- 800gaber0 contributionsOutstanding vistas, outstanding team.The villages of the Cotswolds were wonderful to see, but it is quite a drive there and back again. However Brian, our driver, was excellent and the guide Phil was probably one of the best I have had in a while, chatting the entire way, there and back again, explaining the history of England, the area, language, etc. The small bus is the way to go. Our tour guide Phil is a very knowledgeable historian and gave us so much helpful information about London and the Cotswolds on the way to our destinations. We had the perfect amount of time in each stop and the whole tour went very smoothly. Our driver, Bryan was great and navigated the back roads like a pro. It was enjoyable to see scenery that you wouldn’t normally get to see on the main roads. Overall it was a great time and highly recommend.Written October 13, 2024

My husband and I attended the Royal Windsor Afternoon Tour on Monday, October 24th. It was definitely not as advertised.
• The bus went through known traffic areas causing our arrival to be late. Knowing there was construction on route, the tour should have started earlier to ensure guests would have adequate time to experience what was advertised.
• There was no wifi or charging ports on the bus as indicated (we boarded a bus that had both, but then had to get off and re-board on a bus that didn't have either)
• There was no "expert guide to bring the history of this historic town to life". Other than direction to the entry of the castle, we were on our own in the town. The only real tour commentary was on the bus. Most of the information provided by Oliver was about London, not Windsor.
• By the time we got our entry bracelets, the queue to go inside St. George's chapel was closed (they weren't allowing more people to join the queue as ithe chapel closed at 4pm) so we were unable to enter - we literally beelined it directly as this was the main reason we booked the tour.
• There were no disposable masks or hand sanitizer available on the bus (apparently they were available in the office, but that isn't what was advertised, and wasn't helpful in destination)
• There were no "personal audio headsets so distancing can be maintained when listening to the guide's live commentary".
To say we are disappointed, not to mentioned wholly dissatisfied with this tour is an understatement.

Very enjoyable. Our guide, Shelia, was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Bus driver was a very safe driver. She took us to the entrance of Windsor, stopping to show many points of interest as well as during our travel from London.

The tour guide provided very limited information. Once in the palace, there is no information provided unless you take the recorded tour provided by the palace. However, the guide does not allow time for you to get it and does not tell you the importance. For the price, you receive a minimum and I do not think it is worth it.

Arrived in London early morning and wanted a tour to do until our room was ready. The tour meeting point was walking distance from hotel so this was perfect.
The tour meeting point was hectic as there were several busses for different tours but the employees themselves did not seem to know which was our bus. No announcements made so we walked back and forth between busses with many other people until tour company employees finally figured out which bus was going on our tour.
There was a guide on the bus who walked us to the castle and pointed things out, but the tour itself was on our own with audio guides. And included the chapel, doll house and state rooms

The Castle and the Chapel were both amazing. The audio tour provided, on site, was good. But the tour guide we had was not good, at all. She blathered on and on without providing a thread or any continuity to her comments. She was often difficult to hear and or understand and she spent too much time doing “roll call”, counting people, etc. Participants in a tour like this should be self-regulating. If they can’t keep up they shouldn’t be on a tour. We were sorely disappointed to have learned so little from what should have been a seasoned professional providing interesting, cogent and connected information.

Enjoyed the tour, although it was cut short due to time restraints. There was a lot of time wasted getting started and getting there and we did not get there in time for the Chapel tour. It was 3:30 PM by the time we got to the Chapel, two and one-half hours from our scheduled departure time. It was the first place we tried to see, and the line was so long they were not taking any more visitors. We had to hurry through the castle due to departure time of 5:15 PM. I should get a refund. It was my second unsatisfactory experience with Evan Evans in 2 days.

It was definitely good trip, I had a lot fun and got to know so much about bath, Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and around this destination. It was lovely i am taking with me lots of memories. I would only advice that if u wanna explore more particular destination try to do 2 on each day that would be knowledgeable even if u plan three Thats also good but you would have limited time to explore but it's worth it

Fabulous afternoon with Ruth as our guide. The coach driver was great too, felt completely safe with him at the wheel. I would highly recommend Evan Evans, will use them again. Very informative trip and plenty of time to enjoy this wonderful castle

Godfrey was an excellent and entertaining tour guide. He provided a great amount of background information on Windsor Castle and useful tips on making the most of our visit. Also, our driver was very courteous and professional.
