- EllenJ93700Interesting tour with knowledgeable guide, Mike.Great tour of Bath with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, Mike. This was his first tour, you wouldn’t have guessed!
- 894rays00Walking Tour Around BathSarah Aldridge gave out tour around the Historic Bath myself and Lorraine would like to say a personal Thank you for being enthusiastic articulate, and just having amazing knowledge about not just the buildings but the people that lived and breathed within the walls of Bath itself and those that got thrown over it , if you have never done a walking tour I would highly recommend it within the price we got the entry to the baths also , Again Thank you we are Still talking about it a few days later !!!!
- The Family E00Free Walking Tour of BathThoroughly enjoyed our free walking tour of Bath with Footprints Tours. Tasha was our guide, very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. There were only 3 of us on our tour so we felt like we were on a private tour. Tasha allowed time for us to take photos and didn't make us feel rushed. We saw all the highlights Bath has to offer and I would highly recommend this tour. Tasha did not pressure us for a tip however we felt her tour was definitely worth a tip. We had plenty of time to explore other areas of Bath after our tour had finished.
- Ag_Kar900Great Tour!Amber was our guide for a two hour tour around Bath! She was really nice and fun! Totally worth your time!
- Ambreth2700Walking tourSarah is the best guide ever full of knowledge and energy I highly recommend this walking tour of bath
- Suzy G00The history of Bath is amazing - so says Sarah! My friends and I went on an overnight trip to Bath, googled walking tours and came up with Footprints. Our guide was Sarah, a lovely bubbly young lady who was a mine of information about the history of Bath right back to Sulis Minerva (see, I was listening!) and right up to the current day with the closure of ‘Mineral Water Hospital’. The two hour tour was fascinating and we were lucky that it was a gloriously sunny morning. I’ve been to Bath several times before and already knew my way around, but Sarah’s very informative and interesting tour made me realise how little I knew. You pay a voluntary donation for the tour so it’s certainly not ‘daylight robbery’!....go on this tour and you will find out about the origins of this old English saying!
- littlejanet500Free tour of BathSigned up for a free tour of Bath with Footprints on Friday. Tour was Saturday at 11. Sarah our guide arrived promptly. She seemed quite young but was very friendly and so knowledgeable. The tour lasted 2 hours, she kept it very interesting. There were even a couple of children on the tour and the older child was interested too. At the end of the tour she had explained that she worked for tips only so it was discretionary but sh3 put so much in it that you obviously wanted to pay for the experience. Well worth it and very enjoyable
- albertorousseaux00Good to get to know the cityExcellent tour leaded by Tasha, with our starting point at the Abbey, and then visiting all the most remarkable places along the town. Tasha was great and very knowledgeable. She gave us a lot of info regarding important places like the Abbey, the roman baths and the Royal Crescent. Highly recommendable!
- ishangandhi00Walking tourWe did the Bath walking tour with Sarah. The tour was fun and quite knowledgable. Me and my friends enjoyed it a lot. Thanks Sarah!!
- hereford600Free walking TourWe had an excellent walking tour in Bath with Tasha. Starting at the Abbey, thru the streets past various sights ending at the Royal Crescent. It was an easy pace and distance, lasting about 1 hour 45mins. Tasha was very friendly, knowledgable and made the tour very interesting. Favourite bit was the Circus. Would definitely recommend. :0)
- Alexis L00Excellent walking tour of Bath!Sarah was a wonderful guide, with fantastic information and an engaging presentation. Our kids adored the tour as well. Good for the entire family!!!! And free! Definitely recommend!
- missbrown9000Fantastic free walking tourA fantastic and very knowledgeable tour of bath, our tour leaders Tasha was fantastic ever with a extremely busy bath with the Christmas markets in full swing, it was a very enjoyable tour and I leaned a lots about bath
- 353dillonh00Historical, Funny, Engaging Tour. :)I had a great tour starting at the Abbey today. Learnt a lot about the history of Bath from the Roman era all the way to the Victorian times. It was engaging with a lot of funny interesting facts. I would definitely recommend you go on this tour.
- El S00Very interesting! So much useful and interesting information on the history of the city and the way of life in the past, nicely presented by Sarah and never got bored!
- grcpjtn00A very informative free walking tour!I was going to walk around Bath by myself when I came across the tour sign in front of the Abbey. It had been raining for a few hours then and the weather was pretty cold so in the end only 1 other people showed up but the tour still started. Despite the horrid weather, we still had a great time because our guide Sarah was very lively and friendly, and she's very knowledgable about the history of Bath. I'm glad I took the chance to get on this tour although it was raining, because otherwise I would just be taking pictures without knowing the stories (and legends) behind the buildings around Bath.

Interesting walking tour with good guide and a lovely way to get a background on Bath life and history. The Roman Baths themselves are good to see but found it too crowded with people listening to the self guided tour phones to enjoy the inside museum. People seem to be listening and not looking so think a real person talking would work out better.

A very interesting and educational tour of Bath delivered in an entertaining fashion by our tour guide Dan who clearly knew his material. He was able to answer a variety of questions from different members of the tour party and provide a number of amusing anecdotes to help make it a very enjoyable experience.

One of the good things is to be able to go through without a tour guide, but there in lies one of the downsides. The amount of people aimlessly walking around listening to the pre-recorded tour was worse than having to avoid people vicariously living through their mobile devices and stopping most inconvenient places.
The interactive projections were interesting, and as technology continues to evolve, no doubt this will improve the experience.

Hello, we’d like to come on the walking tour but there is no availability for the Roman baths right now. So we wanted to know whether we can book just a city walking tour or if a large chunk of it includes the baths And it wouldn’t really be worth it? Thank you
Looking to book for a group of 10, what would be the cheapest way?? Thanks

The cheapest way to see the Roman Baths, Bath England is to do it on your own. First the museum exhibits are large, 3D, and excellent, but with limited space around them for viewing. My view was obstructed by a gaggle of school children listening to the audio presentation and not studying the exhibits. So the flow was slow. Consequently, trying to hear a tour guide’s explanation will be difficult in tight spaces. Second, the path through the museum is one way so it's difficult to jump around based on the size of the crowds. That is if you want to spend time studying the models and exhibits.
There is never sufficient time to learn a great deal from a museum. There are too many impediments. The best way to learn anything about the Roman Baths in Bath, England is to learn about it from the comfort of your easy chair before you go. If you don't have time for that, do a reconnaissance via you-tube. Rick Steves has a good video. And Wikipedia has a good wright up with photos. I also recommend subscribing to the Amazon Prime/ Great Courses for a month to view the course called "Understanding Greek and Roman Technology." It will cost less than $10 USD.
To prepare your short introduction to the Baths for your group, consider your audience. Consider their background knowledge. Consider what they want to know at the end of this adventure. Review the available online material and determine what is important to your group. If possible give them a bibliography, and list of media such as videos to review prior to you tour. If possible have a discussion group prior to your visit and after.

There are four parts to the Bath Complex. See the W i k i p e d i a article to quickly learn more. The history of the Baths covers over 2,000 years so there are many topics about which to learn, should you have the interest.
