    Great tour & tour guide!
I did this tour with my mom. Cara was our tour guide and she was awesome!! Such a knowledgeable and fun person to spend the day with! She really helped us make the most out of our time in Stonehenge, Bath & the secret place (which was very cool & unexpected). Cara also gave us a ton of really interesting info about London as we were driving in and out of the city and had so many good recommendations for food and things to do for the rest of our trip. I took all of her food recommendations and they were great!! Great thing to do if you're in London & want to spend a day outside the city. 11/10 would recommend!

    More personal experience. Better ride.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was sold out on Trip Advisor and I was disappointed so I checked the English Bus website and found availability! I am glad I did. The smaller bus was a nice ride. We were able to maneuver on roads a larger bus could not. The story telling was excellent. The secret place was nice. Plenty of time at all three stops. Highly recommend.

    Book Them Now!
Best tour I've had! Book this now. Lilly was an absolutely amazing historian, comedian, and driver. If I ever return to London, I'll book another trip with them in a heartbeat.

    WONDERFUL tour!
This was the BEST tour! We loved our tour guide/drive, Nora, who had so much wonderful information to share on our journey. Would have liked a little more time in Bath as it was rushed trying to get lunch and see the town. But overall we absolutely loved this tour. Stonehenge was magical, Bath's architecture was cool, and the Secret Place was absolutely perfect for us. Exactly what we wanted! We are a family - two kids 12 and 13 loved it as did us parents and a grandmother. Well done, thank you!

Got Lucky with a Gorgeous Day
We probably had the most beautiful day anybody could have at Stonehenge. I enjoyed being on this small group tour (12 people) that started and ended at convenient times. Cara was very knowledgeable about the places that we went to and gave us great tips on where to go and what to do in the cities that we visited. I felt very safe during the entire duration of the tour. I’m looking forward to come back to London and do more trips with tours with this company.

Perfect day out with Chris' English Bus
Went to Stonehenge for the third time, joining our friends for their first visit to England. What a wonderful way to see not only Stonehenge, but also beautiful city of Bath and a secret place. Buses are very comfortable and the guides each time we went....fantastic & knowledgeable! Our guides in the past were Lilly, Jonny, and latest was Andy. My wife & I highly recommend this fantastic day out visiting the countryside. Also they drop you off at the correct tube station or wherever closest to where you are staying.....nice & thoughtful! You won’t regret it!
What a fun day! Cara met us so warmly with a smile on her face and she kept that amazing, happy attitude the whole day. She was always making sure we were comfortable and felt taken care of. She knew so much about London and the places we went to. We had an awesome day of weather. It only rained while we were driving. I loved being in a small group instead of a whole bus load. It was easy to get around and we never waited on anyone. We had plenty of time to visit both Stonehenge and Bath. The secret place was so fun and the perfect way to end the day!!!! Thanks for an experience my daughter (17 years old) and I will never forget.

A highlight of our trip to England!
Our tour guide, Lilly, was fantastic! Not only was she an excellent guide, she was a talented driver too. Lilly is witty, knowledgeable about geography and history and kept us all entertained during our full day together. We learned so much about Stonehenge, Bath and the Secret Place we visited. The English Bus itself was quite a comfortable ride with a great view. I would highly recommend taking a tour, especially with Lilly. It was the highlight of our trip!

Best Day I had in London.
The day started out a little gloomy but ended up being the best day ever. Lucy was our tour guide. She was absolutely the best !!! So knowledgeable and friendly. We lucked out that day with the weather changing to better conditions but that’s England so unpredictable. We had a small group of just 4 which made it more personal and calming. No rushing to see everything and it was quiet on the bus. Lucy answered all our questions and made the tour very personal to our personalities. The “Secret Place” was absolutely the best to end our day with. I would highly recommend this tour to all who want a more relaxed intimate experience visiting England. It’s a must do on my next trip to England.

    Awesome experience!
Just finished this tour and it was awesome. Our guide, Tony is a wealth of knowledge so learned lots and he was personable making the tour enjoyable and entertaining, also skillful driver navigating traffic in London and getting us to places in a safe and timely manner. The mini bus is brand new so fresh and clean and very comfortable. We had a good balance of guided support and free time. Highly recommend & thanks Tony for a wonderful day.

