About the operator

- deaannes20230 contributionsThe Thrill of London in a Mini CarThis company is top notch. It was exactly as advertised and we were picked up from our hotel-door to door service. Our driver Rhiannon was punctual, knowledgeable, and a fantastic driver. We took photos with our classic Mini car name Ada, and it was an absolute thrill to toodle around the city. Rhiannon told us details of the city that we did not know about, and she made stops for us to have a walkabout. Complimentary water was available. The sights especially driving down The Mall was exhilarating! The open sunroof lent itself to taking photos of Big Ben, House of Commons, Westminister Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Burlington Arcade, Waterloo station & the Graffiti tunnel under the station, and much more. Rhiannon made us feel welcomed, and she and the car ride was a definite highlight of our trip to London. Highly recommend! To note: I was able to get into the back seat easily, but those with mobility issues might not be able to do this maneuver. Best to discuss before renting. Thank you for making our time unique and special.Written September 6, 2024
- Pathfinder5208760 contributionsDo it!Definitely one of the highlights of our visits. Rhiannon is a gem, my teens loved her. An absolutely amazing way to see the sights I can’t recommend highly enough.Written September 6, 2024
- Maurice A0 contributionsQuirky fun in LondonTom (driver) was great fun and really enthusiastic to make it a great experience . Showed us things and told stories about London that we hadn’t heard. The car was great fun … always stuck to the speed limit … and attracted lots of attention. We were not small people … and the adults were 60+ but we were able to fit in. Really worth doing compared to the traditional tour. Had a hoot!Written August 29, 2024
- alexbU5863IW0 contributionsLittle Lulu was great, so was Sean! What a wonderful tour! We were smitten with our little Mini - Lulu, and our driver Sean was wonderful! We would 100% recommend this to friends as it was a great way to see the city; very personal which I don’t feel you get on a bus tour etc!Written August 29, 2024
- alexbU5863IW0 contributionsAn amazing way to see the city! Thanks Sean! What an amazing way to see the city! Zipping around in a classic Mini was awesome, and our guide - Sean - was very knowledgable and we had a great time with him, thanks SCBC!Written August 29, 2024
- mpdv20230 contributionsFabulous introduction to London and hidden gemsWe LOVED our private tour! It was such a great way to kick-start our vacation and see some of the lesser known areas and be able to park in quick spots to jump out for photo opps (and leaving our own graffiti). Zipping around the city was so much faster and personal than a large bus. The cars do require a bit of limbo action to hop in the backseat....but that added to the fun.Written August 27, 2024
- Q8850SUas0 contributionsA great way to see the city! Our Sunday morning tour with Chris was excellent. He was early to our pick up, did some quick adjustments to hit all of the sites on our list, and knew great places for beautiful photos. The car is adorable, and comfortable (once you squeeze in!). Thank you, Chris!Written August 27, 2024
- jonsA2247QS0 contributionsGreat Way to Experience London!WOW! such a great experience from start to end. Tom, our guide and driver knows his cars, and his history. He was a fabulous guide. My brother, 16 year old niece and I had a great time seeing the city from Our Mini. Our guide was so knowledgeable and cool , taking us to places you couldn't get to on a big bus or even a walking tour in 2 hours. We all got something out of it. High recommend. 5 stars. I would do it again in a minute. A fabulous way and stylish way to see London!Written August 19, 2024

- KelGabs0 contributionsOverpriced, short London tour, teacup size carThe driver was very nice, the car was extremely uncomfortable. This tour's price in comparison to other tours we did with viator in the same time period seemed exorbitantly pricey by comparison to amount of time, guide knowledge and comfort we are accustomed toWritten July 29, 2024

We both had an amazing experience with Chris he was very knowledgeable and interesting with it. Would highly recommend doing a tour with them. The car was spotless and well cared for. Chris our driver was a brilliant fun driver and very knowledgeable. We stopped at three Gjn palaces and enjoyed some fabulous gin. Even got to see a Dickensian piece of history in one of the pubs basements! I would highly recommend Chris from Small Car Big City. A brilliant gift or treat for anyone.Written July 9, 2024

I went on the Paddington's Marmalade Tour and can honestly say it was such a fun experience. Chris the driver was full of information about London- I saw places I had not been to before, even as a regular visitor to the city. The team had thought of everything with Paddington so not only did I get to see places from the film but there was an interactive IPAD in the car to relive some of those movie moments. The cute case of Paddington souvenirs includes a pop up book and marmalade sandwich. Chris was really flexible with the itinerary so it was possible to get out of the car and walk round places too including visiting Mr Gruber's shop. It was also fun being in a classic Mini Cooper- definitely attracted attention in Central London. This is a lovely tour for kids- and adults.

