The only way to see Stratford
The best way to see Stratford - hop on and off as you please. Loved that you could listen in as you travelled along. So much we didn't know about Shakespeare!

Easy option to see around Stratford and get to Anne Hathaway’s Cottage
The pre-recorded guide info was engaging and informative; lots of interesting facts about the origin of words and phrases. Sadly, there was only one bus an hour on the day we went, which did impact our enjoyment a little; especially if you don’t want to accidentally spend two hours out of town at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.

      Well worth a trip
Although Stratford-upon-Avon is only a small market town, it is worth taking this bus trip if only to help decide where it is worth walking to investigate further (particularly if it is raining...). We would recommend taking the earliest trip possible to avoid the crowds (we had the bus to ourselves Sunday morning..!).

Great start to exploring the town
Well worth doing to get a feel of the Town. It is extensive and covers the key historic and architectural highlights. The commentary was amusing and informative and the customer service was excellent. Went back to various places in he car next day.

Brilliant and informative way to see the town!
Very informative and gave information we would of never know. Tour guides were very good and drivers very polite and helpful. Marvelous way to see the town especially to go out ann hathaways cottage and mary ardens farm as they are a few miles out of town. You can hop off and on as much as you like. We got the 24 hour ticket and felt it was just enough time, however if you wanted to visit the houses you will need more time so the 48 hour ticket will probably be better.

      Scenic and informative.
We always take the Ho Ho bus and this time we bought the ticket including tickets to entry to William Shakespeare’s visiting places. Suggest you buy the ticket to all 5 on the bus and then visit Anne Hathaway’s Cottage Shakespeare’s wife ) then continue on the bus and visit Mary Arden’s ( Shakespeare’s mother ). The information and sites are very informative and interesting.

      Good way to see Stratford
A good way to learn about Stratford is on the red open top buses. They are frequent every 15/20 minutes and visit the main sites for the tourists. The commentary is very informative and you can hop on and off as many times as you like for £15 for 24 hours.

      Very informative
We jumped on this tour within 10 minutes of arriving in Stratford. Really glad we made this choice as we learnt and saw so much which we would never have seen on our own. The open topped bus was perfect for a hot day and the audio guide was just enough.

Perfect way to see Stratford Upon Avon
A wonderful way to see Stratford Upon Avon. Very enjoyable and a great way to learn little unknown facts. Didn't realise how much we didnt know despite living only 20 minutes away for many years. Only now as a tourist from Australia do we now know!! The day we did the tour it was cold and raining but despite the weather it was still very good. We were a group of 7 adults - family and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Tip - you must have printed tickets to present to the drive of the bus otherwise you will not be allowed on the bus even if you booked online. The instruction to have access to a printer is not provided until after you have purchased tickets. You can go to the information centre to have tickets printed but the day we went (Sunday) the sales person did not know how to do it! Luckily there was another member of staff (out the back office) who assisted.

      Great way to see Stratford
This is an excellent way to see Stratford, learn a little about its history and generally get your bearings. Our guide was informative with some humour and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. It can take up to an hour depending on traffic. You can also get off at various attractions and catch a later bus back - they seem to arrive every half hour. Well recommended.

      Open Top Bus Tour
Great way to see and learn about Stratford Upon Avon, you can hop on and off the bus at the various tourist spots and spend as long as you like in each place before hopping back on the bus again. We pre booked both the city tour tickets and the Five Shakespeare property tickets, both the staff at the ticket office and the driver were polite. I certainly learnt a lot from the recorded talk and really enjoyed it.

      A Good Option
A quick, easy and enjoyable way to see the sights, especially in sunshine on the top deck! We had live commentary which was OK, but it wasn’t made clear on this the stop we needed to get off at to see Shakespeare’s grave (which was shared with another attraction) and therefore we missed it! We could have taken another tour to get there as the ticket was valid for the day, but with limited time we walked there instead!

We used the bus to get around both the town center & outlying areas to immerse ourselves in Shakespeare's world. And it saved us a lot of steps . . . because this is 'horse country'. The driver was very nice, the simple route matched the audio tape well, & we got to stay out of the famous English rain, so it was well worth the $$. There's confusion about where to pick up the bus to start the tour (Google!) but really it's literally between the Visitor Center building and the Pen & Parchment Pub NEAR the Bridge Foot. BTW, the folks in the Visitor Center were nice as well, while we waited for the bus and looked over all those brochures. We used the hop-on hop-off feature several times over the 24 clock hrs that our tickets allowed. An easy recommendation.

