I went with my Mom and Dad August 22, 2017 - Great Trip - Colin was a great guide!
Nov 2020
I went with my mom and dad August 22, 2017. We couldn't find the bus since our Uber dropped us off a 1/4 from the destination (construction) and I called Colin to help us find the bus after my mom couldn't hear with all the surrounding noise. After looking to the right I could see red buses leaving so I was worried and saw the London eye to my right.

He waited and guided us to a little black bus which was the English bus at the time. We were a few minutes late but we made it before we set out on our journey. I remember telling Colin we just got into London to visit my bro and I am ready to grab the bull by the horns and experience the trip! I fell asleep a few minutes later lol.

All I remember is a nice young Singapore couple we talked to for a little bit on the bus while driving before I slept. Colin was super knowledgable about the history of the UK and very personable! It was a great trip and definitely give Colin a huge raise!

Also British culture is a little different from American culture from the conversations we had on the bus so I would tell Colin you can achieve anything you set your mind to, it takes action, it takes perseverance, it takes facing your fears and most likely getting out of your comfort zone but nothing worth having comes easy in life.

Johny was the star of our tour!
Forget about the big bus tours that you can book for your trip! The English Bus has something extra that will make the day unforgetable. They've got charismatic, energetic, charming and extremly knowledgeable tourguides that tells you everything you need to know about Stonehenge and more! The experience can't be described, you have to try it for yourself!

Best day in the UK on our vacation !
Sep 2021
This is the second time we used The English Bus company. We had as our guides Chris and Andy. You could not of asked for a more professional team. They use the smaller 15 passenger bus for their tours. DON'T be herded on other huge busses. Their busses can go where others can't, and big busses don't give the kind of personal experience like we received.
We took the Stonehenge, Bath, and "Secret Place" tour. Book your tour with this company - you can't go wrong !!
PS - I want to upload some photos, but my file sizes were too big. I didn't have to to resize them.

Thank you so much for your review. It was an absolute delight to spend the day with you all. So great that we are able to operate tours again after a very long shutdown. Small groups are what we are all about. We want our guests to have a personalised experience they will remember for a very long time. If you are only going to see the sights once - we want that to be in the best way possible. All the best and hopefully see you all again one day! Chris

Great MiniBus Tour!
Oct 2019 • Family
We really enjoyed our all day (12 hour) tour with Andrew. He is an amazing guide; knowledgeable about the history of our tour stops and so many other topics which came up during the drives. He even helped clear up some misunderstandings we “Yanks” had about Brexit which was being hotly discussed by locals during our trip. Andrew is a rich source of information and humor and he got everyone on the coach talking, even the surly teenagers 😝 The tour is also well-timed. We never felt particularly rushed and were given good instruction on how long each stop would be and got recommendations of activities and eateries while in Bath. The tour ends at Stonehenge which is great because there aren’t as many visitors or school groups later in the day. You could really get a sense of the desolation and solemnity of the place. We would recommend this tour for families with older kids (10+) because there are long stretches of driving which may bore little ones. The Cotswolds portion was also a lovely stop. It’s so picturesque and quaint. You aren’t there long but do have enough time to pop into a shop and take plenty of photos of the beautiful area.

Hello Folks, Absolutely wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your tour to Stonehenge & Bath with Andrew so much. Andrew is an absolute font of knowledge and a wonderful entertainer too. Great to hear the kids enjoyed it too - we do get a lot of families joining us on tours, and to hear that teenagers enjoyed themselves could be the highest praise we'd ever get! Thank you so much for choosing to travel with us - we'd love to meet you again one day and take you on one of our other tours. Many thanks, Chris The English Bus

Outstanding Tour!
Oct 2019
This was an outstanding tour by a great company. Even though there were traffic issues in London due to protest in the city, Johnathan was great with humor getting us to the tour with guide Andrew. Andrew did a great job catching up the time as well as a fantastic job on the tour. We had rain all day, constantly, but Andrew kept us all in great spirits the whole day. Even at the end, he was considerate to all and dropped us all off at a tube location to get back to our hotels, which was not required of him. This was greatly appreciated! If you want a great small group tour with outstanding guides, this is for you!

