    2 night package
I booked a Legoland package for myself and my 11 year old. It gave us 2 nights in the Coppid Beach Hotel (9 miles away) with 2 days' entry to the park (buy 1 get 1 free). Hotel was really good - great modern room, nice breakfast, much more reasonable than the official Legoland hotel and an easy 20 minute drive to the park. We visited the park on a Friday and Saturday. There was a noticeable difference in queue times. Luckily we covered everything we wanted to do on Friday and on Saturday managed just 4 rides before we couldn't face more queues. None of the rides are especially long so waiting for 45 minutes+ is a big ask, especially for kids. Food is pricey but to be expected I suppose. We mostly took our own and shared a couple of treats in the park. We really enjoyed our visit but both agreed we wouldn't want to be there on a weekend again. Definitely a good visit on a school inset day!

Great first family theme park experience
Great first family experience to a theme park with 6 yr old twins. Lots to do and see. The App we initially thought was great but we found ourselves constantly checking it every 5mins for ride times which weren't always accurate and found ourselves not really in the moment and exploring the park. Top Tips 1. Ditch the App or limit time on it, wonder around, don't put pressure on visiting every ride and be in the moment, you will still see loads of interesting things. 2. Watch a show - the pirate one was fantastic and the kids loved it, plus the adults get time out to sit down and rest your feet. 3.Wear comfy shoes and be prepared to walk up some hilly areas. 4. If you can, grab the tickets on an overnight offer, we did 2 days for 1 with an overnight stay at the De-Vere Beaumont which was fantastic. (Nr to park, great set up for dinner in evening and fab breakfast the nxt day). In 2 days we felt we covered all the park, leisurely. 5. If you watch a show at the 4D theatre make sure you arrive at least 10mins before. We showed up at scheduled time to be told that's when doors close. 6. If you're planning on leaving later in the day, don't leave it until then if you want to visit the big lego shop at the entrance, there will be BIG queues. Best family rides Merlin, Dragon & Haunted House Worst family ride Laser quest - we waited over an hr, defo not worth it and very dated. The whole Egyptian bit is a little dissapointing tbh, they could do so much more with it. Overall we had a great time however there were a few negatives. The park is looking tired, dated and dirty in some places. There was also less staff than needed on the rides, one person doing multiple roles which also made getting on rides slower. Having highlighted the negatives it's still a great park and we all had a wonderful time.

Some small things to be addressed, but all in all, a pleasant experience.
We went for 2 days. The first day was a bit of a mission as it was super busy and I do feel that the park might have been over capacity, so to speak. Day 2, we had figured out where everything was and figured out that certain rides had longer lines and did them at the end of the day, resulting in being able to go on the bigger rides, twice in a row! Win! Long lines and theme parks sort of go together so we were expecting this. Everything was amazing and there were lots and lots to do. Not for the faint hearted, expect to do some walking! Perfect for kids aged 6+. Shout out to the lady who did the puppets story, she is a great storyteller and also the people who did the pirate show. We watched both shows on both days. Great experience. Only negatives were the food options. We were expecting food to be more expensive due to it being a theme park, but the variety is not great and the hot-dogs were just gross. Encountered some dismissive staff members and some who clearly did not want to be there or be helpful. But I suppose there will always be some. Some small things to be addressed by Legoland, but all in all, a pleasant experience.

