    Experience London in a day!
Totally enjoyable! Mark was full of history to share and had a great personality. The group was small enough to be very manageable (15). Would highly recommend!

    Susanna is a great guide
Susanna was a fantastic guide! So beneficial to walk the streets and learn about Churchill as a person prior to visiting the War Room. Definitely worth it!

Well-informed tour guide and using earphones helped a lot
This was a fairly extensive tour of a massive city. The tour guide was very well-informed and spoke clearly. The earphones really helped enormously in understanding what she was saying and they were crucial because of the noise levels which were always present. My only bother was the use of very uncomfortable earphones which could never be inserted into the ear properly and hurt the ear when attempting to press on them. The earphones should have either silicone covers or be small on-the-ear types, not these hard plastic ones.

London in a day with changing of the guard.
London in a day with changing of the guard. It was a very busy day jam packed with lots of activities. Sheila and the driver did an excellent job of navigating the group through many activities. Sheila was very knowledgeable, informative and funny. I highly recommend this Evan Evans tour with Sheila.

Walking Tour Too Long War Rooms Not Enough Time
We did a Walks Tour that started on Bond Street. The walking tour through where Churchill bought his suits and cigars was nice but the meat of the tour should have been the War Rooms and museum. Our tour guide literally dropped us off at the entrance which was a surprise. The Churchill museum is wonderful!! We were rushed through it. This was a highlight for my husband. I wished we had more time. Go to the War Rooms on your own time.

    A trip highlight
This was the best experience of our trip. The Yeoman was so informative and the group small which allowed for a really great experience. We were able to see places and hear stories that not all visitors have the good fortune to experience. Absolutely wonderful.

    Not the best
We went 8/24 first we were told to meet in one place - wrong they gave out incorrect information. Then we meet up with our guide Mary , who by the way was 2 minutes late to the gate and we did not get to see the guards march. What a disappointment. The company did reimburse us some of our tix $$ . I would advise anyone else to buy the tix there and just go with out the tour guide

    Highly recommend this tour!
We would highly recommend this tour! We went yesterday, Saturday, August 24th, and although it was a wet day - it rained on and off all day, the tour was fabulous! Paul, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and you could tell he really loves his job. The system they had to communicate with us worked very well. We met at the Winston Churchill Statue, where he explained various other statues; then we went into Westminster Abbey, which was incredible; we loved hearing his stories. From there, we walked to see the horses and Buckingham Palace and then to Trafalgar Square - Paul kept us entertained and interested with his stories and historical details. He suggested that we go into a great pub for lunch but gave us other options as well; we had a traditional pub lunch, our group enjoyed a Pint and Pie and fish and chips. Then we walked to the river and onto a boat for a river cruise. We got off the cruise at the Tower Bridge and walked to the Tower of London. We saw the crown jewels and listened to many other stories. There were some areas that Paul wasn't allowed to go into with us, like seeing the crown jewels, but he told us all the things we needed to look for while we were cue to get in. After Paul said goodbye, we investigated many activities Paul and the boat captains suggested. All in all, it was a fabulous day despite the weather.

    Fantastic family day out
We took our children age 7&6 and my husbands parents and purchased the Royal day out trip. Worth checking when the changing of the guards is on, as we booked at 11 and it was heaving with people who were there to watch the changing of the guard. This delayed our first visit as police shut the roads and lots of foreign tourists were not taking direction from the police. We started at the kings Gallery which was lovely, interesting, but we didn’t stay too long as kids weren’t too gripped. We then went to the Royal Mews , greeted by a guided tour guide called Debbie. Her tour was AMAZING, she was so knowledgable, funny and had us all captivated from 6-68 years old!! She deserves a big bonus- what a credit to the Buckingham palace staff. We concluded with the staterooms and gardens- absolutely fascinating and breathtaking. The garden cafe, and icecream shop were reasonably priced. Toilet facilities were more frequent than advertised. We brought a picnic with us and ate it on the green opposite BP in between kings gallery and the Royal Mews. Highly recommend- was a gorgeous day out. Well done Debbie for being our highlight!! 5*

Walking in London , full day trip .
Our guide was knowledgeable, professional, and interesting. We saw so much in a day ! Lots of walking which is much more preferable to me than being on a crowded bus in traffic. This trip exceeded my expectations.

    Totally worth the price!!
This was an awesome tour. Our tour guide was a retired BBC reporter and he was so knowledgeable but yet very relatable. The length of the tour was perfect and we got to see everything we wanted to see.

Great way to see the tower and jewels and enjoy the Thames!!
Always best to have early access to crowded sites! It was easy to find our guide Guy with walks tour and we did have a small group to keep together. It was quite informative to hear the history of the yeoman guards and realize they actually live in the Tower! The jewels were a highlight- we walked right in to see them! Simply gorgeous and amazing! A much better experience than I anticipated! The rest of the Tower tour was entertaining and informative and Guy told fun stories to keep the tour interesting! There’s a lot of history to learn! AND we used the cruise ticket (which I didn’t realize came with this tour ) to get from the Tower of London to Westminster and we loved skipping the tube and having a very well versed view of London from the Thames and hearing the cruise guide in this 30 min ride! I highly recommend this tour and I look forward to USING walks again!!

