Made for a great day out
The cards cost us £9.95 and we saved about £50 in total even though we didn't take up all of the offers due to running out of time on the day. We had a great day out in Stratford and did a couple of fun things that we probably wouldn't have paid full-price for.

      Great Savings with this card
We recently spent a day as a tourist visiting Stratford. I bought a GoFreeCard for just under £10 and saved over £60 by using five of the offers on it; we could have saved more but ran out of time. We just followed the offers on the card and it gave us a brilliant day out for about half the cost - so I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderfully passionate guide called Kate. We enjoyed every minute of our walk. It felt that we spent only minutes, Kate gave us the feeling of being in the 17th Century English Stratford upon Avon. Kate also explained how the main square outside the RSC theatre would flood. It was so interesting would definitely recommend this tour worth every penny.

It was very interesting and the guide was good. We were in Stratford for 2 days and we did the walk on our first afternoon so it was really useful for getting our bearings and deciding what we wanted to do the next day. My only complaint was that it didn’t start on time and finished late. We had to wait around in the cold for 15 minutes while the guide rang the office trying to track down 3 people who hadn’t arrived. They eventually turned up late but the whole group shouldn’t have been inconvenienced. One woman had a train to catch at 5 and so she had to miss the end of the walk.

It's great that you enjoyed the tour so much - and thank you for your feedback. We always try to ensure that everybody booked onto a tour is present. The delay you mentioned wasn't actually a delay as the Guide did start on time and only left the first stop (RST) having completed the first stage of the tour - by which time she had messaged the office to highlight the missing group. They were then guided by the office to join the group, 15 mins late, just as you left the RST. I'm sure if it had been your group stuck in traffic you would have seen our methods in a more favourable light.

Very informative tour, Kate was a fantastic host. The town is steeped in history and it is fantastic to have a host with such enthusiasm for the area and it is unbelievable what the town and its community has achieved. Having learned about influence of Shakespere and the work he undertook to entertain the world I had a new appreciation of the Arts. It did make me very proud to be English, we have such a rich culture and truly talented ancestors. If anyone is considering visiting Stratford upon Avon and taking this tour I would highly suggest you go for it, even if you are not a Shakespeare boffin! The local people are also so polite, warm and friendly. It was the same in Warwick, the people are lovely in these parts, they do make it a unique place to stay.

Kate was a superb host. So knowledgable with an excellent delivery style. It felt personalised to us, filled with amusing anecdotes and so much historical fact too. The walking pace was excellent. I learned lots and laughed too.

A colleague and I visited Stratford Upon Avon for a conference and decided to book this brilliant walking tour. Richard was so knowledgeable and knew all things Shakespeare. His story telling and the historical details he shared really brought to life Shakespeare’s years in Stratford. I felt at times living in 15th Century England. Loved it thoroughly and highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you Richard very much, Elena

Very kind and thank you so much - and for anybody thinking I'd transported you to the wrong century - what we in the UK call the 16th is commonly referred to as the 15th century in mainland Europe. As usual we must be 100 years ahead [not].

Great history explanations and tour of the city--all the important sites were covered plus some other fun trivia. Walking speed was a little fast for me :) but I appreciated that he was trying to get it all in in the allotted time. He even stayed after a bit to answer some questions.

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience of our Tour, we really do appreciate it. We have noted your comment ref walking speed although we always aim to ensure we walk to match the pace of the slowest walker in the group.

This was the best guided city tour I think I’ve ever been on. Glynda, our guide, is a historian . She has a wealth of knowledge about Stratford, Shakespeare and Tudor and medieval history which she imparts with great humour, enthusiasm and passion. She brought the place alive, stimulating our imaginations to take us into the past and bending very considerate of her fellow townsfolk ( pavement etiquette!)as she regaled us with wonderful anecdotes and facts. We were fortunate that there were only four of us on the tour and we were all alike in being enthralled by Glynda’s fantastic delivery. I feel Glynda(who is writing a book about The Bard) could do it all over again with a whole additional set of fascinating information. Go on this tour if you possibly can.

A must do walking tour. Our tour guide, Glynda (sorry if I have misspelt or got her name incorrect 😬) was fantastic and entertaining. She brought Stratford alive in all its history and enabled us to become closer to William Shakespeare rather than just someone we had to study in school. There was no doubt Glynda is passionate and proud of Stratford. We were also able to apply our historical knowledge gained in Stratford to other tours we did in other areas of England. A worthwhile and enjoyable tour.

Glynda is correct - as she always is. Steeped in the history of the Town and its historical characters and a keen expert in the Tudor period. Thank you so much for your feedback.

Kate was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging, we learned so much from her narration of this tour.
As a local Kate was very passionate about Stratford and was able to answer any questions.

Our family had such a fun experience on this tour! Our guide Marcus was extremely friendly and knowledgable, and he told us not only about Shakespeare's life in Stratford but also about the city and what it would have been like at the time. This was a great introduction to all the major sites in town. We had a lovely time and would recommend this tour to anybody visiting!