    Shambolic!
From the moment we arrived there was a catalogue of catastrophes. We booked an overnight stay in the Legoland hotel and on our arrival (our daughter is a wheelchair user), none of the lifts were working!! It took ages to get up to the level for the theme park. These lefts were not fixed for the duration of our stay and a surly member of the bar staff told us that the ones from the bar up to the rooms never work!!! We then had an awful experience in the monster party ride where our children nearly got trampled after the staff forgot about us needing wheelchair access. We were left stuck on the ride while they saw to all the able bodied people and then when the doors opened to let everyone in we had to fight through the crowds to get back to our chair with two children! The staff in the bar area of the hotel were just plain lazy… they were on their mobile phones instead of serving customers and everything seemed too much trouble. Some of the cars in the driving school weren’t working properly and children were being told just to get on with it. A change machine was out of order and when we informed staff, they said nothing could be done. Again we brought up the broken lifts and we’re told “they just don’t work!”. We visited the restaurant in the Castle Hotel and the food took ages to arrive, then after it came, a staff member called Belle rushed us out of the restaurant by persistently asking if we had finished with our plates to the point where we felt we were obliged to leave. The tables and water jug were absolutely filthy and the menu overpriced and of low quality. The final mail in the coffin was when our daughter fell at the poolside and wasn’t offered any assistance at all. There was no first aid, no accident form or any assistance at all! I asked for an accident form and was given one reluctantly… when my back was turned, the form was then altered and I had to call a manager who was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Would totally avoid this hotel at all costs… stay offsite if you you can. Policies and Health and Safety not adhered to whatsoever… dangerous place!

A series of unfortunate events at Legoland woodland village.
We booked this weekend away as an over the top all out birthday weekend away as we paid extra to have a VIP Package for our 8 Year old son who also suffers with ADHD. After having a great first day at Legoland resort our issues started with clubhouse. Problems with Dinner: 5pm dinner reservations 5.05pm Order was taken, supposedly 5.15pm Order was retaken wrong 5.30pm One Pizza was served at 5.30pm 5.40pm 2nd dish was wrong with no sight of third dish. 5.50pm Asked to speak to a manager and was told that our dishes would be right out. 6.15pm finally three dishes come out however two dishes wrong along with burger undercooked and cold chips. 6.20pm finally our 8yo has his Spaghetti Bolognese 6.25 the shift Manager kindly refunded the cost of the meal however with a 8 month old and a plan to play golf before bedtime this massively set back our evening. Problems with the lodge 7.15pm issue with shower, shower screen not sealed properly causing it to leak across the whole bathroom floor spoiling wash bag and clothes. 7.30pm curtain to kids bedroom, the pole fails almost hitting my son in the head and walked to reception to report the issue. Which turns out that it was nearly just screwed into the plasterboard with no fixings. 7.45pm spoke to a manager called Josh about the issues and was offered vouchers and told if needed anything further to email customer services. Was advised that a contractor would be right out to resolve the issue. 8.05pm Maintenance man arrives to assess the issue and at 8.15pm returned to repair the curtain bracket insufficiently as curtain bracket fell within minutes of leaving just by moving the curtain lightly. During this time having to take out 8 month old for a walk due to being woken up because of the noise 8.30pm returned to help desk to advise of issue and told that contractors would be out to sort the issue. 8.45pm new maintenance contractors turn up to finally resolve the issue to a decent strength however a hideous sight. But in doing so waking up our 8 month old in process due to noise and light. 8.55pm discussed the issues with duty manager Joel and was told that if we needed anything that he would ‘sort us out’ and not to worry too much as their are others in a similar but not quite so severe situations (as an attempt to lesser the impact) and said we would get back to him after speaking to my partner. Now contractors left with dirt and debris spread over the floor although offering to come back and clean up but it now being 9pm and with an 8 month old being two hour past bedtime we said that we would sort it. 9pm requested to speak to Joel through the QR service as fed up of walking to reception just to speak to someone never contacted back at this point we have now completely lost faith. To add the cherry on top, bring you’re own travel cot, luckily we did but only remembering that we did after many hours of trying to put our son down on the one that was provided free of charge however it feels like it’s filled with concrete but putting the disrupted sleep down to the events of evening, Once we set up own our travel cot at 2am he was out like a light for a solid 5 hours. And finally, 7.45am Fire alarm went off while queuing for breakfast in the clubhouse, firstly told just to take a seat quick and then told to use any exit no instructions for assembly points the is a simple compulsory requirement for any hospitality. Now I fully understand that there are always issues with new builds as we were told that this was the opening weekend for the woodland village however, I do feel that given the egregious prices we paid for the lodge and experiences they should not come at our cost nor by having the whole evening/weekend ruined.

