Lunch Cruise
From $38.24
Overview
Combine your sightseeing with a delicious meal when you explore Leeds via lunchtime river cruise. Board the Captain James Cook—one of the largest vessels on the River Ouse—and set sail from King’s Staith Landing. You’ll enjoy a 2-course buffet lunch, plus tea or coffee. As you go, admire the sights from the water, learn more about Leeds' highlights from the skipper’s commentary, and even glimpse Bishopthorpe Palace: home to the Archbishop of York.
What to Expect

A delightful cruise with delicious food aboard the Captain James Cook, sailing daily from April to September.

Join us for a delightful 1 hour and 30 minute cruise and enjoy a delicious 2 course, plated lunch served on board the Captain James Cook. Your dessert will also be accompanied by a tea or coffee. This cruise sails from our King’s Staith Landing only. Boarding commences at 11:30 a.m., with the plated lunch served from 12 Noon.

The cruise will also include relaxing background music whilst you enjoy your lunch, followed by some informative commentary from our local, knowledgeable skipper as the boat turns at Bishopthorpe Palace, the stunning riverside residence of His Grace the Archbishop of York and also as you head back upstream into the city.

These cruises will be incredibly popular and we are delighted to be able to offer an extensive schedule from April to September. Advance booking is essential (bookings on the day are subject to availability).

Menu:

Individual Chicken and Ham Hock Wellington, Roast New Potatoes, White Wine, Cream and Thyme Sauce

or

Vegetarian Option (must be pre-ordered):
Creamed Leek, Mixed Bean, Mushroom and Wensleydale Wellington, Wilted Spinach and White Wine, Cream and Thyme Sauce (v) (v)

(both served a selection of seasonal vegetables).

***

***

Unfortunately, the Afternoon Tea Cruise does not sail on one of our wheelchair accessible vessels and so there will be some steps before you get to your table.
