Stuart is a star - great trip!
Our driver, Stuart, took us to the stops that were mentioned in the itinerary. We went past many landmarks on the way out of Belfast, and he pointed out interesting architecture and old thatched cottages. There were plenty of bathroom opportunities, the first at Carrickfergus castle at ~10:15am. Stuart was a Game of Thrones enthusiast and shipped us to locations that were prominent in the series, like where they filmed The Wall (northern ice wall of Westeros), Carnlough Harbor, and the trees where they filmed The King’s Road (Dark Hedges). If you haven't seen Game of Thrones, they are still really pretty and interesting sites. Stuart is a talented storyteller with a great sense of humor. For example, he told us the legend about the Gaelic giant Finn McCool and the Scottish giant Benandonner who supposedly created the famous Causeway. We learned a lot about Grace O’Malley, badass pirate queen. He also talked about the men who built the Titanic and he was a great-grandson of one of these men. We grabbed lunch before we arrived at the Giant’s causeway (Fullerton Arms, Ballintoy, County Antrim). Stuart had a menu to choose from so we had the Chicken Goujons (chicken tenders) with chips (fries) that were very nice [~17£ or $18.50]. Fullerton Arms handled the tour bus expertly. At the Giant’s Causeway, there are bathrooms to the left in front of the hotel. If you do not use the path through the visitor centre but the one to the right, the entry to the Giant’s Causeway is free. There is a bus that you can use to get to the rocks, it is 1£ or 1€ per ride and you can pay by either cash or credit card. We took the bus back because the path is steep and long. There is another hiking path that is exposed and a long slog, so you probably should be an experienced hiker to use it. It’s probably beautiful. We stopped at the Old Bushmills Distillery. Lots of history here if EtOH is your thing. Stuart also told us about what growing up in Belfast during The Troubles was like. Personal stories. He was very forthcoming and didn’t pick sides or take a certain view. He explained the changes since the Good Friday Agreement and adjusting to the post-Troubles. But yeah, Giant’s Causeway. That was the highlight and it’s absolutely fantastic, but the day was made even better by Stuart and his knowledge of NI.

          Thank you Karl!!!! Great experience!!!!
Karl was our driver. He did an excellent job storytelling and sharing facts in a very delightful and interesting way. Sometimes bus tours you can feel overwhelmed with how much information there is to take in; Karl paced it out perfectly and made it a truly enjoyable ride. We also loved the overall route; we got to see a lot in one day. Since most of the castles and ruins are blocked off, it makes sense to just stop by for 10-30 minutes, since all there is to do is take photos of it. But, for the experiences where you can fully explore, like Giant’s Causeway, we were given AMPLE time to enjoy. The bus ride was comfortable and they let us nap for the last hour as well, which we were grateful for since it is a long day. Also plenty of opportunities to use the restroom. Thank you Karl for such a great experience! We will be using the word “wee” in our vocab when we’re back in New York!

          One of the best!
This was a great tour with multiple stops, Not just the Giants Causeway. We went to Dublin Castle, several excellent viewpoints, a delicious lunch, the Jamison distillery and the dark hedges. The timing was excellent and Karl, our tour guide was knowledgeable, witty, and attentive.

Totally recommend, great day with a great tour company and great value for money 👍
Totally recommend this coach trip, from start to finish it was first class. Patrick, our driver and guide, was amazing on both fronts, so knowledgeable and explained the complexities of Belfast and Northern Ireland to a multi national audience, brilliantly 👍 For all the destinations throughout the day, Patrick made sure we knew what to expect, what to look out for and what time to return to the coach. Coach was very comfortable, great air-con and weather was very kind to us 😊 Got to say, Northern Ireland didn’t disappoint, absolutely stunning scenery, and McCombs and Patrick, 100% made sure we got the most out of our day, thank you 🙏 Would recommend McCombs 👍