    Prepare to be disappointed
Food too expensive and burgers were so rubbery i couldn't bring myself to eat it, worst ive had. The place seems to be designed to keep you in queues as long as possible, so they can fleece you for more money by pushing reserve and ride. Communication was poor to non existent, the app helped but needs to be extended to cover all facilities (hotels facilities, minifigure building experience etc). mixture of very good helpful staff and terrible /poorly trained staff. Generally felt the operator doesn't care about the customers experience. Had been looking forward to it, but was very disappointing.

Legoland - great time, they just need to manage rides a bit better to speed things up and add a bit more fun!
Great couple of days..between us did 23 rides (inc 3D cinema and water area) in 2 days so not too bad. 11 rides I think to come back for. We did 2 days for the price of 1 (sold in Nov 23) so good value for money. Hotel (voco) as part of package was 30mins away but great place, clean and spacious, lovely staff, great breakfast. We tomed our visit so we did the rides more on a friday when it is quieter and enjoyed lego builfibg, water activities, playareas, shows and 4D cinema when it was heaving at the weekend. All very clean and welll presented. Toilets accessible and minimal queuing. Legoland I think still do have alot to learn in terms of practical theme park ride management. Single rider lanes might be an idea to fill up empty spaces on rides and speed up queue times, specified number of priority rider spaces on each ride rather than filling up the entire ride with priority riders, more enthusiasm from staff and getting into the spirit for example announcements saying instead of your ride is about to end please.... your flight is coming safely into land, we hope you enjoyed your adventure Etc etc....Also clearer signage whilst queuing so you can be prepared for what combination of adults and children/numbers together etc on each ride. Just some ideas that came to mind as we stood on a queue for 40mins plus! The app is not always realistic on timings I think maybe because of priority riders beating the queue so it's hard to gage the timings. All in all a great time and I would say worth the money...just take a picnic (more benches and picnic areas would be great as v limited) Food is very pricey inside and queues for drinks could be very long.

    Fantastic short break
We came home yesterday from a two night stay in Legoland resort hotel. We had a premium ninjago room. My grandson is ten and my daughter treated him snd myself to this short break. We arrived on Wednesday it was pouring with rain and as we didn’t have tickets for the park until thurs/fri we went swimming in hotel pool and ate in Brick restaurant. We had read awful reviews about the food, But decided to see for ourselves! Pleasantly surprised and when I spoke to staff about this i was told they are doing all they can to bring up standards. Its working. We all enjoyed our meals. My daughter and I are veggies and had veggie burgers. Lovely. my grandson had the kids burger, he loved it snd it was all well presented. Breakfast was included for the next two days and .we have no complaints there either! Staff were so polite and helpful. Massive thanks to Chantelle who waitered us. So helpful and polite. The cleanliness of this hotel is above and beyond reproach. The toilets in the hotel are spotless and I have never seen this in a resort like this before! The toilets in the park are spotless too. Allstars are great with kids and Jackson and the girls made my grandson who is very shy, feel so at home. The park itself kept up the clean theme! We never waited for long for most rides. We took the flight of the lion last and this ride was half hour wait, the longest of our stay but it was do worth the wait! Stunning beautiful 4d cinema experience! Such s fantastic way to end our stay! Magical. All on all we all had a fabulous stay. Enjoyed the park, the hotel and will be back. Thank-you Legoland resort Windsor, missing you already!

