I have recently started to get into photography, so I dusted off my dslr camera and booked up for this session on aperture. I went through buy a gift so paid a lot less than £100 (personally I wouldn’t have done it for £100).

Katrina (the session leader) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. Which was fortunate as I’d never gone on manual before so had no clue how to adjust my shutter speed etc.

Overall a really worthwhile 2 hours and I even managed to get a few shots I was very happy with (see below). Definitely worth booking if you’re looking to expand your knowledge and where better than London

One important is that this is for dslr cameras not phones

My wife and I enjoyed the experience a lot, Kat, our guide, was excellent explained everything clearly very informative and approachable. Communication from the company was really good with e-mails about a week before explaining everything we needed to know and then a day before.

This all about exposure and you got to have a good DSLR and a tripod to do it. The guide was kind enough to give a few tripods to the ones who didn't have any. I took the south bank tour.I wish I had taken the other as it would involve the London Eye and the other interesting land marks. All in all its a good one, but you got to have some basic knowledge about photography.

The Southbank tour was given to me as a Christmas present and I didn't know what to expect, especially as I consider myself a fairly seasoned photographer. I must admit however, that the evening, despite the biting wind was definitely useful and I did learn more than I thought I would. Katrina (the guide/instructor) made the subject of aperture extremely easy to follow and understand and took us to a few places starting at Waterloo Bridge and ending by St Paul's, all along the Southbank.

There were only 6 of us in the group and our experience levels varied but the thing with photographers is that we get on and just click (no pun) even if we don't know each other initially.

It was a good night and well worth the trip into London. I had been meaning for some time to travel in at night to take photos and this was a perfect excuse to do it.

Just remember this is a tour for people who have a DSLR and not a mobile phone camera. You will only use "Manual Mode" and you need a tripod for ALL the shots. A cable release and/or timer would be ideal also.

My one criticism is that I don't feel the price of 100GBP I worth it. I think 50GBP is more reasonable. In saying that, I shall be booking the Westminster Tour because I have a discount code.

Katrina was a knowledgeable and friendly guide/instructor and made the evening was to follow, so thank you to her.

Business
I took the Nighttime tour of the South Bank of London during a business trip. The tour guide was very good. I am currently attending the Rhode Island School of Design for Photography and the guide's breakdown and explanation on ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed was more concise and easier to understand than all of the never ending technical diatribes that I've paid thousands of dollars to hear in class from some of the world's foremost photograpers! My wife, who happened to tag along as a non-photographer walked away understanding it! "That's easy," she exclaimed! There were all different levels of skills in the group and the guide moved around ensuring that everyone was all set. She primarily focused her instructions on those that were newer or inexperienced with night photography but she still checked in and offered hints and tips to those of us with more experience. You won't see a ton of sites, but this is not that type of tour. It's designed for those that want to take long exposure photos of the scenic South Bank of the Thames River at night. I'll definitely be checking them out again the next time I'm back in London.

I really enjoyed the tour. The explanations of the camera settings really helped me to understand things better and hope to put some of the affects I learned to good use in the future.

The person leading the talk was clear, gave helpful advice and allowed us to explore and learn. Enjoyed the experience, and the proportion of teacher to students was spot on. I gained a lot from the evening.

Friends
I was very excited for the Photography Night tour and travelled from hoddesdon into London, to then be disappointed as there was no signage around to indicated where we should be meeting, no one turned up and we was standing in the rain for 30min, we then tried to call the company many of times and no answer each time, in the end we went home and had a wasted trip.
