Olivia was full of knowledge about Bath's history, architecture, and present state and coupled that with plenty of wit and humor. Unfortunately, Bath College graduation day was the same day as our walking tour, so it was very crowded. Our guide was knowledgable and courteous. We didn't walk up to the "Circus"; so I did that on my own afterwards (It is steep, so that may be why it wasn't part of the tour?) She did recommend I buy tickets to the Roman Baths online, which was a great suggestion as there were only six tickets left for the entire day.

Thanks for your feedback. You chose the short tour which says clearly does not include the circus. We can’t control the crowds.

Our guide seemed informed and was interesting when we could hear him. Sadly the transparent full length face mask he was wearing muffled his speaking and so we only caught about a third it - despite telling him early on that this was a problem. Not sure if this was because it was the first busy day post-Covid reopening but this needs to be rethought otherwise there’s no point. Guides for other companies weren’t wearing masks and we could hear them better. It’s a shame for the guide and this company but I really wish we had gone elsewhere :(

Thanks for your feedback, we are sorry. Other reputable organisations in Bath such as the Mayors Tour Guides, do wear masks or visors in line with the current guidance for tour guiding. In our opinion visors have very little impact on projection of sound while being an effective safety measure. The guide has a loud voice and we will try and make things better while keeping visitors and staff safe.

Joseph was an excellent tour guide. He was easy to understand, full of love and history for his hometown! So refreshing and delightful to see a young person proud of showing and telling about local history! My Mom friend and I enjoyed this tour very much. We highly recommend it and know you should request Joseph to show you around!

We wanted a short walking tour so that we could get our bearings as we’d never been to Bath before. The guide was great. Regular stops and short stories and snippets of information made it really interesting. Would definitely recommend.

The river cruise was short but very interesting and informative and the captain was very friendly. This was followed by a walking tour of Bath which was done by a young lady who knew about the area and the tour covered all the major parts of Bath, and again it was very informative. I would have preferred to have also seen the crescent but that would have made the walking tour a lot longer but I have no complaints as we enjoyed the whole experience. Very good value for money.

My husband and I did a combined boat and walking tour. They fitted a lot in for 2 hours. The boat captain was very knowledgable and happy to chat at length, the tour guide (albeit not my husbands thing!) was brilliant. She was very enthusiastic and keen.
We would recommend!

Hi,
I booked this walking tour in Bath on 30/9/2023. We were a group of 18 to start. By the time we ended the tour we were only 9. Some left inbetween as they had some work but some of them got lost. The girl who took us cared less, she was quick to walk not loud when explaning.I understand it is a 50 min tour. I think it is better to mention it is gonna be quick or it is not suitable for slow walkers. I have done many walking tours but this was different.

We are sorry that the pace was too fast for you and you had difficulty hearing the guide. We are always interested in feedback but I would recommend saying something at the time as the guide was unaware of your particular issues. In relation to your comments about other guests on the tour, this is incorrect. There were 16 (not 19) people (including babies) on the tour. Only a family left as their baby was hungry and a couple who had a reservation which they had told us about in advance. These guests had all been on our boat tour prior to the walk. I can assure you the guide is passionate about Bath, certainly cares and no one got lost. Everyone was accounted for at the end.

A clearer/more central meeting spot would be a good idea. Ivan was a great tour guide - passionate and friendly.
We covered a lot in 50 minutes (the tour goes at quite a pace!), and Ivan had interesting and informed answers to any questions.

Thank you for your review. The location for this walking tour is at the location of our boat tours as you can have the option of a joint boat and walking tour. You were joined on the walking tour with people from the boat trip. It's central and less than five minutes walk from the main bus and train stations.

The whole experience was very informative, even though I have visited bath before, I definitely learnt a few new things.
For instance, the Jacobs ladders in the Bible feature here. Phoebe our guide seemed to know everything about the area, and was fantastic!