    Dirty
Hotel rooms are dirty with items from previous guests left behind on floor. (No hoovering done between guests). Not only our room another couple found a pair of old socks in the bed from previous guests. Our room was made up on the second day but I use the term made up very lightly. Beds were not made up just sheets pulled back over. Cups in room were not replaced and water left in kettle from previous guest. The throws on the end of the beds need to be replaced as the were filthy dirty. Staff are all kids but nice and polite. Park and entertainment are all good and kids had a great time. For the money we spent on 2 nights we expected at the very least a clean room. Maybe I'm just being picky but the room cleanliness is a deal breaker for me I would not stay again for that reason. Park and entertainment areas are tops though. Not sure about food we ate in Windsor on both evenings.

Unclean hotel , poor housekeeping. Unresponsive
Arrived to hotel about 14.00hrs on 21.05.24 Check in wasn't until 4 , all good we went to explore the park. Once into the room, it was evident the carpet was not cleaned as belongings of previous visitor was on the floor. Room was average , headboard dirty, curtains dirty and worn. Spoke with reception who offered to get house keeping to clean the room. Manager met with me said he would send somebody up but clearly nobody had been back in the room as still dirty when we returned to our room.. Came back to room on the 22.05.24 day 2. Housekeeping had been in the room. I have never seen such a miserable attempt in my life at making a bed or cleaning a room.. Park is good, every kids dream but standard of cleaning in the hotel overall is miserable. Staff are all lovely very obliging. You would expect at least a clean room with the price of it

    Good but expensive
We had a great time, we stayed in the resort hotel. Which is ok, my son loved it, the room, the hunt for his Lego etc. biggest thing I would say is rooms are very expensive to stay for what it is but none the less we had a good stay. We didn’t eat dinner there due to the poor reviews online, instead we left the resort for dinner. However I will say breakfast was nice. We did have a drink from the bar in the evening which was really overpriced! Que time for rides inaccurate on the app, with out the second day we would not of got round all the rides. Some of the rides are amazing especially flight of the sky lion. We opted for a sandwhich for lunch which still expensive at £5.50 per sandwhich however this I believe was the cheapest option, a hotdog alone is £8.95. Thought the food and drink was very over priced.

    High expectations, didn’t deliver!
We had really high expectations and paid a lot of money to make the 2.5 hour trip down to Legoland and we were totally disappointed. Luckily we had a 2 day admission ticket because in a total of 14 hours spent at the park, we got on a total of 8 rides, which is definitely not value for money. The reserve and ride is an extortionate amount of money and ridiculous. Try telling a 6 year old that had been queueing for over an hour, why the people in the other line that had waited around 2 mins, got to go in front of him. It’s such a slap in the face. Do not take the estimated queue times as fact, every single queue we got in was over what it had originally said. We had 3 rides break down while we were in the queue so had to turn back. The food and drinks are extremely expensive so advise you take a picnic and empty water bottles as there are water fountains throughout the park. Positives are the staff are really lovely, mini land is great (and no queues!) and some really good playgrounds. Overall, really disappointing and expensive weekend.

    Enjoyable weekend away
What more can be said that hasn't already been said? It's expensive, but that's theme parks! Queues can be very long, but that's theme parks! Parking is best paid for when booking as it saves a massive £2! If you get the weather then it's a magnificent place to enjoy. Also, if you don't want to pay the astronomical food and drink prices, take your own and enjoy the picnic areas. Traffic to and from the park is slow, take a longer route and come in from the west rather than the east. We stayed at the amazing Voco Reading that do a large family room. 5 of us with loads of space to spread out! Half the price of the legoland hotels although if I could afford it I'd probably pay to stay on site just to miss the traffic. Do the big rides first, rush to Sky Lion or Ninjago then have a steady day doing the rest. The laser raider ride probably isn't worth the queue so only do it if you can get there with less than 20min queue time. Oh and DO NOT trust the app queue times! AND the shop needs a mortgage advisor section! All in all, we had a great time and will go again at some point.

