- SariS61400Worth every pennyA very good guide. Lots of information + funny facts. Two hour walk. We saw very beautiful buildings, learnt quite a few new things.
- GrandTour0751005140200It was fantastic! Our tour guide Tom explained many things about Oxford’s history very well. And he also had some funny jokes in his pockets so it was really an enjoyable trip and I am planning to visit Oxford again Cheers!
- T3708MFpeterl00Amazing free tourAbsolutely amazing knowledgeable guide called Biba the new facts you could only learn from a genuine Oxford history graduate
- nie28400Great way to introduce you to OxfordGreat way to find out more about the history of Oxford University and what it is like to be a student. It also gives you some ideas of where else you may now want to visit to find out more.
- Furious0900Fantastic..Daniel was so good and very informative. I will recommend footprint tours to friends and family. The best in business
- 566sallyr00Excellent Oxford tourThoroughly enjoyable, informative and fun tour - our guide (Richard) was excellent and made the tour extremely interesting
- Storyteller62118000Fantastic and well-paced tour!My sister and I had a really wonderful time on this walking tour. Our guide, Fergus, had so many fun and interesting stories to share. The pacing was great and the information wasn’t overwhelming. We learned about everything from literary history, historic events, funny student traditions to local recommendations. We ended up going to the pub our guide recommended after the tour and it was fantastic- probably wouldn’t have found it otherwise! Also, getting to go inside the colleges and hearing more about the details of the university was fascinating. If you’re looking for an easy, interesting, and fun tour- this is it!
- Francesco L00Incredibly ExcitingThe tour today was wonderful and the guide explained everything very well and thoroughly. I hope to be able to return here one day to be able to visit this beautiful university again, and delve into its very rich and exciting history in even more detail! 😄
- Qtravelerx00OverpricedMissing quite some sites. Entrances very limited to actual historical sites. Good but overpriced . I would not do it again
- Posey5900Walking tourThis was an excellent tour led by Daniel. It was a large group but Daniel managed to engage everyone with interesting historical points and various stories. Recommended
- Linda D00Great tour, fantastic optionWe did the Oxford Free walking tour which we thoroughly enjoyed, Daniel was our guide who had a wealth of knowledge mixed in with a bit of humour. Would recommend to anyone with a few hours in Oxford, even though it is a free tour a tip is recommended and for our tour no hesitation at all.
- ritapL3492KJ00Well-balanced, interesting walking tourDaniel was a great tour guide, delicately balancing facts with some personal opinion, funny asides, current realities, and rumors that were just fun. My teenagers found it interesting and engaging (so much so that they managed to stay off their phones for the whole 2 hours! Whoa!) It was a nice tour.
- Y6393XVianm00Very enjoyableHighly enjoyable experience. The guide was very charming, friendly and knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts and stories. Furthermore he told us a lot about the study system in Oxford, and being a student, which we really enjoyed. We would recommend this; we have also good experiences in other towns with Footprint tours and all of them were very good and interesting.
- rosemarys42300Fabulous companyI highly recommend this company! Due to a train strike we had a problem arriving on time. They called and were so helpful and gracious in handling the situation.
- T2867SLbarbaras00University tour. A must for anyone interested in architecture, history or Oxford. Our tour guide Tom was witty, knowledgeable and entertaining. He bought history life dispite a wealth of dates and facts that could have been dry, Tom's delivery was humorous and memorable. The tour gives a real good grounding in Oxfords importance to England's history. The colleges are magnificent. Tom shared a some of the unique sides of life in the colleges , the unusual customs, rivalry and ceremonies which form the gloriously rich complex tapestry of Oxford and its University. Thank you 5 stars!

I was very disappointed with this tour. There was little to no Harry Potter information/facts shared on this “Harry Potter” tour. Our guide, Jamie, mainly talked about the college itself, his time there and about the many graduations that were going in at the time of the tour. We also were not allowed in the divinity school (because of graduation) which was one of the reasons I booked this tour. The website specifically said it included entrance into the divinity school and the website should’ve specified that there would be no entrance into that building due to graduation. Otherwise, I probably would not have paid for the tour and would have just walked around the college without a guide. I also emailed the company twice regarded my dissatisfaction and have heard nothing back. I would not recommend this tour if you are really wanting a Harry Potter Oxford tour.

Our tour guide, Nancy, was quite talented and knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our Harry Potter tour. I specifically liked her ability to project her voice so that all 19 of us could hear her. She also told us where we were, and were not, allowed to take photos, which was helpful.

Nice walking tour! Nancy is a very enthousiastic guide. She tells interesting stories and now and then she asks questions about Harry Potter, the movies as well as the books. It’ a quiz and she divides the participants over the four houses of Hogwarts. Four participants get a scarf of one of the houses. The kids in our group are a bit shy but she stimulates them to listen to her stories and participate in the quiz. In the end the winning house gets a little price. The tour is interesting and I recommend to do it!

Great Harry Potter tour with tour "witch "(Nancy?) around the streets of Oxford - even for someone unfamiliar with the films/books. Her enthusiasm was catching, she took us to some stunning locations where the films were shot and she wove in other literary connections with this wonderful city apart from J.K. Rowling. At 90 minutes, the tour was just the right length, too.

Thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour. Nancy was in character, very animated, filled with wondrous quips and random facts (which I appreciate) about Harry Potter, and their illustrious association with Oxford. Overall, pleasant experience and would recommend Nancy to any other Potterheads who find themselves in the lovely city!

Anastasia was incredibly passionate, but humble in her knowledge around Harry Potter, and Oxford. She took the time to have a chat with everyone, and used her own experiences at University to bring life to her stories.
We booked the day before, and we didn't really know what to expect with the tour, but to say we were more than pleased was an understatement. The locations were amazing, and even the weather couldn't dampen any ones spirit. We're going to check out the other tours that Footprint provide, as if they're only half as good as this one, then we'll have an amazing time.

The tour was the right length. The tour leader was engaging and informative. The areas and colleges we visited were great. The tour leader connected with the children in the group well, and included them skillfully. The quiz conducted as we went around was really good. The only SLIGHT criticism, and it is a constructive criticism is the misprounounciation of some words, this is not something that I would normally point out - it simply means that someone is a reader - however, if you are orating to a group.... the words were laboratory the name Wolsey. Other than that she is top notch!

The tour was great, I'm so glad we did it! Our tour guide was funny and very energetic, which made the tour even better. She shared with us few interesting facts and stories about Oxford, and of course about Harry Potter and the locations. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who's fan of Harry Potter and wants to know about Oxford and its stories.

My son and I had a great time on our Harry Potter tour with Laura last Tuesday. Laura was great fun and we learnt a lot of interesting things about Oxford University, JK Rowling and the writing and filming of Harry Potter. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour guide, Peter, knew his stuff. Knew everything about Harry Potter, JK Rowling and Oxford with a few extras thrown in about other authors. Quizzed us as we walked round so it was very interactive for all ages.

Hi, is it possible to do this tour midweek (25th or 26th July)? We're a group of 7 people, but may have another family joining us, making it 10.
