influenced by this trip. Driver was able to drop some people off to do the Titanic experience (booked separately) and collect them to return to ship so very flexible.

Amanda, our guide and Pat the bus driver, absolutely made our day! The tour itself was great and took us to the Giant's Causeway and to the small city of Bushmills for a lunch stop and shopping. We felt that we had adequate time at each stop but we did use the bus that the National Trust park service provided for a small fee that takes you down to the causeway and back up instead of walking it which saved us time. Amanda made sure to point out where we could get food/drink at each stop and where the bathrooms were. After Bushmills, we had enough time before we were due back on board so they took us for a short tour of Belfast which we found very informative. Amanda and Pat made the trip great with their wit and kindness! Pat even shared a local snack with us! It was the best excursion of our entire cruise which surprised me because usually I do not expect that from a big bus tour. Many thanks to Amanda and Pat for a great day that we will definitely remember!

Stephen our driver, was a font of knowledge on the drive to giants causeway. He kept us informed of all our stops along the way. He was also very knowledgeable about the places we went through, and kept us amused with some of jokes. There was plenty of time to view the Giant's Causeway though the walk down to it was further than expected. It is a good idea to take the bus back up to the centre for £1 (free for National Trust members). We had a relaxed 1 hour lunch break on the way back and the sightseeing tour of Belfast to see the peace walls and gates was excellent with time for us to leave the coach and view the amazing murals. This was a very informative tour along with the sights seen.

Our driver Stephen could not have been better. His scripted commentary along with his own local knowledge made for a fascinating tour of Belfast and the giants causeway coast. His sense of humour was great and his willingness to help us all was very refreshing. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The cost of the tour was a fraction of the cruise ships price and the order of the stops meant that we got a jump on the other coaches, so never had to queue at all. And it was very busy at all the stops, but normally , just as we were about to leave. Well done Stephen and odyssey.

Amazing tour with our guide Martin and driver Paddy. Such an informative trip, combined with stunning County Antrim coastal journey to Giants Causeway. If you are a National Trust member take your card as Giants Causeway although free to enter, has exhibition centre and cafe you can use. We were very fortunate to have warm sunshine in late August throughout the day and finished our trip with a thought provoking trip along the Shankhill Road. Thank you Martin and Paddy.

This excursion was Amazing! It was well worth the price paid for a full day of touring the Cliffs of Moher and surrounding areas. Gary was absolutely the Best guide and driver we have ever had. He was very knowledgeable about the area, told us stories, and made the whole experience fun.

The tour started off at a low point with the guide being snarky and refusing to share the itinerary (or if there would be a bathroom stop). The first few stops were a quick photo op rather than an actual stop because the size of our bus prevented access. The Giant's Causeway was definitely worth seeing and we had lots of free time to explore. The guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to perk up throughout the day. We had a fantastic drive through Belfast and lots of extra sites at the end.

We booked the Giants Causeway tour with Odyssey Coach Tours
well in advance of our April 2024 cruise on NCL. The reviews were pretty good. The problem however came with a crowded disembarkation causing my wife and I to evidently be the final pair of the group off the boat and the Odyssey Coach simply left us. We looked for our bus and finally called Odyssey to be told the driver had waited (they said 30 minutes which is inaccurate based on the time of my phone call) then left us. They made no attempt to contact us (even though they had all our info). What makes it even worse is they refused to refund our money. If you cruise enough you will also have a delayed embarkation someday as we did so I'd avoid these guys for a tour company that is a little more accommodating or at least tries to communicate with you.

Excellent value for money at a fraction of the ships excursion price. Our guide/driver, Paul was friendly and humerous whilst showing us the sights of Belfast and the Giants Causeway. The coach was comfortable with plenty of legroom and Paul made sure there were plenty of short restroom stops along the way. Highly recommended.

We spent 4 weeks traveling around the UK last summer and wanted to share my experience on this tour with my family—it was fantastic! Giant’s Causeway was absolutely stunning, those rock formations and ocean views were unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And as a bonus, we got to swing by some Game of Thrones spots, which was a cool touch.
Also, we appreciated the smaller bus we traveled in. With more legroom and only about 20 people, it made the journey so much more comfortable and intimate. Plus, our driver’s advice was spot on, knowing all the best ways to time our visits and navigate the sites. He had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed his story telling throughout the day.
We definitely recommend this tour.

Does this tour stop at The Dark Hedges enroute to the Giants Causeway?

Hi, we arrive with our cruise tomorrow at 8.30 and need to be aboard at 17.30. Would this fit for this tour? What time would you depart? We are a family of 5. Boat is celebrity apex.

Probably too late to help but I think you’ll be cutting it close. Don’t remember exactly when our tour got back to the ship. Since Azamara overnights in Belfast we weren’t worried about the time our tour got back.

Are children the same price? Will you be allowed to cross the carrick rope bridge if it's good weather or will you just get a view of it?

Is it too late to book a shore excursion for tomorrow 9/5 from brilliance of the seas for 1-2 people?
Written September 4, 2018
If you can email or call them do, otherwise Id suggest you prepare yourself for the tour & be outside & approach the busses & ask if you can join last minute. Just make sure you go to the right busses. When we exited the ship at Belfast, there were a few other tours FIRST you had to walk past to get to ours.

We will be on the Astoria visiting Belfast on 10 Sept. Have you any other bookings and if you don't think you will make minimum numbers when would you decide not to put trip on? Thanks would prefer your tour but don't want to miss out at the last moment!

My experience is that They are a very professional tour group, & Im sure they will have multiple buses going that day, they will not stand you up or let you down. You can email them directly & find out for sure how the bookings are going, they will be responsive. When we were there on the Eclipse, they had about 4 smaller buses & 2 large at the port.

My cruise arrives at 7AM and departs at 4PM. Would the hours of this tour accommodate that short time in port.

Yes, they are great about being there when the ship arrives & getting you back on time. They really know what they are doing and are highly reliable.

We arrive on the Princess Pacific on September 6 and are interested in your tour to Giant’s Causeway. I saw the time frame of tour and will check with time we are in Port. Do you at times modify the time of tour to meet the ship’s departure time?
Written May 30, 2018
Yes they do- our recent cruise departed at 4-30 so they had to get us back for 4.00pm ( we think because it was theday before orange day so Belfast was disrupted