Book tickets for the whole family 8 tickets in total on the 1st weekend opening at Legoland what an experience would not recommend it it would appear like Legoland didn't even take the time to test their rides or maybe even have a soft opening to ascertain that everything would be working properly. Not only did we have to queue up yes queues are expected but queue up on a ride only to get to the entrance to be told that the ride isn't working and that we would have to come back later if it was fixed three times in total two-and-a-half hours waiting to not even get on arrived absolutely appalling the place would appear like it was understaffed the time it was taking to get everyone secure and on the rides then only to be on the rides for under a minute was absolutely diabolical for a place that caters for children only having one ice cream parlour is fine to be then told I think we're out of ice cream cones halfway through the day ridiculous buying food tickets in advance only to be told that we can't use them and we queuing up in the wrong whether having to be queuing for another 30 minutes then the restaurant decides to close early and be sent halfway to the other side of the park to be told that we can't use the tickets at that selected vendor is absolutely ridiculous the overall experience we received on the day was disgusting I don't understand how such a big venue cannot run smoothly why were these checks not in place while certain things not done everyone expects to queue but you don't expect to queue for over an hour to get to the front of the queue and be told you can't get on the ride this happened three times on three of the major rides throughout of the day trying it the other rides otherwise was just as bad and I feel they were severely understaffed. The staff were not as a not efficient will walking around like the head all the time in the world you know for such a busy day the first day no the first weekend opening after lockdown if anything they should have more staff to make it run more smoothly it was an absolute shambles. Half of the place was closed half of the rides weren't working or will running engineering checks for half of the day it was just a diabolical experience we had small and older children and half the day they spent doing nothing because of all these checks that should have been placed before the theme park actually opened it was a horrible experience the adults and children alike would not recommend it.

Dear Guest, We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a TripAdvisor review. It is disappointing to hear your recent experience at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort did not meet your expectations. We would like all our guests to have an amazing day and we value each piece of feedback we receive. It is disappointing to hear your comments regarding the number of Food and Beverage outlets. Many food outlets will have new menus with a focus on 'Grab & Go.' Food outlets, buffets and certain stalls may have been reconfigured or closed to ensure covid measures can be met. It does sadden us to hear your comments regarding queue length and wait times for our rides during your visit. Due to there being less room in our queues, less guests on rides, and rides needing to be cleaned often, the Resort will look like a regular school holiday day and queue times are similar to previous school holidays. We are disappointed to read your comments regarding the standard of customer service that you received. All employees are trained to the highest standard and we are sorry that you had this experience. Thank you for addressing this issue in your feedback, please be assured that it will be passed onto the relevant area managers so that the necessary improvements can be made. Please be assured that we have referred your feedback onto the relevant departments to review. Kind Regards, The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Team.

Jesus Christ what a joke. The park was apparently 'limiting' numbers yet it was absolutely heaving, there was no chance any of us were going to manage to keep 2m apart when there were so many people there. No one was bothering to socially distance, and no one was enforcing it either. We were stuck indoors in a hot, in ventilated space quing for at least 30mins with about 100 other people, with most people keeping maybe a max of 0.5m apart. We felt completely unsafe and uncomfortable - there were absolutely no systems in place to keep you government guidelines.
The ques for rides were horrendous, not helped by the fact it was 23+ degrees in full sun, no shade, and no where to refill water. Half the drinks machines were also empty! We kept getting turned away from rides saying they'd reached 'capacity' or had a 'fault'. If you can't hold capacity safely then don't let so many people into your park!! For the amount you pay to get in or eat/drink (Over £2 just for a bottle of water) it was a rip off.
Completely unsafe, with no care taken for the health and safety of guests. Honestly don't know how they are allowed to run like this given the current situation. Get ready for a huge spike in covid cases amongst your visitors!! 👍👍

After reading all of the negative reviews the night before I went in with very low expectations but we had a lovely day, the longest queue we saw was about 30mins. We headed straight to the deep sea adventure as it was one of few rides my 2 year old was able to go on as she was under 90cm and we queued about 25minutes. The park was extremely clean and there were lots of staff around. At no point during the day did I feel unsafe and there were very few occasions where anyone was within 2m of us- I think the show in heartlake city was the only time and that was by our choice, we could have stood at the back but wanted to sit down. Minitown was brilliant and the rapids and trains for my daughter. Lunch at the pizza/pasta place was good value and the pizza tasted really nice and fresh not like at some theme parks I've been to. Will definitely be back once my daughter is a bit taller and can go on more rides.