          A full day of activities!
A very long day but is it worth £35? Absolutely! Covered a lot of miles and whilst I’d initially only intended to see the giants causeway the rest was an added bonus! By mistake I booked myself on the Game of thrones tour. We stopped at many a place. I didnt have a clue about half of it but friends on social media (who watched GOT) knew exactly where I was so that was nice. Karl the tour guide was very knowledgeable and a good driver! His humour became a bit tiresome towards the end of the day but he seemed like a nice man and I’m probably a bit grumpy. My standout moment from the day has to be the lunch stop at The Fullerton Arms. Excellent food, excellent service and a lovely surprise. Whilst timings have to be strict; telling people you’ll leave them if they are late at the beginning of the day isn’t confidence building. But rules are rules. I loved the places with trees on the estate but the fear of the coach leaving without me was too much so I think I missed part of it :( Like I said the day was a long day but in hindsight, I had a good time, saw lots more of NI and learnt loads as-well. Due to traffic I was dropped half hour away from the original meeting point, almost 40min walk to hostel. But I’m over that now, on the whole an experience that I’d recommend! And the whole family can do it!

Outstanding personal driver for our Mom's bucket list trip to Ireland
My two sisters and I created a curated bucket list trip to Ireland for our mother. Our fantastic St. Paul, MN tour company, Celtic Journeys, arranged for our driver through McComb's. Our driver Dessie was an incredibly capable and wonderful driver. He not only drove us safely around Ireland and Northern Ireland for ten days, but he also shared wonderful suggestions for places to visit, incredible places to eat, and meaningful nuanced personal touches that made our trip a once in a lifetime event for our Mom. We could not have possibly asked for more. We leave Ireland with full hearts and gratitude for this experience, which was made even more special by Dessie. I don't usually take time to make recommendations, but I took time today out of my schedule to recommend McComb's, and specificially our driver Dessie for his remarkable and outstanding service.

          A great experience
This is an excellent day tour for first timers in Northern Ireland. The drive up the coast is spectacular and 2 hours at the causeway is the perfect amount of time. I’m usually reluctant to join group tours but this tour was completely free of pressure or coercion. There is no obligation to spend one penny more. The optional lunch is worth buying though. Patrick was an excellent and informative guide!

          Worth every penny!
A great guide/driver, Paul, gave us fun and interesting facts and history about the places we went. Plenty of stops and photo ops. This was well worth the money and time. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.

History, Humor, Hedges, Causeway, Castles, Coastline, Whiskey, Food and More...
From Belfast: Giant's Causeway Full Day Guided Tour Featuring Paul our driver and guide from McCombs Travel Coach. What a day! We saw and learned so much from Paul and, he has a great sense of humor. In addition to the Causeway, we had many Game of Thrones photo ops, not to mention, stopping at the Bushmill Whiskey factory. In total, we covered 180 miles with much of it up the coast line plus a stop at Fullerton's for lunch. Also, the coach we traveled in was very comfortable and essentially new at 4 weeks old.

          Causeway is an Awesome Sight
I wanted to give them five stars because the driver was really awesome, but they try to give you too much. There are two castle stops: Dunluce Castle (you don't even get close to it, you just get out and take a picture), which takes up 15 mins plus driving time. Carrickfergus Castle which you cannot enter and takes up another 20 mins plus driving time. That could be another 45 mins to an hour at the Giant's Causeway. It takes 20 minutes of walking to see the stones up close plus 20 minutes back. Should have had 2 hours but it ended up being around 90 minutes. I honestly could have used more time at the Causeway. Heres the good part. The trip was amazing and the causeway should be seen. Take the red trail if you're in good walking health. If not, pay for the tram to take you up and down the hill. 1-2 Euros. The Dark Hedges was a nice part of the trip also.