Matt was our guide. Best guide ever. We arrived late into Heathrow, but he had already reached out to us to check our timing and reassure his flexibility. We loved the Mini, but what really made this two hour tour special was how Matt showed us all around the neighborhoods, and sites providing historical and cultural context all while making pals with our 9-yr-old. He was able to get us up close to sites past the throngs of tourists to give us a truly intimate insider’s lens of the city. Matt was fun, relaxed and just an all around great guy. It was like being welcomed to London by your favorite cousin. It was the perfect way arrive into London. Thank you, Matt!

Tony was our guide and our tour was fantastic. I only had 1/2 day in London with my 20 yr old son and I wanted him to see as many London landmarks as we could fit in. I started by emailing SCBC requesting we cover most major ones including: Big Ben, Westminister Abbey, Tower Bridge, St Pauls, and end in Covent Garden for lunch.
Tony went above and beyond so we could see everything on our list. We paid a little extra but it was worth it.
My son said the highlight was seeing the graffiti at the Leake St arches. Being cool and young, it was a treat for him to see urban art in such a proper city.
We ended up at Covent Garden for lunch and shopping and really could not have covered so much ground if it weren't for Tony driving his mini cooper and dodging in and out of the large summer crowds of London.
Thank you!

There were four of us and two fabulous Mini's and an absolutely memorable trip around London seeing sights for the first time. The trip was so nicely organised, full of info, giggles and stories, it was a dream. We passed some wonderful places and statues, with the story behind them, and had a stop-off in Borough Market, at St Pauls Cathedral and Leake Street. The Mini's are in great condition, the sun-roof a blessing on a hot day and our Drivers made us feel at ease instantly. It's the best way to see London and I would repeat the trip again and again!!

Would highly recommend doing a small car big city tour to anyone visiting London. A great way to see things close up, and also sights that most tour buses take you too. Rhiannon, our guide gave us lots of information and history about the places we visited. On top of all that the car is pretty cool, and lots of fun zipping around London streets in.

A brilliant experience zipping around the seedier side streets of London in these beautiful, charismatic little pocket rockets. Everywhere we went you could see people smile as we went by. The stop-offs and stories along the way were well chosen and told; sometimes quirky, sometimes funny, sometimes sad. It felt like we were in a little bubble of history, taken along in Britain's most characterful of cars.
As eighteenth birthday presents go, this was perfect. Our son is still talking about it, and we know it will be a treasured memory for life for us all.

Sorry it has taken so long ( 1 and half year) for me to write this review!! We visited UK Jan last year as covid just started to leave us along, fortunately the weather was beautiful almost on our whole vacation. I saw this tour on youtube before covid and thought it was fun then book it, that was back to 2019 for a Feb 2020 tour. Then we all know what happened, covid came, we as Australians been locked down in the country for 3 years, every now and then when there is a chance of lock down cancellation I will email them and the team is so patient and nice, waited for 3 years, and finally took us on Jan 2022. Our driver Ian was so friendly, chatty and took us to a good coffee!! ( which you know that's the most important thing for the aussie lol) , he knows every corner of London, told us lots of stories and tales, and even sent me a long list of must-visited bars! I really should write this review 16 mths ago but after getting back to Sydney the busyness just completely swamped with work. Until now we are going back to Europe again I finally remember I own this team a nice review and a HUGE THANK YOU!!!! I've recommended this tour to lots of my friends in the last year and heard lots of good feedbacks from them, I wish all the best for this team!

If you are wanting to see all the London highlights in a condensed tour which has both the fun and wow factor then this is the tour to do. We had a group of 5 so had Joshua and Stevie as our drivers and they were both amazing. Their humour, knowledge and driving skills....legendary! We had an amazing day from driving around London seeing all the sights like Buckingham palace, to Leake St arches, to a stop at the pub and arriving right out front of the Borough Markets on a Saturday arvo it certainly was an incredible four hours. Thanks guys for a truly special day out.

Tony was amazing! We have seen a few of the big “sights” so he personalized our tour and we stopped at a few different interesting sights, all while Tony gave us background, history and fun stories to add to the sight! The car is a huge hit in the streets! It’s so fun, nostalgic and British. Be sure to book this tour it’s a great way to feel out London for all

Chris made our day so special with our tour. He was so knowledgeable about all the fun places he took us, we can't wait to come back and do it again with him to see other sites. Everywhere he went he wasn't just telling us all about it, we actually got to participate in the journey which made it so much better. Chris is such a fun and kind person, we'd recommend him to anyone headed to London looking for a fantastic day !!!

Can I buy this tour as a voucher and book the day I want to do it later?
Written November 25, 2019
Hello - I see the departure times are 9am-9pm. I just want to confirm that we would be able to leave around 3pm as we have a prior engagement scheduled for the morning. Also, I would be booking for 4 people, needing 2 cars & it appears the site only allows for max 2 people. How do I go about confirming the vehicles for the entire party? Thanks much!
