Liquid History Pub Walk at Christmas
Recently visited Europe (Rome, Paris and London) over Christmas with my family of five. While staying in London on December 27th, we did a Pub Walk with "Mark" from Liquid History. All of the planning and booking was done through Tripadvisor. It turned out to be the best tour we took the entire trip. It began around 2pm and ended around 530pm in the last pub we visited. Having been on ghost walks and other types of walking tours before, Mark was truly the best guide we've ever had. Not only did he take us to four unique and historic London Pubs, but he also provided interesting historical information before we entered each one. He also explained the different types of beers we could expect in each pub and provided recommendations. He even provided suggestions about Gin Martinis at one particular pub known for their selection of Gins. This was appriciated by my wife who does not like beer. It was a small group of about 12 of us on the tour. We had plenty of time in each pub to enjoy a pint and socialize with other travelers on the tour. Mark was super friendly and spent time visiting with each of us while in the pubs. After the tour, we enjoyed a great dinner at fantastic Indian Restaurant called "Punjab," but that's for a different review. We all truly enjoyed the Pub Walk and Mark did a great job! Highly recommended!!

    A Magic Tour
This tour is a must for any Queen fan while visiting London. Grant was a very knowledgeable tour guide and clearly a big fan of Queen. You get to see places the band studied, early gigs, places they use to party and pubs they visited over the years and of course Garden Lodge. As a big Queen fan myself I really enjoyed this tour!

    Wonderful
It was wonderful, Grant is a very nice man and knows a lot about Queen/Freddie. It's nice it's a walking tour, you see a lot! My friend Anita and I loved it. We were alone with Grant, so we had a "private" tour😁

In de sporen van Freddie Mercury
It was great, any Queen fan should do this,. Discover where Freddie lived first with Mary, then with Jim, Royal Albert Hall, Garden Lodge, café where they used to go, Biba shop, etcetera....

    Not very special
It was an interesting tour. We did think that the pace, especially with the high temperatures that day, was too high. Don't expect much real news. And yes, Garden Lodge is a fortress, with angry neighbors.

    Amazing Rock Stars Tour
Our friends lost the tour because they couldn't find the meeting point and Grant very kindly refunded us the money. Always trying to make us have a great time, my 16-year-old son was fascinated. Thank you Grant!

    Fabulous and informative walking tour
This was a fabulous tour! Grant has an extensive knowledge of Queen and is an enthusiastic tour guide. This tour was a fantastic way to learn more about Freddie Mercury and Queen (our daughter is a super-fan, but Grant was even able to teach her a few new facts), but it is also a fantastic way to get a nice walking introduction to Kensington. Saw a lot of sights. Would highly recommend to anyone - although would note that it is a lot of walking, so requires a decent fitness level. Thanks so much, Grant!

    This Queen Fan Highly Recommends!!
I am a life long Queen fan who has visited London many times. Having said that, aside from the time in 1980 at the age of eighteen when I marched up to the door of the Queen fan club and knocked, I had never thought to look into a "Queen Tour" in London. I have done other Queen related things while visiting but, if there were tours of any kind, I had never heard of them. All this changed with my latest visit. It has been roughly ten years since my last trip to London and, while I was planning this one, Brian May announced his photography exhibit at Proud Galleries. I immediately purchased tickets and then realized I could look to see if there was anything else Queen related I might do while there. I searched for tours and found this one. I can easily say it was the best thing I did while there. Grant is a Queen fan and a wonderful guide. I had neglected to mention my friend was in a wheelchair and he didn't bat an eye. Simply said it would be easy enough to work around it and then made sure we were still able to see everything. His knowledge of Queen, and music in general, is extensive. He came equipped with stories, as well as photos to help illustrate many of those stories, and also help us imagine how things that are no longer there, would have looked back in the day. He took his time and never rushed us as we stopped to take pictures or ask questions. The reviews are great for a reason. If you are a Queen fan, this is a tour worth taking. My apologies, Grant, for taking so long to post this. Thank you very much for a memorable afternoon!

    Interesting and informative
Grant was fantastic and showed us loads of places that we’d never have noticed without his knowledge. He kept us all in good spirits despite the April showers and took some great photos for us.

Grant ! THE guide to follow !
That was a great experience with Grant. On time we started from south kensington station and the tour was with Grant alone and my husband. The weather was ok but it did not matter as not only we went to the key places where Queen started it all but Grant also commented on the different sites we were passing along the way. Very very interesting and we did not see the time flying. A great tour ! plus I had written to Grant that I discovered on youtube and he wrote me back very nicely to suggest a date. I love London and I love Grant ! Hope we can do another tour next time. Have a great year Grant ! Bonjour de France. Françoise and Eric

This was a great walking tour! We saw parts of London that we wouldn’t have on our own. Our guide was so knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. Happily took our picture. We enjoyed all the sites and Beatles info. Our tour was longer than 2 1/2 hours but it was so interesting, we didn’t mind!

Grant was a very good host. We got a sense of where the Beatles stayed, hung out, recorded, and the like. He also threw in other trivia from musical icons of the day. Overall, a good experience. Make sure you are OK walking a lot. If you are, you should enjoy a good day!

When I found out I was going to London, the first thing I knew I wanted to do was go see Abbey road. I figured I might as well go all in and look for a Beatles tour. This was the highest rated tour, and I can see why. Not only was the tour guide extremely kind, but he was also extremely knowledgeable. The tour lasted several hours, which I did not mind. The group of people were also great, it's amazing meeting people from all over the world who are connected by this similar interest.

I dragged along my friend who knows nothing about the Beatles, and even she said it was an amazing tour. If I ever go back to London, I will definitely go on one of his other tours!! Lots of walking so definitely wear sneakers, but also bring a camera because you will be taking loads of pictures!!

There was far too much walking and not enough touring. Much of the 2 1/2 hours were spent just following the tour guide around as he led us through very busy crowded streets, which included a subway ride.
While I expected there was going to be a fair amount of walking- it is a walking tour after all, it was just too much. I am a physically active person and used to daily walks, so I’m very capable. However, six of ten participants dropped out of the tour, two of which did have to be elsewhere, but the others were just done with all the walking and probably lack of touring.
The tour guide could have been more engaging and provided more information. He was a nice, friendly gentleman, but just didn’t seem to be that invested in the tour.
We did enjoy the stop at Abbey Road and the tour guide made sure we all had photos taken if we wanted, which was tricky with the crowd and traffic.
It wasn’t a complete waste, but given the opportunity to do it again, I would not choose this tour.

Really sorry you did not enjoy the tour 100% Just to clarify. Two of the people left the tour early because they had tickets for the London Eye. (You may have seen me give them directions?) Two others left early as the senior gentleman had a broken toe. With my tours there is a lot of walking. I aim to show as much Beatles London history as possible as I figure for many clients this may be a once in a lifetime visit to London.

This tour was excellent. The guide, Grant, is very knowledgeable and has lots of anecdotes to relate. He showed photos also to highlight his commentary. We thought it was 1 1/2 hours but we walked with him for 3 hours.

Grant gave such a great tour filled with history regarding the Beatles and London. We went to some sights that I didn't even think about and he did a great job explaining things. He was so nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend Grant's tour to anyone because even if you're not a huge Beatles fan, it's still a great way to see more of London. Thanks, Grant!
