- James B0 contributionsMust see.The "developments" around Stonehenge are reducing the experience by making actual contact difficult. But it is still amazing. West Kennet Long Barrow is a good trip, well worth the visit (if you like this sort of thing).Written November 8, 2019
- gbtraveler20190 contributionsMemorable day exploring Neolithic Wiltshire!Seeing some of the neolithic sites of Wiltshire was on our bucket list but we were on a very tight schedule so Geoff's excellent tour was just the ticket. And we saw them all! The weather wasn't our friend that day but it didn't stop us from having a wonderful time, comfortable ride, good company, flexible schedule, great pub lunch and a fabulous tour of the area. Geoff is a delightful guide, It is obvious that he knows his stuff and is passionate about his subject. He gave a very comprehensive introduction to Stonehenge and the other sites and the afternoon just flew by. I would do more touring with Geoff anytime and can only encourage others to take a tour too!Written October 28, 2019
- GrandmaBarbara04200 contributionsAsk for SebThis day was one of the best (perhaps The Best) day of our 3-week trip to Great Britain and Ireland. Our tour guide, Seb, was knowledgeable, patient, thorough, considerate, and a very pleasant person with whom to spend the day. He covered everything that we had asked for in a concise and informative way. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in Neolithic and/or Medieval history who might be visiting Salisbury. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to this lovely city, we will definitely arrange one or more days with Seb as guide.Written October 13, 2019
- Bekki3690 contributionsStonehenge and AveburyI have visited 2 of these sites, and I can't even express how profoundly they affected me. If you are into ancient monuments, Stonehenge and Avebury are must-sees. I will never forget the way I felt being there. I actually first saw them in the early 2000s. I have always yearned to go back.Written September 4, 2019
- MarinaYager0 contributionsOne of my best trips lately! We had a wonderful day with my adult son touring Woodhende, Stonehange and Avebury. Geoff is very easy to be with. His knowledge of official and non-official history is amazing, it makes you think, wonder and admire the area. I'd say this trip is a physical activity, but not only, its also intellectual. Needless to say that Geoff's British sense of humor added a lot to the trip and made it unforgettable.Written June 10, 2019
- K R0 contributionsFun, full day of the best Salisbury has to offer!I had such a fantastic time on my all-day tour of Salisbury & Stonehenge with Geoff. He’s a history buff who’s full of interesting stories, trivia, and — be ready for them — pop-quizzes (I loved those!) :) I would not have wanted to try to plan the itinerary and the logistics on my own, so I was so happy to leave it all to them and be taken around everywhere. Btw, not everyone includes Avebury on their agenda (I almost didn’t) but I highly recommend it! I actually preferred it to Stonehenge because it’s more low-key, less touristy, but still a magical experience to be able to walk around and touch these massive stones that were so meaningful to humans from millenia ago. Pro tip: be sure to wear some study shoes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty since the rains can turn the trails and turf into mud (at Avebury mainly). I also recommend reading Sarum: A Novel of England before the tour. It’s a heavy tome of historical fiction, but if you can muddle through it, you can get into the stories ordinary individuals with complex plots that unfold in their lives amidst key times in history, such as the Magna Carta, the civil war and time of the Cavaliers and witch-burnings, and so on. Be sure to ask Geoff about it. ;) Thanks again, Geoff, for being such a delightful, tireless guide!Written December 26, 2018
- Linda L0 contributionsAwesome day in Wiltshire for history and archaeology buffs and newbies as well!I'm an American who has spent time in Wiltshire before, but wanted to "dig deeper" into this wonderfully historic, scenic and archaeologically rich area. I hired Geoff for the day and he surpassed my expectations with his in depth knowledge and superb touring abilities. Even if you've been to Stonehenge and/or Avebury before, don't hesitate to contact Geoff for an awesome and fun day that will really give you a lay of the land. And if you're new to Wiltshire you will be glad that your introduction to this wonderful area is with Geoff.Written July 10, 2018
- Joanna B0 contributionsExcellent Tour of Salisbury and Stonehenge with IanIan met us at the port in Southampton with a smile on his face and a jovial disposition and didn't stop regaling us with his marvelous stories for the entire day! We felt like we were out for a drive in the country with an old friend and were sorry he couldn't join us for dinner that evening. Our visit to Stonehenge, Old Serum, Salisbury and Avebury will be one of the highlights of our 2-week European cruise for many years to come!Written July 2, 2018

