  • The tour will last between 2.5 - 3 hours depending on the walking pace of the group and the number of questions asked.
  • The tour will cover about 2 - 3 miles in total.
  • The tour will go ahead come rain or shine so please don't be put off by the weather. Do wear comfortable shoes and clothing. If needs be, bring waterproofs and an umbrella!
  • The tour is an outside walking tour but does include one internal stop at one of Mayfair's most unique shops.

A note from Private Walking Tour of Mayfair, London's famous aristocratic village
I am guiding family units of up to 5 only and will maintain social distancing during the tour. I'll wash my hands beforehand & bring hand sanitizer for my and my customers' use. I suggest visitors bring paper towels to dry hands after a toilet stop. I am double vaccinated. Sadly, no hand shakes.

Fantastic tour

Sandy is an excellent guide. My husband & our boys thoroughly enjoyed their tour of Mayfair. They haven't stopped talking about the tour since! Sandy personalised the tour to suit our boys - 13 & 9. A highlight for them were the Bentley & Ferrari car garages on Berkley Square. Sandy arranged for them to actually go inside. My husband found some of the quirky facts about the buildings fascinating. We will definitely book up another tour very soon.

I do love personalising a tour and this was special because of the fact that two of Matthew's ancestors had worked in Mayfair in days gone by. A little research found one had worked in Charles Street and the other in Carrington Street, both of which I included in the tour with a bit of the relevant history thrown in! And yes, the boys loved the car showrooms and left planning how to find £250k to buy a Ferrari! Great fun! Do book the St James' tour when you get the chance - if we choose a day when the Changing of the Guard is scheduled, I think the boys will love it. Sandy is absolutely first class! We did a team tour and even though we are Mayfair based we have lots to learn and that we did on this tour. Insightful, fun and engaging, Sandy really does do a great job. Highly recommended.