Great tour - and here is the itinerary we took
We had a fantastic day with Patrick our tour guide/driver who was very funny and very knowledgable, keeping us all interested during the drive. At the moment, McCombs seems to offer a Game of Thrones coach tour on their website and a separate Giants Causeway one, but they are in fact one and the same. We were told that the bus would depart at 8.30am, but there is more than one bus completing the tour and your bus just leaves when it is full. We left on the first one. Here is how our day went: 8.08: depart Belfast 8.42-9.00: Carrickfergus Castle (you only visit the outside.) 10.00-10.25: Carnlough Harbour (Braavos Canal in GOT) - this stop was way too long. 11.03-11.26: Cushendun Caves (that doubled as the caves where Melisandre gave birth and also where Jamie and Euron fought in the last season) - another 5 minutes here would have been useful as we seemed to rush it. 12.02-12.50: Lunch. (The pub used by the company has a GOT decorated door made from one of the trees felled from the Dark Hedges. Lunch is an optional paid extra. Everyone except us had lunch here - we just weren't hungry from our big breakfast and wanted something light instead. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat in the rear pub garden where there was lots of space, but options to buy sandwiches or similar nearby are extremely limited if you have not brought anything along with you - something I regretted.) 13.10-15.00: Giants Causeway. (Now, we are National Trust members, so we pre-booked ourselves onto one of the guided tours. The tour WAS good, but it did take up the majority of time we had here and I'm not sure it was a move I would necessarily recommend to others, even though we only had to kill 10 minutes in the gift shop/informative Visitor Centre waiting for it to start. The Causeway itself was overrun with people hogging the more well known features - the boot, the wishing chair, etc and we wasted an awful lot of time queuing to take 10 second photos, something I hadn't planned for and slightly ruined it.) 15.12-15.17: Dunluce Castle (photo opportunity stop only - also, was CGI-morphed into the Greyjoy household/Pyke Castle.) 15.30-15.50: Bushmills Distillery (an unexpected bonus; not enough time for a tour, but enough time for a shot at the bar or a quick cocktail) - again, another 5 minutes here would have been useful. 16.20-16.50 The Dark Hedges (the road to Kings Landing in GOT. A lot of the trees have fallen since filming, but I still enjoyed the walk here.) Patrick was kind enough to drop people off at a number of different locations in Belfast, so most people didn't have as far to go to get back to their hotel. Leaving early meant we got back a little earlier than planned because we were the first bus to leave, which was handy for us. Overall, a highly recommended day out.

          McComb's Giant Causeway tour
Brilliant tour with a great tour guide/driver, Patrick. Its a long day but worth it as so much was crammed in plus the drive along the Antrim coast was worth the price in itself. The stops are well timed and you are given enough time to explore, so really happy with this trip

          Giants Causeway
An excellent trip combines beautiful Irish scenery with Game of Thrones sites but don't be put off if you have never watched the programme because what you see is worth the effort.I didn't have high hopes when we left as it was pouring with rain but that didn't diminish the stunning scenery and the commentary by our driver Karl made everything "sunny".

Desmond was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and flexible with our itinerary. It was great not having to share this experience on a bus with with 50+ other people. We could stop when we wanted to and spend as much time at any location we chose. Be sure to wear comfortable, hiking shoes so you can walk on the stones at Giant's Causeway - nice experience. We would definitely book this tour again with a request that Desmond be our guide!

It is the worst service I have ever seen. The instruction said the check in place is 22 Donagall Road, but when I arrived, I couldn't find the bus. I made a phone call to the staff, they said the bus was in front of the Europa Hotel, and if I couldn't get to the Europa Hotel on time I would miss the bus, and I couldn't get any refund, and getting to a wrong place was totally my own mistake.

        That's so ridiculous.
        这是我见过的最差的服务,上车地点完全不是指引上所写的位置,然后客服告诉我这和他们一点关系都没有,如果我不能及时赶到,我将无法乘坐大巴并且不会收到任何退款。
        绝对的不可理喻。

We had the best private tour with Tony Mulholland and saw every beautiful thing on the list. He gave us insider tips and took us to a couple of places not listed. We also had Tony for a second day giving us the Belfast tour and his version of the black taxi tour. He is friendly, informative, and very prompt!

I had a great day of excursion by the McCombs coaches- especially our great tour guide Stephen with very good knowledge history of Ireland and the areas that we visited. What a lovely pleasant chap who is very well mannered and full of beans! Cracked jokes and made the journey a pleasant one.
It was a combined Game of Thrones and Giant Causeway tour which was absolutely a great experience- besised the weather was fantastic- warm, nice and sunny and have got a tan :-)
We had a most wonderful time- Thank you Stephen

If a private tour is within your budget, definitely go for this one! We were in Belfast in the summer when many locations are crowded with the big coach tours. Being in a smaller group you have more flexibility with your itinerary and the smaller van can go to locations the larger coaches can't.

Our driver Troy was great and provided us with a good mix of GoT knowledge, history and local lore. All of the locations are stunning and it was nice to be able to enjoy them at our own pace.
