About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- danieldV2889PS0 contributionsExcellent free Bath tour guideHighly recommend the free Mayor Tour Guide. Our guide, Peter, was excellent, very knowledgeable of local history, kept the tour interesting, willing to take questions. Considering it was free, we were able to see and learn a lot about Bath. Tour was approximately 2 hours long but it didn’t feel that long.Written September 15, 2023
- georgecP4307EB0 contributionsBath Blitz walking tour - brilliantI did the Bath Blitz walking tour with Tony on the 80th anniversary of the devastation and it was an excellent experience. It's a very interesting tour, covering several different parts of Bath and whilst focuses on the Blitz does also cover various other important historical facts of Bath's history. Tony is a very informative and professional guide who is able to add a bit of humour and conversation into the tour as well, so I would highly recommend whether you're a local or visiting tourist. I'll be booking another one sometime in the near future!Written April 27, 2023
- addilewis210 contributionsGreat way to see the cityAdrian was the best tour guide I ever had, learned a lot and had a great time! Bath is very walkable and this seemed to cover everything and let us know what to go to later!Written March 11, 2023
- Amanda0320 contributionsTime flew…What a great thing to do, to get you bearings of Bath, see a lot of the area and architecture and hear about the history. Our guide, Matt, was great - knowledgable, interesting and friendly. Absolutely free! What’s not to like?Written January 23, 2023
- ian0fwales0 contributionsBath Free walking tour - excellent.Mayor of Bath walking tour. Walking tour guide 'Mike' was excellent. Knowledgeable, informative, interesting & amusing. Even on a bitterly cold January day it was a very worthwhile walk. These free tours operate twice a day from outside the Roman Baths.Written January 18, 2023
- michelralph0 contributionsMichael, ou fantastic guide to BathFantastic tour of Bath with Michael, our guide. Two hours and a half and we did not see the time pass by (but our legs did!). - Z1507IEgiuliar0 contributionsHave a walking tour with Andy, you won't be disappointed! The walking tour of Bath was one of the highlights of our stay. We were fortunate enough to be guided by Andy, a fun, knowledgeable, engaging guide who we recommend 100%! In the following days in Bath (and to be honest, also many more times since we came back home), we found ourselves mentioning some interesting facts we learned from Andy, and we just look at buildings, streets, parks and cities with a different lens. I think this is the best we could have hoped for: a tour that not only gives you a nice couple of hours, but that also changes the way you look at the world around you. Thank you Andy!Written September 4, 2021

- Yannaben0 contributionsInsightful tourBooked this together with Roman Baths tour. Absolutely loved it. Sarah our tour guide was informative and fun. We walked up back streets and saw places we probably wouldn’t have seen without her together with the main attraction routes. Everyone one knows of The Crescent but I was unaware of The Circus. This was interesting and while standing under the great trees in the centre and hearing the acoustics and echoes was amazing. Loved it. Highly recommend this if you get the chance and big if, if the weather is in your favour, as it was for us.Written September 17, 2020

- williambN871DN0 contributionsDay trip to BathWe decided to do a last minute tour. We had Fred who was informative, interesting and his diction was immaculate. The tour over ran but that was a bonus as we were thoroughly enjoying our insight into the Bath Georgian culture. Would highly recommend these guys. Thank you.Written September 4, 2020
- AndyRuffian0 contributionsInformative and enjoyable - good value walkDecided last minute to pre book the tour adhering to Covid restrictions of course. A small group Assembled outside the Abbey / Roman Baths. Met with guide Andy who then gave a history of Bath, how it came to be and who occupied it. We then proceeded on a circular walk probably 2-3 miles around the city taking in the architecture and human stories. We had regular stops where Andy painted the stories of the past inhabitants from Roman times to present. Visited lots of back streets, and of course Royal Crescent And Pulteney Bridge along the walk. Good story telling and always open to questions, it was a pleasant afternoon stroll to see the city. Maybe a few minutes to take photos would have been nice but overall, great value tour lasting about 1.5 hours.Written August 17, 2020

Amazing experience! The tour was fascinating and our guide Adge made sure to show us the most interesting places (even the ones we wouldn't consider visiting) in Bath. He was very keen to share his knowledge, very friendly, told us a lot about history and surprising facts about the city and paired that with great food stops on the way. Highly recommend :)
