Had a great day on this tour. Our driver Steve was lovely, and The Giants Causeway was spectacular.

We loved the Game of Thrones sights, and thought it was definitely worth it for us but if you’re a big fan just be aware some of the stops are brief. For instance, at the Dark Herges stop there’s only time to walk straight there and back, not really stop for photos or buy anything from the shop. We really wanted to do this as this is the one opportunity to buy anything Game of Thrones related for the day. The only reason we mention this is that we arrived back in Belfast 30 minutes early, so felt there was extra time left over for even a little more time. Whilst we understood the buses can’t access the Ballintoy harbour, we did wish this stop was longer to allow time to walk down there and maybe just take some photos. We understand this is tricky though with the combined tour structure.

Also, just wanted to note that a couple of things the driver said about the GOT studio tour (e.g. that it’s very quiet, there were many visitors there) were not really correct/relevant. He was negative about its location, but the location of the studio tour being out where the actual studio is (Linen Mill Studios) made it an incredibly authentic and special experience. Plus, not sure why this would be an issue when we were all travelling hours and spending lots to see the sights on this Giants Causeway/Game of Thrones tour. So don’t let these comments deter you from visiting the studio, it was absolutely phenomenal. In fact, it would be amazing if your companies worked together to create a combined experience!

We can absolutely recommend this tour and had an amazing day, but just wanted to note those couple of things because if you’re a die hard fan you might feel a bit rushed.

We particularly loved seeing The Wall, Pyke and the caves!

My friend and I had this magical day long trip on the 29th of July! We are guided all through by Patrick, a wonderful story teller and the driver of the trip in many respects. He made us comfortable by giving heads up on what we are going to see, the historical importance, myths and politics around the sites. We visited the Carrick Fergus Castle, saw the statue of Prince of Orange (!), then Carnlough Harbour where a scene in the Game of Thrones was shot, a small village called Waterfoot, the 40 mile long northern coast which was very peaceful, Cushendun Caves, Dark Hedges and the Giant's Causeway!!! This was a stunning and extremely beautiful place, and the experience of mountain walk, hearing the sound of the Atlantic and the view of Causeway Amphitheatre kept us speechless!! We had ample opportunities to stop by at Cafes and had our lunch (pre-ordered by Patrick according to our choice) at Fullerton Arms Restaurant, which had the Iron Thorne (used in the Game of Thrones) and a hand curved wooden door with the Game of Thrones theme. The day was very much fun and full of excitements and it was much more worth than the cost we paid. Finally, our huge thanks to Patrick whose efficient guidance, humorous style of story telling/ narrating, and excellent driving skill made our day and created an exceptionally great memory for us!!!!!

We booked a coach tour but given that many people cancelled, we were offer the opportunity to do a private tour. I have to say we were lucky to have done it. My partner and I had the most wonderful time with Richard Hodgen. He was an extra during the series and he told us all about his experience at these locations. He was an amazing guide but, more importantly, a wonderful human being. It was such an honor and pleasure to meet him and to share this tour with him, showing us his beautiful country. We had the opportunity to do some LARPing (live action role playing) with swords, shield, and costumes provided by the tour in the same exact locations the Iron Islands where located on the series. This is by far the most comprehensive GoT dedicated tour, showing clips and behind the scenes photos of the locations, a first hand story of how the crew developed this fantastic series. And the best aspect for us was the fact that we got to see the real beauty Ireland has to offer and all the history behind it told by one of their own. I recommend this tour, specially the private tour, to couples or small groups to get the most personalised experience!

As a group of 14 pax (11 adults, 1 young adult, 1 toddler and 1 baby) not only as a family travellers, but as tourist paying for the experience. We started the trip with a bad beginning. We were sitting in front row (1 x baby and 1 x toddler) as we were having issues with one of them and we had family on the left hand side (1st row) asking if they could help us; the driver was explaining how the tour will run for the day and we were asked VERY RUDELY, to be quiet. The driver talked about 10 mins on how annoyed he was at hearing a foreign language, after the first stop (as the representative of the group, I came to talk to Steve (The Driver) who after I mentioned he could have said the same, but differently he said, “when people do not shut up, I called them bunch of ignorants” and I said, excuse me?

We were just asking him to have more empathy. We mentioned that it’s more ignorant not knowing a foreign language and assume whatever perception he might have.