We will request a refund. Your Doc stated 1:30pm. Tour operators changed time without notifying ALL Guests. Sadly we did not see Westminster Abbey & Parliament as scheduled .
Susan led a group at 1:00 but she obviously did not have the entire group assembled. She left behind aprox 10 paid visitors. We traced from the US & the tour was planned ahead. Disrespect of your guests time is unacceptable

Dear Cforney, Thanks for taking your time to write us a review. We apologize for any inconvenience caused on your tour. On August 20th, we had a train strike in London. As we knew that in advance, we have contacted all the clients to inform them about it. I checked your booking and we sent you that communication on August 14th and then because we did not get a reply from you, we sent another email on August 18th. You did not reply to any of our emails. On that date, even the venues changed their opening hours due to the strike. Our company adapted our schedule and informed all our clients accordingly. I have sent you a message directly to provide other options that are available for you due to this inconvenience. We are very proud to always offer the best experience for our guests and we are really disappointed that we let you down in this way. I am sure we will revert this situation and show you how we care for each of our guests. I will look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Jhonas.

Our visit to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament was quite memorable! A dream come true. However, the Abbey was closed to group tours on the day of our visit. Instead, we used the audio guide provided by the Abbey and a personal guide that the tour company pre-arranged for the Houses of Parliament. Another company that my husband arranged a tour with, did tell us a few days beforehand that this was happening; so I emailed Walks asking to cancel if we were not able to have a guided tour, but did not hear back with an offer to cancel. We feel that at least a discount should have been offered since we didn’t receive a fully guided tour of the Abbey. Also, the group size was 17, somewhat larger than we expected.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are glad to hear that your visit to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament was memorable, and a dream come true for you. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the closure of Westminster Abbey to group tours on the day of your visit. We understand your disappointment in having to use the audio guide instead of receiving a fully guided tour as expected. We also apologize for not responding to your email regarding the cancellation request. Unfortunately, we cannot track your booking and communication based on the nickname used in this review. Could you please contact us via feedback@walks.org so we can further investigate this issue? From our records, our team sent pre-tour notices to all guests, informing them about the Westminster Abbey closure. We would appreciate the opportunity to review your case more closely and make this right for you. Additionally, I would like to mention that the maximum number of people allowed on our tours is 20, so your group size of 17 was within this limit. Please, accept our apologies once again and know that we are looking forward to your email to continue the investigation. Kindly, Andrii Walks & Devour Tours

It was great information in the Abbey, long walk over to Parliment. My mother has mobility issues if having to walk a long distance or on uneven ground. She also does not walk fast. Our guide was able to get us a wheelchair at the Abbey but walking there from our meeting point he was not considerate of her inability to walk any faster as he went at a very lively pace. We also had a long walk to parliment and questionable if able to get a wheelchair there. My mother decided to skip this part. Our guide did not try to see how he could encourage anyone to stay on the tour as a couple of others opted out of parliment also. Of note he was not our guide at Parliment there we had a worker of Parliment as a guide, not sure why our guide stayed with us after getting us to our new guide.

Dear rebeccatO6768CB, I truly appreciate you taking the time to give us your honest feedback, as we're always looking for ways to improve. We are trying to have the best guides on our team to provide the highest level of service. I am sorry to hear that you didn`t enjoy the guided part of the tour in full. Unfortunately, the tour is not accessible to clients with mobility impairments. Our group tour visits a number of locations that are not wheelchair-accessible or mobility friendly. Those with wheelchairs and mobility issues should contact us so we can arrange the visit in advance and avoid such unpleasant situations as you had during the tour. Again, I’m sorry that your experience wasn’t satisfactory. We take feedback from guests very seriously, and your input would help us improve moving forward. I would sincerely appreciate anything else you could tell us with regard to the tour content itself or any other element of your tour that you and your mother felt was not what you expected. You can write us at feedback@walks.org. Best, Sasha

Outstanding tour. I feel like I got a ton more out of it by having the guided tour experience at both the Westminister Abbey and Parliament. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job leading us around and adding in fun facts. I would highly recommend this vs. the pre-recorded options.

This was an excellent tour! Our guide, Emily, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and personable. We were notified three days before the trip that the Abbey would unexpectedly be closed, and Emily provided a wonderful walking tour of the Westminster area instead. And we received a partial refund. Our private guide in Parliament was outstanding, as well. Highly recommend.

The two tour guides, Nick (main) and Nick (House of Commons) were really good and REALLY knew their stuff. However, due to the cold (a LOT of time spent outside or in unreasonably cold areas) it was extremely hard to even concentrate on what they were saying . Standing on cold stone and standing in unheated areas for extensive periods just spoiled the whole experience for us. This would have been an epic tour in even spring or autumn, but was intolerable in winter especially as it was a four hour experience.

Hello Robert G, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with our Skip-the-Line Houses of Parliament and Westminster tour. We are so sorry to hear that the chilly winter weather prevented you from enjoying this tour to the fullest! We always advise our guests to dress appropriately for the weather, but we understand that it can still be difficult to enjoy site-seeing in an uncomfortable environment. As we strive to continue and improve our services, we appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration moving forward. Thank you again for your review; we hope that the rest of your time in London was more enjoyable. Kind Regards, The Walks Team
