Highly recommended! Marion is a wonderful guide and the eateries visited were, without exception, fabulous. Vegans and vegetarians catered for really well. A great way to get to know York and its hidden gems, through the eyes of a local 👍

We enjoyed a lovely amble through York streets with Marion who not only introduced us to a range of ‘foodie’ experiences but also to snippets of local history. What a fun way to experience York and would totally recommend to others!

Marion's Eco Food Tour was a great way to get to know York and its eco food scene, giving us plenty of inspiration and pointers for where to go for the rest of our trip.The food spots she took us to were catered to our needs (two vegetarians in the group) and preferences, with something in there for everyone. Would definitely recommend the tour for any foodies wanting to get know the city from a local.

A pleasant few hours spent in the company of a couple of other like-minded foodies. Our guide, Marion, took us to places we'd not been to in York before, with some local history thrown in along the way too. An eclectic mix of independents, the food was very tasty and we'll likely go back to the places on our own. A great experience, very friendly, and thank you for researching to ensure I could be accommodated in my wheelchair. It was all perfectly do-able, though for anyone not familiar with York, you would probably need help, unless you have a motorised chair.

Really interesting tour round the city discovering new places I have probably walked past a hundred times! Marion was lovely, and full of tips about further places to try at later dates as well. The food was wonderful and it was brilliant to try things that I may not have ordered if I went by myself, but definitely will do in the future!

This tour was great from start to finish. Marion was so friendly and full of conversation, which really helped us quickly get to know the other people on the tour with us. The venues we visited were lovely and I can honestly say that I will be visiting each one of them again next time I’m in York. I would definitely recommend this tour, even if you live local like we do, as it made us try places we had never previously heard of or noticed.

My sister bought this as a gift for my husband and I. We have recently moved to York and we don't really know it very well. The majority of time we have been living here has been in lockdown. We arrivd and met Marion, who is really lovely and approachable. She is such an expert of the food scene in York. We went to many different places, 5 in total and we both loved the experience in each one. I would certainly recommend this as a great day out. We are already excited about booking another tour!

We visited York as a small group to celebrate a friends birthday who booked the tour but kept it as a surprise right up until we met our host Marion outside York Minster. I’d never heard of food tour before and didn’t really know what to expect but what a great way to spend a few hours with good friends and another couple that joined our group. Marion was an excellent host, relaxed and very engaging and she provided interesting information throughout about York, the history of certain locations that we came across and of course the various food establishments that we visited during our 3 hour tour. We were taken to a variety of food outlets with a range of different, very tasty produce and dishes. We have visited York before but had not previously stumbled across any of the places that Marion took us to. The tour is a great way to familiarise yourself with the city whilst identifying some places to eat that I would happily revisit. I would definitely recommend Tours in a Dish to anyone visiting York for the first time or revisiting as we were.

I was no sure what to expect and had visited York on many occasions. . But the tour was excellent taking in unusual venues and also a very traditional butchers. We ate a variety of food from different of countries. And I must admit I have a sweet tooth and the chocolate factory range from different countries was very good. Excellent tour

We were lucky enough to take part in the first Vegan food tour - it was a great experience! My partner and I honestly felt like we were just out with friends all day - Marion is a superb host who has planned these food tours very well, as she has cultivated relationships with the restaurants and shop owners. It's a personable journey, and the food is, of course, excellent and well-balanced in terms of quantity and flavours. We were joined on the food tour by another couple, which felt like the ideal number of people. It's a unique and delicious way to explore York - highly recommended!

The tour was interesting and informative as well as tasty. There was a great mix of places we was taken to. Although we are familiar with York we discovered and learned new things about York. Highly recommended!!