We took our 2 children here for the day in October as we were supposed to be on holiday but thanks to Covid, that was cancelled.

First off some positive points. The measures the park took to stay Covid safe were impressive. The queues to each ride has markers clearly instructing people where to stand, temperatures were taken upon arrival & the indoor areas such as toilets were well signed with the rules of use.

We had lunch in the Pirate Restaurant I think it was called & while it's not cheap, (to be expected at a place like this I suppose) it was actually pretty good food & the staff were helpful.

Highlight of the day was the mini famous landmarks. I was amazed by the attention to detail on these & having visited a few of the actual landmarks myself, left very impressed. These really are worth seeing.

Some of the not so positive points. The queues were massive & took at LEAST half an hour. The longest we waited was 90 minutes. Not fun when standing with an extremely excited 6 year old. I understand the need for cleaning the rides etc, but the waiting times were so long due to this. We're local to Paultons Park & went there 3 days later. They had guests wearing masks on rides instead leaving every other row empty which worked a lot better. 30 mins max wait & that was for some of the more in demand rides.

Our 6 year old was left pretty underwhelmed at most of the rides though. They all felt a little lazy / designed for 3/4 year olds. He's used to quick roller coasters & such so this was a bit of a let down. I'm not moaning about that, just a word of advice to others.

The bit that really got under my skin was paying for parking. That was a massive kick in the teeth at the end of an average day. When you go somewhere like this, an average family will probably fork out north of £150.00 & to STILL have to pay to park. That's a bit of a joke and I think taking liberties.

I wouldn't rush to go back but would like to visit when covid restrictions have been lifted to see how different it is. Massive potential, bit of a let down.

So went to Legoland for the first time yesterday using the VIP Silver entry and just wanted to give my thoughts and feelings of it.

Mixed feelings to be honest...

It started really well!
Being able to park at the hotel and enter the park through the hotel entrance was great! So much quicker and easier!

In the first hour, we were able to get on 4 rides, including Flight of the Sky Lion and the Fire/Ice Bird drop rides in Mythica!

Sadly, as the day went on, it became abundantly clear that, unlike Chessingtons VIP ride entry which is front of the queue, Legolands is join the Reserve and Ride queue, just with the added freedom of being able to walk away if that queue is too long as you aren't tied to a time in the same way R&R riders are. We were still able to do 17 different rides, plus repeat rides on Sky Lion, Dragon and multiple rides on Mia's Race Adventure as that was our sons favourite!

I definitely can't say that we felt like VIPs at any point after that first hour or so and we left feeling like we must have missed something major we were entitled to as the experience we had was definitely not worth double the price of a standard entry plus Ultimate Reserve and Ride.

Alex got a free driving licence and a free go at panning for gold which would normally have a combined cost of £17 but, for adults, you don't get these even though you pay the same price. Nothing is added to replace those either.

Plus, we'd pre-booked refillable drinks but weren't really given any assistance on how to get them beyond go to a restaurant (many of which are closed at 10am) so took us over an hour and a half to actually get hold of these! Not the treatment you expect when you've paid so much to get in...

In summary, it was still a fun day and I'd recommend the park to anyone with young kids but I'd advise people to avoid the VIP entry as it's nowhere near worth it unfortunately...

Firstly, I need to point out that I am an extremely fussy person and very picky about everything!!!

After reading the bad reviews on Legoland I debated massively about whether to even bother going. However, given that a close friend of mine reassured me past the bad reviews and I had already mentioned to our 3 children that we would end the holidays by going I decided to give it a go and I am so glad that we did!!!

