Went on this tour as a family and it was the perfect day out, the canoeing was thoroughly enjoyable even for us first timers. Most of this was down to our guide Joe, who throughout the journey gave great knowledge on the area and had us laughing with every other sentence. He really was a great guide and took amazing care of my two elderly grandparents who he had in his canoe. Would not hesitate to book a bearded man adventure again!

It was excellent. The weather was really kind for the last day of November, clear and fine and not too cold. Splendid atmosphere from the off: relaxed and welcoming as we congregated at the van. Some folk needed a while to acclimatise to canoeing and Joe was really patient with those of us who spent forever going in circles or ramming everything in sight. By the time we headed out towards the aqueduct it was like watching a proud mother duck with all her ducklings following along. Heading across the aqueduct was quite a thing. If you're fearful of heights I reckon it's actually better in the canoe than walking because you're sitting just below the edge of the tank, so it didn't feel as exposed as you might expect, the views though, were terrific. Once on the other side of the aqueduct we headed off up the canal and most folk seemed to have gained some level of competence and were able to enjoy serenely trundling up the canal before heading back to where we'd started. I have a narrowboat but have never managed to make it out this far from base. I've wanted to see this aqueduct for years and this is a really grand way to experience it. I'd highly recommend seeing it this way.

Me and my boyfriend had a great experience on this tour! Joe was really informative and supportive throughout the whole tour and his added humour made for a great time for all. The views are lovely and we felt very safe and looked after. It’s a really lovely way to spend an afternoon! Thank you Joe & bearded men adventures!

Our guide, Joe, was absolutely incredible, giving local knowledge of the area and the aqueduct, a good lesson on canoeing, and his fun, friendly personality made our activity better than we could have hoped for, top marks to him👍🏼the activity it’s self is amazing as well, canoeing across the over 100ft aqueduct and around the local canals👍🏼

We had an amazing time on this trip today, Joe our guide was absolutely fantastic. I had my elderly parents with me with one having mobility issues. Joe dealt with this brilliantly and really looked after both my parents. He pre planned that they would go in his canoe so he could paddle leaving my parents to really enjoy the experience. The rest of us had many laughs and learnt how to paddle a two man canoe we even managed to go in a straight line eventually! Thank you Joe for a throughly fabulous experience. We made a lot of lovely memories.

Fantastic trip and couldn’t recommend it enough! The views are incredible and Joe taught us lots of history and loads of tips to make us better canoeists! Absolutely loved all the jokes and banter and can’t wait to do it all again in the summer!

I have been wanting to do the canoe trip over the aqueduct for years. Having seen Bearded Men with another group earlier this year I knew I wanted to go with you and so we booked with you... It didn't disappoint. Joe was brilliant at keeping us all entertained, informed and understanding how to canoe. Loved it. Never thought I would be looking over the edge like that, but I did !! Brilliant canoe tour and the weather held up perfectly. Mike, our guide, was really knowledgable about the aqueduct and gave us great tuition on how to canoe efficiently. I will definitely be recommending this experience to friends and family and am very keen to book on to another Bearded Men Adventures experience in the near future.

Excellent trip! And all round experience l! Booked for my daughter and partner as a birthday surprise and they loved every minute. Felt safe and looked after by the lads. Fun day out for all!

This was a great experience, even in the rain we had great instructions given and facts as we went along the canal. Our instructor was super friendly and very informative unfortunately we forgot his name! The scenery was amazing. 100% recommend for anyone who hasn't done canoeing before, would love to book another experience with this company l!

Despite the wettest weather imaginable this was a great experience. Joe was full of enthusiasm and encouragement, as well as some interesting background info on the aqueduct and history of the surrounding area. The views were fantastic (and would be even better on a clear sunny day). Recommended, even for those without canoeing experience.
