Suriya’s food and wine expertise, along with her itinerary of unique stops, completely changed my understanding of Notting Hill. Each place not only had delicious samples for us, but also represented an important chapter in the history of the west London neighborhood. Cottons offered flavorful Caribbean fare while Suriya walked us through a tasting of the fantastic wine she had chosen to pair with it and spoke of the West Indian population’s impact on Notting Hill. By the time we ended the tour with a Portuguese treat on Golborne Road, I had tasted so much delicious food and wine and learned so much more than I thought possible on a Sunday afternoon. We covered a lot of ground and yet the amount of walking was perfectly balanced with some sit-down stops, giving us a wide sampling of Notting Hill’s historic and contemporary vibe. My palette was challenged to try new flavors, too; the ingenious pairing of parsnip croquettes with manzanilla is not one I’ll soon forget. We even learned about the neighborhood’s musical heritage, including Bob Marley, its representation in film, and learned of its values through its street art and public spaces. All told, it was a truly comprehensive and engaging experience. I recommend it highly.

Looking for something a little different to do whilst in London we settled on the FEAST Food & Wine Tour in Notting Hill. We are so pleased that we did! We met our host, Suriya, by Notting Hill Gate tube and strolled to an unassuming restaurant to sample Caribbean fare accompanied by a well paired wine. It soon became apparent that Suriya has an infectious personality, a knowledge of Notting Hill and its history and a passion for wine. We were going to enjoy ourselves! We soon joined the throng of tourists heading towards Portobello Road but were taken off the beaten track to discover little gems and facts that make these sort of tours. A visit to a pub for a taste discovery, a visit to a distillery for wine and tapas (not gin), a visit to a family run restaurant and all the while wandering the streets of Notting Hill learning about the history and culture of the area. Suriya was enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable. A great combination for a great walking tour and highly recommended.

Suriya was absolutely amazing, one of my top wine experiences ever. She makes wine approachable and enjoyable for all. We loved learning how wine interacts with food, and how flavors change with different dishes. All this combined w/ the history of Notting Hill, we had such a fantastic time. A must-do in London!

We have taken many food tours through Europe but this was by far the most interesting and fun. We tasted some lovely food from around the world paired with matching wines. It was good to know why some wines match certain foods- in such an interactive way. Our lovely guide (sorry not sure of the name spelling) was energetic, knowledgeable and full of laughs and fun- plus she made sure everyone felt included! We will definitely be trying the taste test game at our next dinner party! Notting Hill is also one of the most culturally significant places to visit while in London- so all in all it was a unique tour- different from others food tours we have taken.
Also very refreshing to have such a variety of age groups on the tour- made it all the more enjoyable. Plus we made some good friends- which we will definitely be keeping in touch with! Thanks FEAST for a marvellous day.

This was my first time in London! My friends planned to see a show that i had no interested in seeing. So i chose to do a food and wine tour in Notting Hill. I figured I could explore the area and try wines and great food. The weather forecast was not in our favor. However, I was well prepared with an umbrella and rain boots. There were four stops on the tour - our host really planned out the wine selections with the food paring and worked with the local eateries. We were a group was a group of 4, one of the tourist was running behind - our host communicated with that person, had that individual meet the rest of the group at the first stop. The host of the tour was very knowledgeable on wine and paring of wine. As we made our way through Notting Hill the host went over some of the history of the area and also showed us famous locations that were featured in well known movies. I highly recommend this tour!

Suriya is an extraordinary guide with a lot of knowledge about wine and the area. I would recommend this activity to everyone, even if you are not a foodie or wine person it is a lovely day out!

We have lived in London for 37 years and there are still areas that we haven't explored, so we were really excited to find this gem in West London. We spent an afternoon filling our bellies with a variety of foods from around the world, with each plate perfectly paired with a gorgeous wine. I have to admit I hadn't tried most of what was on offer before, so I really loved trying the different flavours and combinations. I'll definitely be popping into the restaurants and bars that we visited again, with Gintonica being top of my list - their parsnip croquettes and Manzanilla wine were out of this world! The tour had a fantastic energy carried through by Suriya's passion for food and wine, and her love of Portobello Road and the surrounding area. I've since been regaling friends with the snippets of information that I picked up during our walk around Notting Hill...from learning the origins of Notting Hill Carnival to seeing the place where Bob Marley recorded his music. With every wine that I've sampled since the tour, I find myself swirling the glass, taking a deep inhale and following the rest of Suriya's brilliant tips to enjoy every sip!

This tour is for both wine aficionados and wine dabblers. Suriya explained what food pairs well with which wines and why - it really is a science! The food was generous and highly varied - we traveled gastronomically from the Caribbean to the Turkish peninsula to the Portuguese and Spanish coasts. We left with great photos of a highly picturesque neighborhood, wine knowledge, a perfect wine buzz, and bellies full of so much good food. I look forward to doing this tour again with my colleagues in the spring.

We had a very short time in London and were unsure of what to book. SO GLAD we chose this tour. This is the only one of its kind in London (so random!) and took the place of a nice, boozy lunch- while visiting famous Notting Hill. The food is incredible (watch for the Spanish croquettes!) and so much wine...! And great wine at that! I nearly had to much...if that's possible... My boyfriend was happily satisfied though. Our host, Suriya was so sweet and knowledgeable. We are not big on the wine knowledge but were made to feel comfortable asking even the silliest of questions. Plus we learnt so many fun and cool facts about the area. Maybe the most unique tour we have ever done! Great food, lots of lovely wines to try ... and I even feel like a bit of a wine pro now. A definite must-do in London. Thanks FEAST!
