Fabulous way to see different parts of London!!
What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon in London!! Superb concept and very well established - great attention to detail. Visited places that we never knew existed and even managed to take in a few pubs en route! All budding 007s should give it a go! As for the alternate offerings, if they match the SPECTRE experience, we are in for more treats!! Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic event, well organised and great fun, especially going into places to get clues and some very interesting tasks. Can’t wait to try the Sherlock Holmes one next

Game did not work for us. No help function
The game didn't really work for us. Found the correct shopwindow. Couldn't find a clue that was supposed to be in shop window. That's it broke. The rest of the whole day and game failed. You can say stuck or fail or skip but the game required those 3 letters to continue. No help function. No ability to play on. Pretty disappointing. Also we chose to do it in December. Was very cold being outside so long. If you give it a try wait for a dry warm day as you are outside a lot

So much fun, great way to explore London too!
Went with 4 best friends. Wanted a different way to celebrate Christmas with them. This was perfect. We chatted, we laughed, we explored parts of London we would never have seen & got totally immersed in the story. Thank you Hidden City, we will be booking another experience in the new year!

    Incredible London experience
This is an incredible experience to do in London. Not only does it keep you on your toes, make you excited where the next clue will take you, allow you to have a drink or 2 (or +) on your adventure, it’s also a great way to explore a part of London. We’ve done a couple of hidden city experiences and each one is brilliant and in a different part of London city. Highly recommend

So clever and lots of fun
We went on the Hidden City 007 James Bond tour yesterday, and it was absolutely brilliant! The setup was very slick with prompt messaging to our team leader, wonderfully imaginative clues, great locations and just the right level of difficulty. What a feeling to be handed a silver briefcase with cryptically closed lock combination that we had to crack in a pub, also allowing us a break from our walk and a spot of lunch! A great walking tour through an underexplored part of London with lots of fun added into the mix, and an impressive end to the tour where all was revealed. I am wearing my Spectre badge with pride! We will be back soon to explore the other tours they offer! Kate Frank

    Excellent day out in London
Brilliant day out, really well organised. We did it for our work Christmas party. The only negative thing was we were 2 teams and we missed having lunch together. By the time the 2nd team got to the pub where we thought we'd eat they had stopped serving. But apart from that a really great day would highly recommend!

A great day out; with a few of London's hidden treasures along the way
Just the right balance of cryptic'ness and clarity, and well thought out. The route was entertaining and the participant venues were great. Couldn't fault it!

    10/10 well designed mystery hunt
This was delightful, exactly what I was looking for on a mystery hunt! Well designed clues, that had a string of "aha!" moments but rarely stumped us for an annoyingly long time, which led to us going for a long walk around scenic parts of London, but without feeling like we were just aimlessly wandering. We particularly appreciated the care put into setting up specific physical locations, and the use of props

    This is a MUST
My first time going and I had sooo much fun! What a great way to see parts of London that's so rich in history and the clues were really smartly worded. Loved every moment of it and can't wait to do it again!'

Super fun, clever and a great bonding experience!
Absolutely brilliant, I loved it! As a fan of treasure hunts and wannabe MI6 agent, my husband arranged the Shadow of Spectre game for my birthday and I was hooked from the first message. We completed this activity as a family of four (children aged 12 and 13) and everyone worked together and took turns to solve the genius clues. The route was great, the encounters were fun and the locations for optional breaks were delightful. Overall, the best thing I have done in a long time by a million miles and I can't stop telling people about it!

A really fun experience! We played Moriarty's Game and loved it. We played in 2 groups of 4, which allowed us to engage in team building but also be competitive. The clues were clever - not too challenging but not too easy either (though a couple did take quite a bit of discussion to solve!) The landmark-based clues were surprisingly up to date! A nice touch is the inclusion of local shop keepers. I highly recommend Moriarty's Game, whether you're a Sherlock fan or not. I will be doing the other games soon.

We came across HiddenCity and its interactive treasure hunts following an online search for team building events in London.

From reading through their website, Moriarty's Game: The Professor's Invitation sounded ideal, as it was very reasonably priced, the planned duration was 3-4 hours and it was suitable for a mix of persons from different countries and roles, which we split into teams to compete against each other.

Once we'd all finished, everyone agreed this was a fun but challenging event, even on a cold day in December. They loved the interactive nature with instructions sent via WhatsApp or SMS, and that it made everyone work together to solve the clues in the quickest time possible whilst seeing unfamiliar parts of London. The only gripe was some of the accidental time penalties we incurred - courtesy of user error with the phone and auto-correct spelling.

We all agreed that we would love to do another one in the future, especially the new 007 themed 'Spectre' event and would highly recommend HiddenCity treasure hunts for families, friends and corporate events.