What can I say this is a beautiful way to see stratford-upon-avon in all its glory the weather was glorious so we sat at the back up stairs on the open top beauty and I'm so glad we did we had the best time we saw some beautiful spots there is a headphone audio guide and the bus did provide headphones we chose not to use them because we went more for the views than the history although I do love to learn about places history this day was more about us just having a lovely time and that we did. I'd imagine for a family it would be more on the expensive side because its not cheap but we had already decided what we were doing before we went so this was in our budget already. My advice if the weather is rubbish it would be just like catching a normal bus because you wouldn't see as much from inside but if the weather is nice top deck all the way you can see for miles and let's face it that's what you are paying for. It does get full so get the early for a seat upstairs!

We have done different city sightseeing tours around the UK, but this is the one I enjoyed the most.

The audio commentary was brilliant, I'm not overly in to shakespeare, but I found it very interesting. There were also a lot of fun facts thrown in there which was a nice touch.

It was very reasonably priced and well worth doing 😁

    Not worth the money paid!

It was raining and we sat upstairs undercover at the front but it was leaking from the roof onto the seats and passengers. Both sides of the bus on the front seats, the top headphone sockets weren’t working. This meant having to share one set of headphones missing most of the audio! We did move downstairs but the roof was also leaking there too!! The audio is mainly music and there’s not much to it anyway.

We got off at Anne Hathaways House and we we told by the driver the bus comes in intervals of half an hour… we waited for 50 minutes, no apology from the driver when asked just the other bus had broken down? I don’t believe there was another bus!

I have tried to call the company on the number provided and it isn’t working. I also tried to call the main office and no answer or ability to leave a message.

    I wouldn’t recommend this tour.

We booked under the impression that the bus ran every 20 minutes, but when we arrived, were told that it works be running every hour. That meant we would have to wait an hour every time we got out the bus, but figured we already paid and could maybe manage the important stuff. Waited to get off at the furthest point first, Ann Hathaway's cottage. Bus driver said he would be back in an hour. 2 hours and five minutes later, he came back to get us. The next stop was the start of the tour and we had a train to catch so we had to run to see one other point of interest and could only spend 10 minutes there or we would miss our train back. Paid $59 for the bus and $60 for admission to see all the points of interest, got to 2. Daughter was super disappointed as this was to be the highlight of her trip. Won't be doing that again.

The tour is via a double decker open top bus. We purchased the day ticket £15 each you can hop on and off the bus at the different stops however, we just stayed on the bus and enjoyed the journey which takes about an hour. We then went round again.
The buses run approximately every 20 and is a good way of seeing the city and gaining some interesting information.
If you keep your receipt I believe you can use it to get discount on any other city sightseeing trips at other cities.
You can also get discount at various shops and pubs listed in the booklet/map.
Overall not a bad little trip.

Decided to be a proper tourist on my break in Stratford-Upon-Avon and the bus tour does exactly what it says on the website.

If you sit outside on the top deck at this time of year, prepare to duck from overhead branches but the driver and audio does warn you.

The only point that you really need to get off is Anne Hathaway's cottage and what a delight it is. make sure you take advantage of the multi booking of the three main sights by getting a ticket to all three that lasts a year (a decent discount from paying for each).

    Well worth the money.

I bought the tickets for my father who was visiting from Germany and doesn’t understand much English. However, both busses on the route only played the English and French language tracks. Even when I asked the driver, he wasn’t able to enable the German track. Didn’t get anything but “sorry” for having wasted £15 per person on this tour that my dad couldn’t understand anything of. Very disappointed.

Always keen to explore the places we visit and this is a good way to do it usually. However, timetable was meant to be every 20 mins (still says this on the website) and waited well over a hour at one of the attractions near to our accommodation and no joy. Commitments the day of the booking meant that we could only get on the last bus of the day, and this left the start at 16:00 not 17:00 as advertised meaning there was no hop on hop off opportunities.
Driver explained changes from the audio description as we went (given some road closures). He was really good. However, £30 is a lot of money for what became a single trip around town on an old bus!

If there’s a City Sightseeing tour available in a place where I’m visiting I always try to book a tour with them. Great bus tour taking you around the key sites in Stratford upon Avon. We used it to get to Anne Hathaway’s house as well which is a bit of a distance outside the city centre.