Four of us were staying in Southampton the day before a cruise. Geoff picked us up promptly in a very comfortable car. We first toured Salisbury Cathedral and surrounding area, and then to Stonehenge. Geoff was very informative and had a good sense of humor. He gave us a lot of history of the area. Very likeable man. Highly recommend him.

We completely enjoyed our day spent with Geoff; we had contacted him easily via email, and he was always prompt in his replies. Upon disembarking our ship, Geoff was there to pick us up and begin our day-long tour. We spent time at Salisbury Cathedral, and Geoff made its history come alive.....he was far more interesting than an audio or self-guided tour! We were also delighted to see the Magna Carta while we were there. Next, we headed to the three "Henges," which were fascinating to us, partly because we had no idea that Woodhenge and Bluehenge existed! As we traveled, Geoff also pointed out various interesting things about the towns and areas we were passing. He is prepared not only with his verbal knowledge, but also maps, photos, etc..., which certainly add to the experience. He is obviously passionate about his job, and keeps current with all information that is offered in the media about the sites he tours. We learned so much and truly enjoyed our entire day. Geoff is as accommodating and pleasant as can be, and our day spent with him is one we'll never forget. Thanks, Geoff, and remember..... always "GET YOUR STONEHENGE ON!!" :-)

Geoff picked us up at our Southampton B&B, and immediately impressed us with his extensive knowledge and obvious passion for the "henges" (stone, blue and wood). He had brought books with illustrations to help explain the history and conflicting opinions on the henges. We also enjoyed Salisbury Cathedral. Definitely a worthwhile tour.

Our guide, Sebastian, picked us up at the Southampton cruise terminal and we were off on the most enjoyable day of touring in 30years! We visited a number of sites in Salisbury and when we told Sebastion of our connection to William the Conqueror, he took us to a number of places relating to King William. The New Forest was wonderful as was Stonehenge! Sebastion has a wealth of information of this area and freely shared it. We were treated like royalty and will use this company again!

What a great level of customer service this team provided us. Geoff worked with us to arrange our private tour (including an early AM pickup from LGW), and he was very patient with some scheduling ping pong on our end. Sebastian was our guide, and we can't recommend him highly enough! He had a great read on us, and what we found interesting, and we felt very catered to. (Plus a super comfy Mercedes sedan didn't hurt.) I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

as we flew in from the States, they picked us up at the LHR which was extremely convenient and went directly to Stonehenge and then Salisbury. the New Forest, however, is not very interesting. Dave was great and even pointed out the place where the Russian was poisoned in Salisbury. slightly expensive but convenient.

I can’t say enough nice things about Geoff, his professionalism, his attention to detail, and his overall knowledge of all subjects. His enthusiasm and love for Stonehenge and the cathedral in Salisbury were over the top and made us want to continue the tours into the night. I will happily recommend Geoff and the tour company to all interested.
This was a trip of a lifetime for myself and my two sisters.

We greatly enjoyed our tour of Stonehenge and a visit to the amazing Salisbury Cathedral (and I was absolutely shocked when my 6 year old told me that the Salisbury Cathedral was his favorite stop on this trip, which included a cruise to Norway). Our tour guide, Jeff, is extremely knowlegeble about the history of Stonehenge, and even brought books along for us and our children to learn more about why the site was built. Anyone who would like an in depth understanding of these sites would greatly enjoy this tour. It was a very lovely day, and an excellent way to transfer from London to Southampton for our cruise.

I'm also interested in visit the inner circle, so it is sad to see that none answer this question because it will force me to search for other option, and otherwise this would surely be te more convenient option to me.