The park is not dirty nor tired. It was pretty much spotless everywhere with staff working hard to keep on top of everything. Yes the Lego maybe slightly faded in areas but anyone with any common sense knows that this cannot be helped due to weathering.

All staff adhered to Covid measures wearing masks, insisting on people wearing masks on rides or in enclosed spaces and we witnessed them consistently cleaning the rides between goes.

One thing that made our visit was that we did pay the extra for reserve and ride and I would say to anyone going during this time and in school holidays to consider doing this. Yes it is expensive but if you want to get on plenty of rides without the stress or queuing you really need to do it. We didn’t queue any longer than 10 minutes for a ride which resulted in us feeling less stressed and the kids age 9,7 and 5 enjoying the visit as they should without having to endure 1 and a half hour queues which is what a lot of the rides were at due to enhanced cleaning times and reduced riders due to social distancing.

It was a costly day out but for our age group of children it was perfect and whilst I can understand some people with older children feeling disappointed about the thrill factor I’d say just do your research on the rides beforehand.

I was so worried before going because of how bad people made it sound but I really think people need to give this place a break and stop being so bloody negative!!! We had a great time and I would Definitely go again

We have wanted to visit legoland for a long time and are so disappointed with how our trip went. From arriving we had to pay extra for parking then extra to cut queue times then extra for some rides which aren’t even included in the initial queue buster pass and it just seemed to go on and on. Aside from that the place was absolutely packed to the point where it was impossible to socially distance and left us feeling quite uncomfortable. I raised this with a member of staff to be told that they were operating at 50% capacity which I just don’t believe as I can’t see it being physically possible to fit more people in. We’d bought the queue buster pass simply as otherwise we’d have absolutely no chance of distancing from anyone or getting on any rides only to find that you can only ‘queue’ for one ride at a time and that often the ride you are queuing for is just randomly closed. This happened to us with the ninja go ride which we had paid an additional £4 each to add to our pass but could still only queue for this ride and no others only for it to then be closed when we were 20 mins away from our slot so all in all it was a bit of a con. Overall I wouldn’t recommend. I think some serious improvements are needed in order to provide value for their customers and also take into consideration their safety as opposed to just getting in as many as possible and then effectively making them pay extra all day in order to be able to stand any sort of chance of experiencing the place but still not guaranteeing it.

Dear Guest, We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a TripAdvisor review. It is disappointing to hear your recent experience at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort did not meet your expectations. We would like all our guests to have an amazing day and we value each piece of feedback we receive. It is disappointing to hear your comments regarding our capacity management. The health and safety of our guests and team members is our top priority and we have implemented measures across the Park. These include significantly reducing the Park’s capacity by capping the number of tickets available to no more than two thirds of the number of guests we would usually welcome at this time of year. It does sadden us to hear your comments regarding queue length and wait times for our rides during your visit. Due to there being less room in our queues, less guests on rides, and rides needing to be cleaned often, the Resort will look like a regular Half Term day and queue times are similar to previous school holidays. Please be assured that we have referred your feedback onto the relevant departments to review. Should you wish to discuss your feedback further, please contact our Customer Services Team via reviews@LEGOLAND.co.uk with a copy of your original review. Kind Regards, The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Team.