Hello! Thank you very much indeed for reviewing your experience with us - we loved hearing about how much you enjoyed your tour. Yes those protests gave us a traffic related headache, but with some teamwork between guides we mad the best of it - so great to hear it was appreciated - thank you! Brilliant to hear you enjoyed the company of both Johny and Andrew so much, and that the rain didn't dampen your spirits. Thank you so much for your enthusiastic words, hopefully we can welcome you back on another tour one day. Best wishes, Chris The English Bus

The best!
Sep 2019
This tour was exactly what we were looking for. Small company, excellent, comfortable vehicle, huge windows to watch the countryside go by, and seemingly one-on-one service. Andy was a hoot, super knowledgeable and entertaining. Don't go with the big tour megabus if you can help it. The English Bus was an amazing experience. The Cotswold village we went to doesn't allow big buses, so we had an intimate walk through town with only a few other cars. Had the best sandwich of my life at The White Hart! Bath was so fun to explore and Andy did a walking tour and showed us a way to see things with no fee. Stonehenge is a must see. Even though it was raining, it was still enjoyable. No more than 15 fit on the bus (brand new Mercedes cuby sprinter type). Andy even tried to drop everyone off close by their accommodations or a tube stop. Everything was thoughtfully done. Thanks, English Bus! We had a great time.

The perfect tour!!
Sep 2019 • Couples
We’e traveled to many places before but we had never taken a guided tour, so I was a little bit scared about this one. However, the experience could not be better.
The tour was just perfect!!!
Small group (10 people), different places visited, with the right amount of time in each one and the guide (Johny) was the best.
He provided us many useful tips for each location. Plus, he was really knowledge and revealed a lot of historical details you won’t never learn otherwise.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR to everybody looking for an amazing experience, while getting the most from your time.

Best tour we ever took!
Sep 2019
Wow! What a wonderful tour of Bath, Stone Henge, and a ‘secret’ location! The bus (a van actually) seated 15 people and was brand new and very comfortable. Water was provided. Colin, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all the sites we were passing and kept up a steady stream of humor and interesting stories along the way. We had enough time to visit each place and never felt rushed. This was the very BEST tour we ever went on!

A most enjoyable trip to England
Aug 2019
On an August trip to England my wife and I had the very good fortune to go on tour with The English Bus. What a fantastic experience. One of their biggest advantages is the small group arrangement, using 16 passenger buses that allowed for a more one-on-one experience with our wonderful tour guide. Lilly was highly knowledgeable and super enthusiastic about explaining the sites in London and southeast England. This also allowed us to get off the main roads of southern England and explore the highly picturesque countryside and small towns. The larger tour buses just cannot make it through the narrow lanes in the smaller towns. We experienced a delightful tour of Bath, the Cotswolds and Stonehenge, but our guide also gave us a great tour of some of the neighborhoods in London. Chelsea especially stood out. As a suggestion, you might want to schedule a tour early in your stay in London. This will give you some great ideas on places to visit in the city. The trip to the countryside was not too long. The guide was prompt in meeting us the morning and made every effort to drop us near our hotel. The time went by fast with frequent stops. While you’ll be riding the bus on the tour, you will need walking shoes as Lilly gave us plenty of time to explore the sites. I highly recommend reserving a tour with The English Bus, with some caution if you’re on the tallish side. Some of the seats can be a bit cramped.

Hi Christopher, Thanks for the wonderful feedback about your experience on tour with us and tour guide Lilly - great to hear you really enjoyed it. We enjoyed hearing that you also enjoyed the drive out of London - this is something that we don't necessarily advertise, but we see lots of interesting parts of London on our route out and into the city - and there is much to show you on route. As for those who are lucky enough to be tall - we have had the floorplan of our vehicles stretch especially for our usage of them, this means that there are some seats with better legroom than others - it is a good idea to let us know beforehand if you would like one of those seats, or tell the guide on the day and they will move people around to make it happen. Our guest's comfort and safety is very important to us. Thanks again for choosing to travel with us - we hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip to England. Many thanks, Chris The English Bus
