    Punk history and London culture.
Absolutely loved this. Aidan is so knowledgeable and charismatic. If you’re a Pistols fan this tour is a must but you get so much more. Aidan combines the history of UK punk with local anecdotes and uses his personal experiences to make this tour fascinating and enjoyable. Two and a half hours went over far too quickly. I highly recommend this tour.

    Aidan and London Punk tour
I booked this for my partners 60th person with our family. He normally hates arranged tours but read previous reviews and has loved punk since very young. He has good knowledge of punk bands history but even he said learnt so much. Aidan was really funny and had huge amount of knowledge including personal stories. It was not only fascinating but Aidan bought it all to life. He was really easy to listen to and loved the history of the places in London where it all happened. We would all definitely go on any tour he does. He’s so passionate about punk and the hours passed so quickly. Even our sons loved every minute and their knowledge of punk very limited. Don’t miss it if go London and are fans of Pistols, the Clash, the Damned as well as all the bands that were around Soho at that time. Thanks Aidan, you’re a legend

The Filth, the Fury and no safety pins
The Original Soho Punk Rock Tour Had a great Sunday morning as I took a step back into 70’s Soho, a tour packed full of stories and tales about the birth of Punk. There’s a lot of cobblers spoken about Mohawks and safety pins, however Aidan was there and gives you the truth, plus plenty of filth and fury. I got to see the original Marquee, Vortex, 100 Club(still standing and you can get a pint for £5!) Denmark St, the Roxy, and Notre Dame Hall, and the ‘Abba’ inspired boozer. Without Sex Pistols you had no punk, without John Lydon you had no Pistols. Plus 🧛🏻‍♂️ Dave Vanian has an emoji. You’re welcome. Punk is a state of mind, it’s not spitting and anger. Peace and love.

    Brilliant tour of Soho…
Aidan has every nook and cranny of Soho etched upon his memory. Erudite, funny and informative, this is history from someone who’s learned, lived, loved (and sometimes hated this iconic place). Yes, punk fans will love this but we are history fans and this punk part of Soho’s history is fascinating.

    Know your rights!
Had a free Saturday on business travel and booked this tour. This is a must try activity for any Clash fan. Aidan was both hilarious and informative. It felt like you were a part of the neighborhood . Will go again with friends next trip.

Great tour - sights and insights about birth of punk
Great tour. Aiden brought to life the birthplace of punk, with great knowledge not only about the music scene but also the local area and context of what was going on at the time. I also loved that Aiden provides suggestions for books for further reading - there's only so much you can fit into a couple of hours (and Aiden covers lots). An excellent way to spend an afternoon in and around Soho.

    Great tour
A cold day which was soon forgotten as Aidan led us through the Soho of yesteryear, I’ve followed and read about the pistols since childhood but still Aidan managed to show us things I never knew about and places I didn’t know the location of. What a great tour of a great culturally rich area, Aidan was great company and we even ended up having a beer with him. Thoroughly recommend this tour whether a novice or you think you know it all you will learn a lot about Soho, not just punk either! Great tour and great company, don’t miss it!!!

The January Blues get totally blow away - Awesome Tour.
An absolutely riveting few hours spent in the company Aidan and his seventies punk rock encyclopedic knowledge. Aidan was there when it was happening and with amazing and hilarious tales of what really happened kept my wife and I totally engrossed. The Roxy, Vortex, Marquee, 100 Club and Denmark Street all get shaken out amongst tales that go way beyond punk and into London’s fantastic musical legacy. A few beers at the end of this brilliant tour with Aidan was the icing on the cake with more tales of punk rock lunacy. Thanks for the education Aidan and hopefully see you for The Clash tour in the summer. An absolute must tour for any decent music fans.

    The Great Punk Tour
If you are a fan of 70s british punk and want to hear cool stories about The Sex Pistols, The Damned, Sham 69 and other punk groups from that era and relieve the atmosphere of bohemian Soho clubs and music scene, this tour is right down your tin pan alley. Aidan is very credible and knowledge guide who WAS actually there and had seen these groups in their prime. Thanks to him I discovered some cool punk club which otherwise I would have missed on this trip. I enjoyed this tour so much and highly recommend it to anyone interested in PUNK & ROCK'n'ROLL.

    great punk rock walking tour
Aidan, was a fantastic guide to the early days of punk in London. Had the perfect attitude and was full of great anecdotes about the early days because he was there and lived the life. Was great to see the actual locations of all the places you've read about in books over the years. Pretty focused on the Sex Pistols and their mark on the scene - I just forgot to ask about some of the other early bands that I like more; The Clash, the Jam, 2-Tone scene. But highly recommend if you like music. cheers Kevin

    London still Calling
If you are a Clash fan, you should definitely participate! Aiden is the best guide. I wasn't confident in listening to English, but Aiden showed us pictures of the tablet and talked to us at that place, so it helped me to understand.

A must for any Clash fan
Have loved the Clash since the first album and rank the time I was lucky enough to see them, in 1980, as by far my favourite ever gig. I have therefore long wanted to take the "Strummerwalk" around the West London haunts of The Clash. It was with anticipation therefore that my daughter and I met with our guide, Aiden, at Ladbroke Grove tube station. We were lucky to be the only attendees and it was very relaxed and chatty throughout. Aiden is a local, very engaging, and extremely knowledgeable about the subject. We were shown various pubs, squats, iconic photo locations, augmented by local colour and stories. Majoring on The Clash, we got a lot of additional information about the 101ers and various peripheral characters. It was also fascinating to hear how the area had changed over the years. All in all a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable walk, and one that I would recommend for any Clash fan

Aidan is a fantastic tour guide! He's just so knowledgeable. I booked the Bowie tour for a group of friends, having previously enjoyed his gangster tour. It was full of interesting facts, not just about Bowie but about Soho and it's music scene, and it was a really great way for us to see the streets of Soho.
He's a great guy too. We persuaded him to come for a drink afterwards, which turned into several, because we enjoyed his company so much!
Would definitely recommend Aidan us a tour guide. I have no doubt every tour is as interesting as the two I've already tried. I think the pink one will be next :)

The Soho Bowie Tour is a must for all Bowie fans. There is nothing Aidan doesn’t know about David Bowie and the yesteryear of old world Soho. Aidan takes you on a pre Ziggy journey of David Jones from Tin Pan Ally, Bowies old Soho hangouts and finishing at the legendary scene of the Ziggy Stardust album cover location. There are fun musical facts along the way . Highly recommend!

Great couple of hours spent with Aidan on the Bowie tour. If you like David Bowie, don't miss this tour, you will love Aidan's irreverent style, knowledge and humour. The tour takes you from Denmark Street through Soho and ends on the street where the picture of Ziggy Stardust album cover was taken. You get a great insight into the early creative mind of Bowie.

After hearing Aiden on his Portobello Radio show, I decided to take some friends on the "Bowie's Soho" walk. It was a wise decision as we were all enthralled with Aidens knowledge and wit, what a character ! Already looking into planning another of the walks.

Once again Aidan brings the era and the man himself to life in a wonderfully insightful and anecdotal way. It’s about so much more than just Bowie, Do it!

A super fun tour! It was a chilly Saturday, but the fun facts and incredible attitude from the guide kept us warm! I have always enjoyed visiting places of the greats as it helps to put their lives in perspective and our tour guide really created a great insight of how 'it would have been'. Music is more than just sound, and the context really matters and this tour showed that about Bowie and his decades.