Top-Notch Experience with The English Bus Tours Company!
We took this excursion on our recent trip to London (10/18/2023). Booked on Viator, it was one of the best decisions we made for the trip. We had such a great time! The pickup locations were central and easy to get to. The pick-up and delivery back to London at the end of the day was on time. The transportation was modern, comfortable and immaculate. Pickup was at 8:30 am and return was about 8:30pm so the entire round-trip was about 12 hours. The day turned out to be a bit grey and rainy... but that absolutely did not matter one bit. We were fortunate that day to have Lucy as our guide. Personable, knowledgeable & super-funny --- Lucy was the best! She had the great talent of being able to turn what could have potentially have become a long and tedious drive through the day into one of the most entertaining and enlightening road-trips to see some of the most magnificent sites in Britain. She accomplished all of this while maneuvering our mini-bus through the narrow streets of the British countryside safely and without incident. Bravo Lucy! And Bravo to The English Bus Tours company! You guys are top notch. Great value and highly recommended. Would DEFINITELY book again.

Phenomenal Guide- Absolutely wonderful day trip!
This was hands down one of the best tours I’ve taken! The sights and timing were great and the tour guide Lilly was phenomenal- shared so much nuance about history, culture all with a side of witty humour thrown in! Thankfully, It was unlike the huge buses that just take you and plonk you at each location- Lilly had personalised recommendations and pointed out the sights along the way! What’s also great is since it’s a mini bus, we were able to take scenic routes with panoramic city views in Bath which during sunset was breathtaking! There’s no doubt in my mind that The English Bus company would be the tour I pick for my next trip to London as the journey was as good as the destinations!

Hidden gems away from bustling London, worth the entire day trip!
This tour is a gem outside of busy London for a day! We briefly stopped in Greenwich and Kent villages that have beautiful, charming vibes that I’ll definitely want to spend more time in! Lucy was a fantastic guide and she truly went above and beyond in sharing history, culture, and treats with us, I would highly recommend this tour! We made a short stop to the Cliffs of Dover and the castle that was the highlight for me, and we ended the evening in Canterbury which is quite touristy but fun to see the boat rides on the river. All in all, on of my favorite day tours away from London!

I went with my mom and dad August 22, 2017. We couldn't find the bus since our Uber dropped us off a 1/4 from the destination (construction) and I called Colin to help us find the bus after my mom couldn't hear with all the surrounding noise. After looking to the right I could see red buses leaving so I was worried and saw the London eye to my right.

He waited and guided us to a little black bus which was the English bus at the time. We were a few minutes late but we made it before we set out on our journey. I remember telling Colin we just got into London to visit my bro and I am ready to grab the bull by the horns and experience the trip! I fell asleep a few minutes later lol.

All I remember is a nice young Singapore couple we talked to for a little bit on the bus while driving before I slept. Colin was super knowledgable about the history of the UK and very personable! It was a great trip and definitely give Colin a huge raise!

Also British culture is a little different from American culture from the conversations we had on the bus so I would tell Colin you can achieve anything you set your mind to, it takes action, it takes perseverance, it takes facing your fears and most likely getting out of your comfort zone but nothing worth having comes easy in life.

Best tour we had during our entire two week vacation in the UK. Our guide and driver was Cara and she was fantastic! Great personality and lots of wonderful information about London and all the spots we visited on our tour. We were able to buy tickets in advance for entrance to the Roman Bath museum and we arrived in Bath right on time and were able to take our time in the museum and also participate in Cara's short tour of the center of Bath. Highly recommended!

Jonny (our guide) and this tour were amazing. These tours can be hit or miss, but since it was a small group, I was encouraged. It seems English Bus Tours really does pride themselves on being personal and thorough, which they are!!

Meeting for the tour was easy, Jonny was friendly and welcoming, got to know our names. He is clearly passionate about English history and shared sooo soo much interesting information with us.

I felt we had plenty of time in each site, and it was planned well so that it didn't feel like we were sitting in the car for too long, which I was nervous about. We didn't have to wait in any lines and everything was seamless.

Also – when I booked, I wasn't that interested in seeing Stonehenge, but it was way more interesting than expected.

I think this tour was more than worth the money. DO recommend!