Family day out for my Grandson 6th Birthday, we had bought our tickets on line, so we knew about the extortionate price of £8 for car parking, this should have been included in the very expensive ticket entry price. We went on Saturday 15th May so knew indoor attractions were closed, which was a shame as we had bad weather, strange though that the indoor gift shop was open ! that is if you wanted to join a huge queue. Talk about queues, they were all over one hour wait, despite the app giving a much lower waiting time. It was very busy, so think the same amount of people must have been allowed entry, despite half of the attractions closed. Playground a hit with our two small grandchildren, not enough benches to sit on, most parents would like this facility. We ate our lunch outside on viewing steps to a water platform, why was there nothing going on here ? plenty of families were there, and it was outside, very disappointing ! So glad we took our own lunch, extortionate prices, long queues, cant imagine what the place will be like once the new ride opens, and summer holidays. My main gripe is they charged full price for a day that should have been half price for all the attractions that were closed. At very least they should have waived the car park charge whilst only half the park available. Lego buildings look tired. On a bright note, we had great fun watching the children driving the lego cars around a track, what a fiasco ! there must have been about 20 ? cars being used, they were parked at random all over the roads /track so children are let in, then race around finding a empty car, some are parked not in sight, so you have lots of children running around for good 5 minutes, it was so badly organised, poor children were getting into cars that were in the garage that were hooked up to the electric charging points, we spent our waiting time (huge queue ) calling out to children to get out of those cars. No wonder waiting times are long, took about 10 min to load cars, for a 2 minute ride. The staff didnt stand a chance, very understaffed . but made entertaining watch. Hopefully more staff will be employed as the park gets back to normal, we wont be back, when you 6 and 8 its no fun to queue for so long.

Legoland is a ripoff. In order to make the most of your time there you will be required to buy a Ride and Reservation pass which can exceed the cost of the park entrance fee. The new ride and reservation service means you no longer get a device which will tell you when your next ride is available and no longer have the ability to use a dedicated phone app. Instead, you get a website which you have to check constantly or set a reminder for yourself. £25 per person is the basic service which only allows you to book limited rides. The prices then dramatically increase to £90 per person. Think about it. In order to enjoy a day with a young child (and yourself to go with them on the rides) you will have to spend £106 for entry and £80 for the middle tier reserve and ride - £186. But Legoland does not inform you that there will inevitably be queues of an hour and relies on you being pressured into buying the Reserve and Ride at the last minute

Was slightly concerned about going after reading some of the reviews on here. But took lots of advice from previous reviewers and here are some top tips:

*Take your own food. We took a picnic and were extremely glad as the queues at the food places around lunchtime were ridiculous and I would not have wanted to be standing in one with hungry children/toddlers. Other people have said the food is also very expensive.
*Get Reserve & Ride if you can afford it (preferably the Express version at the very least). It cuts your queue times down and also means you don't have to stand in the actual queues for very long. Once you have Reserve & Ride - use it wisely! We booked onto a queue and then went off and explored the play parks, or miniland or went on some of the less popular rides that had really short queues. Plan the next ride you want to go on and as soon as your QR code is scanned, immediately book onto the next ride. We got on a fair number of rides and we went on a Saturday in the summer holidays!
*Plan ahead. Download the app (and make sure your phones are fully charged on the day), check out the ride descriptions and age recommendations and decide which rides your children can/will go on. Look at where they are on the map and plan where you're going to go. It's a massive place and it's easy to waste time getting lost/wandering aimlessly/scouring the map.
*Go and see one of the shows in Heartlake City - they're really good fun. We caught the end of the pirate show at about 12.20pm and then as everybody cleared away at 12.30pm we went and got a seat at the front and sat and ate our picnic. We were then in a good seat ready for the Lego Friends show at 1.00pm. Our 5 year old daughter loved it and our 17 month old was clapping and dancing along.
*There is lots to see beside the rides. Miniland is amazing.
*Our favourite ride was the Deep Sea Adventure submarine ride but for some reason it didn't seem to be very popular so queue times were pretty short. We went on it twice and loved it. We saw sharks and some amazing stingrays really close up. Children loved it.
*Manage your expectations. The queue for the newest ride, Flight of the Sky Lion, was absolutely massive all day from the get go. If you really want to get on the newest/most popular rides, accept that you'll have to queue and take things to entertain the children in the queue.

The staff were all lovely. Really friendly, helpful and lovely to the children. The performers in the shows were fantastic. We had a great day.