The Hidden City Game was given to us as a Christmas present from our son and it was great fun. The clues were pitched at a good level and we discovered parts of London we’d never seen before. There were plenty of places to eat and drink along the way and some great pubs. We got stuck a couple of times, but hints were sent quickly and we soon caught up again. We would thoroughly recommend Moriarty’s Game and hope to complete the other two games at another time.

In short, this is great fun and I recommend it, just dont pay for everyone in your group as it is a rip off.

This should have got a much better rating and would have got 5 stars if it weren't such a rip off. The game itself it fantastic, you're taken off the beaten track in London, down side streets which are unique, beautiful, full of character and (best of all - IMO) devoid of people. You get to see parts of London you've likely never seen before and some really interesting sights, many of which you probably would never have noticed had you not been looking for it. In short the game is fun and interesting and though the puzzles may not be the hardest (thank god) the sense of achievement you get when you figure them out is exhilarating. However (and this is a pretty big however) at £25 per person it is extortionate for what you get. What is most annoying is that because there is no guide or set location, as such, there is noone to check how many are in your group. You only receive one booklet and pen per group, the drinks and food are extra so they don't care how many you are paying for and at the end, though I hadn't really expected a surprise, you "win" a bar of chocolate for each team member. Had I been fully aware of the structure of the game I would have paid for one person who could then forward on the messages to other members of the group. It would make no difference to how the game is played (you can't select individual options anyway unless pre split into teams) and would save you between £25 to £125 which you could then spend on drinks and food.

Very expensive if you have paid for more than 2 players. For example, £150 for a team of 6, and all you get for completing the challenge is a silly token bar of chocolate. Also, the game options that are meant to let you move on during the organised breaks did not work. We feel this is intentional, as it then makes you feel obliged to purchase refreshments in the establishment you are forced to wait in. This was really annoying as we were on a tight schedule of our own, and yet we're forced to sit around for 75 minutes wasting time, all the time getting sarcastic comments back from our 'End break' and 'Ready' requests.
The game itself was good, clever and well thought out, but spoilt by the cost and misleading options that do not work for obvious commercial reasons. We won't be playing again.

Hi ResRepMan, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We aim to create exceptional experiences for everyone. I'd really appreciate it if you could pop us a message us at www.inthehiddencity.com/contact-us and we'll see if we can investigate the game you played. We are not intentionally making breaks last; it was most likely just a technical issue. We look forward to getting to the bottom of this for you. Yours, Julia

Someone booked this for a team building event at work so we all went along trying to be positive infront of our colleagues. What followed was a series of tedious games and ridiculous clues. Each team wondering around Marylebone aimlessly all the while being trolled by bots over WhatsApp. One by one each team member lost interest until I eventually called time on the farce after 45 minutes much to everyone's relief. So we ended up in a Pub which wae the exact scenario we were trying to avoid by booking a team building activity.

I would not recommend this experience at all unless it is as some form of punishment. If you want to get trolled by bots ChatGPT is a much better experience. If you are looking for a team building activity go to Bounce or Bar Kick or Flight Club. Hell taking the team to McDonalds for a Big Mac and bringing an Uno deck would be more fun than this.

Avoid.

This is a really fun way to discover more of London. It's a challenging well thought out game with interesting props and interventions. It takes you on a lovely tour in a beautiful area along alleys streets and green spaces. The refreshment stops are well thought out and well spaced out regarding time. I would thoroughly recommend one of the Hidden city games which is ideal for a group of friends to play together or against each other! I've done two of the three and will definitely do the third!!

I love how you can just travel around central London, especially it requires to look carefully meaning you can take your time and even look at buildings and places you would usually not pay attention to. For me, the clues were perfect. They weren't too easy and too hard. It was really fun going into places and felt really realistic. Just recommended to a friend. Its perfect for a family/ friend day out. 100% recommend.

Had a great time playing Moriarty's Game. My fiancée and I spent about 2.5 hours playing which included a couple of breaks at the pub. Most of the game is phone based but there are lots of interactive bits which make for a really immersive experience.

I think the best thing I can say is that the time went so quickly and that we clocked so many steps without even noticing.

100% recommend and looking forward to trying the next one!

My girlfriend got me this for my birthday and it was fantastic. Great way to spend an afternoon in London. The puzzles were really clever and great fun. They were challenging enough to get us thinking and encourage out of the box thinking without being too hard that we were stuck all of the time. The regular pub stops, accompanied by physical puzzles, were a massive hit. Strikes a great mix between virtual messages and physical challenges and it took us just under 3 hours. I would have been content paying more money for such a great time - it is great value for money and I would certainly recommend for anyone with a keen interest in Sherlock and problem solving!!