Hello, Thank you so much for your kind words, and we are thrilled to hear that Johny exceeded your expectations! You're right - he is super passionate about sharing his knowledge and showing off our country - all wrapped up in a unique and interesting package. We are very lucky to have him as part of our small team here at The English Bus. Stonehenge is definitely worth a visit - but it definitely helps to have a good guide to bring it to life!! We have planned all of our itineraries to balance the travel time with exploring time, and so we are really pleased that you found the day hit the right notes. Thank you for choosing to travel with us. We would love to welcome you back on your next visit to London - please check our website for all the details of our other offerings and we hope to see you again. All the best, Jen

We went on this tour on the 15th August. Mr Andy Sawyer was our tour guide The best part of the tour was Mr. Sawyer He was knowledgeable , patient with the tourists and had a good sense of humour. He regaled us with stories and historical details about every place he took us. His encyclopaedic knowledge about places, events and the history made the tour memorable. He shepherded us in such a way that we never felt shepherded . He pointed out buildings and places on the way , like the brewery outside London and told us stories about them . We wish him well.

If you're researching and looking for the BEST small group bus tour company, this is it! The consistent string of 5 star reviews is well earned! I've taken many "small bus" tours in several countries and this one was just outstanding. It's a small company that gives you very personalized service from start to finish. We took the Cotswolds Village, Stonehenge and Bath tour with Tony as our guide. Tony did a wonderful job and provided lots of interesting bits of information as we traveled along. He provided us with stress free pace during what is a full day of touring. I especially enjoyed strolling the beautiful little main street in the Cotswolds Village of Castle Combe. I would DEFINITELY recommend The English Bus to everyone!

We had a wonderful day with Tony on the Stonehenge, Bath, Cotswold tour. We had spent a week touring the London sights, and it was nice to get out of the city to see a bit of the English countryside. Tony was very friendly and knowledgeable, providing commentary throughout the driving bit of the trip. When we arrived at each location we were able to go at our own pace and pursue our own interests. The van we rode in was comfortable and the group was relatively small - about 15 tourists. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Tony for a memorable day.

Fantastic from start to finish.
We were picked up promptly at the designated and very convenient pick up location. We were met by our charismatic guide Jonny in a very clean and comfortable van. We chose this tour because it is a small group tour with a very appealing itinerary. Jonny learned all of our names and a little something about each one of his guests. We were able to get off the main roads and see the country sides which we would not have been able to do in one of those nasty big bus tours.
We were entertained, educated and treated like special friends. I would HIGHLY recommend this or any tour the English Bus offers. From booking to end of tour it is a first class operation.
Thank you for a wonderful day.

Six of us across three generations took The English Bus tour to Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswolds. Cara, our driver and guide was great. We were on a small 16 passenger coach that got around on the smaller roads and lanes just fine. Cara was thoughtful, patient and kind. She gave us a lot of information about London as we left the city and then picked up the guided tour as we approached Stonehenge. She was clear about where and when to meet at every stop. I felt like we had adequate time at each of the stops. It felt like the tour just went deeper and deeper into the countryside. The trip from Bath to Castle Combe in the Cotswolds was on the back roads and we had some great views of the excellent English countryside. We were back at our pick up point very close to the promised eleven hours. Nice job Cara!

We had an amazing experience last week on a tour with Johny. We traveled with our kids aged 4 through 10 and he made the experience so much fun for everyone! The small group experience was fantastic. This was my second time visiting Stonehenge, the rest of my family the first, and I wanted an experience so they would get to learn
something as well. Johny was so knowledgeable about literally everything and delivered it in such a way that my kids declared our tour their favorite of the trip. So thankful we found this company and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and use them again to visit other places!

Absolutely the BEST tour we have done!! The small MBZ tour bus was very comfortable, and has dual charging ports at each seat, glass roof and huge windows, and great A/C that is controlled for each seat.
ANDY was our Guide, and he is fabulous. He shared all kinds of interesting facts and information, but didn’t over-talk as some guides do. Andy is also extremely considerate and makes sure all of his group are comfortable, and have their needs met. He also made some slight deviations to the schedule based on our feedback.
I also was afraid that there was too much time at Stonehenge, and not enough time in Bath and Cotswolds, but it ended up the time allotted for each of the the locations was perfect! Each location was much more amazing than we expected, as we aren’t the type to enjoy tours that seem touristy. Lots of great shopping and cafes all over Bath as well!
Highly recommend traveling on one of The English Bus tours with Andy!!