We are NEVER recommending this tour to anybody specially if there is not an specialise tourist guide and there is a sense of racism towards a paying tourist and a foreign family who just wanted what we paid for.

You cannot have a driver that is a tourist guide/tour leader, having a business in the tourism industry in Galapagos this is not how you treat people.

Horrible, experience!

As you will see, as well as your family, there are 30 other people on the coach with you. More than half of those other 30 people have complained to either our driver or our office about the noise that your group are making on the coach, and the disruption you are causing to the tour. When you book onto a shared coach tour it is of the upmost importance to be respectful of the job that your driver has to do, and the enjoyment of everyone else on the coach. They all want to hear the commentary that is being provided, and the information being given so that they know about return times at each attraction and lunch. As you will also see, everyone else on the coach is an overseas visitor too, and everyone is treated with the same friendliness and respect, but it is very difficult for everyone involved when one group on the coach is making it impossible for everyone else to enjoy the experience.

Mega day out with best weather. Small village stops on route, fantastic scenery. The Giants Causeway..Wow! Has to be seen! The Dark hedges..well worth a visit. The other big Wow! Derek the driver and tour guide. Amazing character, very funny, and so knowledgeable. Thanks for making it such an enjoyable day Derek. The coach was immaculate very comfortable. Thoroughly recommend McCombs tours, we also got the Titanic museum thrown in for an extra £10 well worth it.

We had an amazing trip!! It was jam packed around the northern coast - beautiful too. Plenty of tips given for each stop! The pick up point it’s great and central. Good value for money. The trip was made by our guide Stephen who was hilarious, informative, had plenty of personal stories, was sharp keping us on time and witty. Appreciated it greatly. As with any coach trip shame about 2 US traveler’s who were repeatedly late, asked for different seats (even though we were all waiting on them) and lacked respect to our guide who handled it super well.

Whatever you do, DO NOT take this tour with McCombs. Instead pay the extra and go with any other company. Their site is misleading in many ways. My friend and I purchased this tour and went a few days ago. After getting on the bus and getting to our first stop 30 minutes away, we realized this was not a tour and ws just a bus ride up north. We had NO tour guide. Just a bus driver who told us he has never watched the show. Also their site says "lunch at a local restaurant'" but it does NOT tell you to order in advance. We got there and half the bus did not pre order and the restaurant refused to cook lunch for us. This was 9 hours of driving to sites, not knowing what each site was. We are all bored and hungry. When we tried asking for a refund this company refused because they told us we went on the tour. Of course we did. We went thinking it was a game of thrones tour. What were we supposed to do? Take an Uber home from 30 minutes away? Shame on them.

Wow what can I say?! Booked to go on this tour with my partner during our 3 night holiday to Belfast. £25 is a very small price to pay for the experience you receive. We travelled with driver Patrick who was informative, funny and conscious of guests needs and told us exactly where everything was, couldn’t have asked for a better coach driver! The tour itself is fantastic, you don’t need to be a GOT fan to enjoy the stunning views and incredibly scenery around! Included was an hour and a half at the Giants Causeway which is unbelievable and plenty of time to explore around the place. Fantastic trip and would highly recommend. Thank you Patrick and Mccombs.

Pick up from the designated hotel was smooth and easy and our driver Stephen was brilliant! He was knowledgeable and had a great balance between the information give and anecdotes and humour! The coach was comfortable however one set of seats did have a huge sticker covering the window and we were about to see such a beautiful coastline - however Stephen did consult the people in those seats who chose to stay there (I wouldn't be happy if I was left with those seats!) Stephen was very clear on the itinerary and the importance of being on time at each stop. Some stops were quite quick but in hindsight we were given long enough. The Antrim coast route was beautiful. The Causeway was amazing and again Stephen gave great information and top tips. It is a trek down and back to the stones but there is a bus that charges £1 each way. We had 2 hours at the stones which was perfect! Our last stop was very rushed (The Dark Hedges) so much so that I'd rather have had 15 mins less at the stones to even out our last stop - however, Belfast was busy with band parades that day. All in all a very enjoyable, informative and memorable day - thanks to Stephen and the beauty of the Northern Irish coast!

The trip was excellent and worthy! Time was well allocated. Steven was our guide and driver. He was humerous and told us the brief history of belfast and insider stories about the Game of Thrones and their filming sites. My trip involved about 30 people so it was a large group. Definitely recommend this trip!
