I booked a walking tour with Jonathan, for my team, as part of a team building event and it was great. Jonathan was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Keeping the group engaged, even with an early morning start after a long day previously. Talking to the group about the new and historical facts about Birmingham City

I would 100% recommend booking a tour with Jonathan.

Our guide Jonathan took us on a 2 hour tour of some of Birmingham's historically significant landmarks offering a huge range of insights and background information, all presented in an amusing and engaging manner. Great value with profits going to a local Birmingham charity so was happy to make an additional donation at the end of the tour for the locally produced Acme referred whistle. Would strongly recommend this and other Positively Birmingham tours above other less genuine providers.

HI - Thanks so much for you feedback and really glad you enjoyed the walking tour. We have been running tours now pretty much every week since July 2016 and it has been great to build up a new attraction for Birmingham. You can find out more about our tours on the Positively Birmingham walking tour website.

Birmingham is a hardy city to navigate if you're not from there. To an outsider its layout is unconventional and hard to read - it seems to be a disparate jumble of shopping centres, tower blocks and redevelopment sites crammed into the collar of a massive concrete ring road.

Jonathan's tour unlocks the hidden history of the highs and lows of a fascinating and important city through the buildings and landmarks that can still be found there. He is a great guide - engaging, fun and articulate and clearly loves the city and its layers.

If you want to get to know more about Birmingham, architecture and British history, then I can't recommend this tour enough.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We really love showing people around this city and the feedback is so helpful in showing we are on the right track. We now have a new tour of the Digbeth part of the city - it runs for the public on Saturday mornings and is receiving great reviews - do come along when you have some time.

I had a fantastic time walking around the city with Michael. He is knowledgeable and gave us insights to things we would have otherwise missed or not given much thought to. Having the audio receiver definitely helps when the city was so lively. Also, a portion of the tour fee goes to charities supporting the homeless!!

Thanks - yes, Michael has incredible knowledge of the city. Glad you enjoyed it. The audio system is certainly a tremendous way of ensuring our guests have an amazing experience - our system has been in use now for five years on our tours and has made an incredible difference.

My first time in Birmingham and this tour made it a fantastic experience! Visited and learnt a great deal from our extremely knowledgeable guide, Jonathan, who kept the tour interesting and fun throughout. I also very much appreciated that safety was a priority and our guide altered the route we took so that we could avoid places that were overly crowded, whilst still providing us an insightful tour of the city. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Thanks for taking the time to write s review. Yes, when the anti-vaccers come to Birmingham we certainly alter our route to keep well away from them like on this tour. Interesting and fun - yes that is the magic mix we continually try and deliver and thanks so much for being part of it. You can see all our upcoming tours on our Positively Birmingham walking tour website.

The canal walk leading into the Jewelry Quarter and that area itself, which I had never visited, was suberb.
We were lead at a comfortable pace with numerous stops at which we heard a huge amount about the city's past and more recent history. All given with good humour and had us all smiling/laughing
I would strongly recommend you book a walk for a very informative and enjoyable 2 hrs

I contacted Positively Birmingham to organise a walking trip for my team. Jonathan got in touch and asked about what we would like to cover. On the day, he led the dozen of us through the main landmarks, stopping at every occasion to give us entertaining and informative anecdotes. He catered to all our professional backgrounds and kept us engaging the whole time. His wit, humour, knowledge and appreciation of history were a privilege to witness and kept everyone amused.
It’s my 10th year living in Brum and I didn’t know 99% of what Jonathan shared with us. I wish I met him when I first arrived to truly appreciate the entrepreneurial roots of this city and how fast it’s changing. THANK YOU Positively Birmingham, it was a great day and will be cherished by all of us!
Totally recommend, worth every penny and every step!

Interesting and eclectic view of Birmingham from a locals point of view. The walk combined the historical and modern perspective of both the art and architecture with the effects of the built landscape on the everyday lives of those who lived and still live in the city.
Two hours is both too long for taster and too short to do justice to the diversity of this complex city .
Jonathan was an informed and entertaining guide though the pace was a little fast at times and older participants might struggle to keep up . All in all worthy of 5 stars as the history is compelling and delivered with humour and passion.

HI - Thanks for taking the time to feedback. Yes, 'eclecticism' is a good word to look at some aspects of this city which is certainly reflected in our tours. We do try and modify the speed of our tours to suit the slowest person in the group - sometimes, like on your tour actually taking 0.5 km out of the route! Do come on our Sunday tour some time when you are in Birmingham again - it follows on from the Saturday tour and has some surprises along the way. Check all our tour dates and times on the Positively Birmingham walking tour website.

We had a great time. Jonathan was a fantasy guide, very knowledgeable and has lots of interesting facts about Birmingham since the 1300s to present day. The audio sets were a great addition as Jonathan can talk to everyone whilst walking between stops.
We saw lots of places we hadn’t seen before and would go back to. Jonathan made the experience interactive and encourages questions from the group. The tour lasts 2 hours.

Thanks so much for you helpful review. As well as our weekend public tours we now have a brand new Peaky Blinder back-story tour. This half-day tour is suitable for up to four guests and visits key locations in the city associated with Peaky Blinders as well as taking the 'secret canal' to the Jewellery Quarter. See the Positively Birmingham website for full details.
