    Absolutely brilliant
Wow this was brilliant! The whole process, from booking, to meeting up and the whole tour was excellent. Tom is so knowledgeable and took us to places you wouldn't ever seen or know about. If you are considering a walking tour, choose one of these!

    Fascinating history
My third tour with Tom and another fantastic experience. I learnt so much about an area of London I have never explored. Tom made the tour informative, interesting and entertaining. His historical knowledge is amazing. It was a thoroughly enjoyable outing on a very cold day. Highly recommended.

    Fascinating, entertaining tour.
The tour was excellent. Tom was very well informed and shared the information in a highly engaging way. He was happy to answer questions and had obviously carried out very in depth research. His stories of London were fascinating.

A great way to spend two hours in London!
Tom is a very knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. I am a Londoner born and bred and pretty much everything was new to me! A really enjoyable couple of hours, despite the very chilly day! Highly recommend.

Perfect Tour to Step Back in Time
This is the second of Tom's tours we have been on as we enjoyed the previous one so much. This tour was interesting and engaging and we learnt so much. Tom clearly knows his stuff but also doesn't overwhelm you with information, it's the perfect balance. It's also great to support an independent guide who does all his own research. Whether you live in London (like we do) or you are visiting, we would highly recommend. There is so much history hiding in London and it's such a unique activity and way to see London.

An amazing walking tour; Tom was brilliant!
Tom was brilliant! My partner and I joined a small walking tour for 2 hours and it was amazing. He knows so much about London and was open to questions throughout; and we learned a great deal about the area. He took us down some of the backstreets you wouldn’t normally come across, pointing out fascinating facts and stories from centuries ago. We’ve been telling friends about this tour ever since. Tom is engaging and knowledgeable and we would definitely recommend and may even do another one of his tours as we live in London!

    London's Squalor and Splendour
A wonderful tour full of interesting facts and sights to see. Tom knows how to put together a really excellent walk and throws in lots of anecdotal tales amongst the historical details. He is also great at bringing Dickens to life!

    A fantastic guided walking tour
Happened upon a tour that included St. Bartholomew the Great in Smithfield, London, and joined in for a reduced fee. A fantastic, interesting, and informative tour. Tom Currie knows his history and describes everything with life in an extremely entertaining manner. This tour was fantastic and I only wish I had had time to take more of Tom Currie’s tours.

This was a fascinating and entertaining "walk with a talk" through The City. The guide is self-employed and his passion for the subject shows through in the extensive knowledge and attention to detail of the content and the enthusiasm with which he presents his talk. The style is "entertaining" rather than "academic" but that is not to devalue in any way the historical content. I worked in and walked around The City for almost 40 years and have always been interested in it's history, but I saw details and learned facts which had passed me by previously. One comment is that the walking pace between the stopping points for each set piece talk is quite quick; it's a purposeful walk not a stroll. That was fine for us but anyone who has walking difficulties might take note. Also it is a good deal of walking and standing for more than an hour and 45 mins. Overall excellent and we will most likely book another tour in the future.

We were excited to learn about culture and history of London from the times of Romans building and abandoning the city. Tom took us back 2000 years ago, touched on Tudors times, showed sites which sadly remind about the big fire of 1666 and WWII, and we ended up in the oldest pub. We were inspired and charmed to learn because some of the information was brand new. We came from Manhattan and were on tight schedule, therefore, preferred a private tour. Tom was accommodating with time and date because we were visiting around New Year. The tour was interesting, educational, and fun.

This tour gave a fascinating insight in to the history of The City of London. Tom is incredibly knowledgeable on not only the 'local' history but also how that relates to both national and International history. The tour is conducted at a good pace with Tom passing on his knowledge clearly and often with amusing anecdotes.
Thoroughly recommend booking on one (or more!) of Tom's guided tours!

This is an excellent tour. We live in London but did not know all this amazing history and the guide had lots of fun facts - extremely knowledgeable and obviously both does the research and loves history. Would recommend for a history of the City of London - you see things you don’t know existed.

An excellent tour full of very interesting facts and information. Tom knows so much about the city of London and took us to places that we were totally unaware of and pointed out things that I would normally just walk past without noticing. He is full of knowledge and has a good sense of humour.

Excellent tour which I can definitely recommend. I saw many things today which I would have never noticed before and learnt many interesting facts. There was also a lot of humour in Tom's delivery which made it very interesting. I will definitely do another one.

I had initially chased after Tom in the streets when he was doing another tour as I had stopped to look at something and heard how engaging he was and how all of his tour were captivated. I got a business card and booked for the Blitz tour. From the start we learnt so much and we are frequent visitors to London but it really opens your eyes to either hidden places or events that took place that you knew nothing about. Tom was so well informed, interesting and held us all in his hands. Probably the best walking tour I have been on. Highly recommend.

Our group of four really enjoyed the Roman Ruins to Blitz tour. Even though we were familiar with the city, Tom’s tour opened our eyes to unique history of the area and we discovered new places we hadn’t known about. Tom is an excellent guide, and the small group format was wonderful. Very enjoyable.

This is our third tour with Tom, and as usual he never disappoints. His depth of knowledge, passion for what he does and interaction with his customers is absolutely top notch. Without any shadow of doubt, the best tour guide we have ever used, and we have been on many, and we will return. Thanks again Tom, see you on our next visit.
