- F7104RLmelissaz00Amazing experienceHad an amazing time during this tour. Tourguide Emily and driver Mo did an amazing job by telling lots of interesting facts and stories during the tour. Would recommend to do it on a weekday because on weekends the traffic tends to get really bad therefore the tour takes longer and it ia cold in december :)
- wendylD7401AM00Bath and Stonehenge Day-TourVery friendly staff. Regina goes out of her way to help everyone out and Tony was a very safe driver. Definitely recommend this tour as both sites are absolutely beautiful and worth seeing.
- FionaC20500A real Christmassy experience!!! 5*****!!The night was cold and rainy, but despite this we had a great time. We were seated up top and were given waterproof ponchos as we boarded the bus. The staff were very friendly and our tour guide Federica was amazing. She was so warm and entertaining, and extremely knowledgeable about the places on our tour. We were taken to all of the best Christmassy hotspots in the centre of London and the lights were amazing. We even all joined in on a couple of Christmas songs. I would definitely recommend, not only to visitors from abroad, but to visitors from the UK having a Christmassy day in the capital.
- Fay53300Fantastic experience - such a knowledgeable tour guideWe have paid out for expensive tour guides before and they have not had the knowledge of London that Alex had. We live in London and there were lots of interesting facts Alex shared with us as we went along, that I didn’t know before. His humor completely made the bus tour! Oxford street had a road closure and traffic was very busy because of winter wonderland and Julie was a fantastic driver, navigating the busy traffic and cyclists with a death wish, like a pro. Will defo recommend to all of our friends and family. Well done Alex and Julie - what a dream team!
- Eivlid00Highly recommendedRather cold, but still we enjoyed the trip very much. The guide, mr Alex, did a wonderful job. He shared his knowledge with all of us in a humorous and interesting way. He was very enthusiastic. The driver (Sorry - cannot remember her name) drove very carefully and comfortably. Watching Christmas lights in London by night is highly recommended.
- 85judio00Lovely staff make this a great trip! The people working on this trip were so kind and friendly. We’d missed our scheduled bus but they helped to get us on another one and were so chatty and happy. The driver was lovely, big smiles, and the tour guide, Jack, really made it a memorable trip. He was so knowledgable and funny! Christmas lights were beautiful too.
- SurreyCarole00Enjoyable, informative bus tour to see the lightsGreat view of the London lights from the top of a bus. It was pouring with rain but fortunately we were under cover and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience aided by the wonderful tour guide Andy. Very knowledgeable with a sense of humour. We would book again
- cathrynills00Fabulous Xmas experienceWow this was a fabulous experience. Such a fun thing to do. The bus was all trimmed up. Fab music. Wasn't cold at all on board . The sights were lovely. We did the 3.15pm one so everywhere was lit up for xmas. Everyone on board was festive & friendly . The girls serving worked so hard and were so helpful & friendly. The scones were delicious and warm. The prosseco was flowing and the tea to take away as a sovernier was a fantastic idea. So glad we did this. Thank you
- Travel4366679528600Great Christmas Light TourThe Christmas Light tour was really great. Even though there was a ton of traffic our driver Ivan did a terrific job and our tour guide Frederica was lively and entertaining. You get to see a LOT gorgeous lights without having to navigate the crowds by foot. I would highly recommend doing this if you are in London at Christmas.
- davidgU8252FX00Recommended trip to Shakespeare's family home, Oxford and a castle, and nice drive through the English countryside. We took the day trip to Warwick Castle, The Cotwolds, Stratford, and Oxford. No complaints at all. In fact our driver was very professional and guide Grace was awesome as well. Thanks for not leaving us in Oxford! Recommended if you want a nice coach trip to and from London to these destinations.
- 220wandat00Great driverMy driver Yashif was the best and most considerate driver. He was very quick to avert an accident by another vehicle. So careful on the road at such busy afternoons
- N1194CYmarkw00London golden tours xmas lightsHad a great time seeing the light we had two girls singing before we left with guide federica who made the trip great
- 377mickir00Breathtaking sights, amazing tour guide & driver. Such a pleasant experience overall! Our tour guide Bruce, and our driver Malcolm, were absolutely great. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and Bruce was very informative, witty, and had a great sense of humour. He made sure all guidelines were sent out properly, and ensured everyone’s safety. Both Bruce and Malcolm made sure we reached all destinations on time (we were first in line at the Windsor Castle!) so we all had a convenient day tour! I would highly recommend Golden Tours. Such a worthwhile experience!
- Curious44499200Save your money and take a regular bus insteadA true and utter disappointment. They advertise with a tour in an open bus, but they have several seats, where there is extremely little vision. Might as well have taken a regular bus and not have been cold. Total and utter waste of money. The staff were incredibly rude and very unprofessional. Should get zero stars really when they sell tickets for what should be unusable seats, because you can't see the lights from them, despite them advertising otherwise.
- 487fedep00Great experience!Great service! Special thanks to niki and George who were very helpful and friendly. We were able to visit all important sites and learn about London. Thank you.

*This review does not reflect upon WB Studios London, just the company responsible for transporting us to and from the studio.*
.
TL:DR DO NOT USE GOLDEN TOURS We were left, with no notice or contact from Golden Tours at our pick up point for two hours having to make contact with their very rude customer service team. The ability to watch the films on board is questionable as they are barely visible or audible. We were then left stranded at WB studio at 9pm, the pick up time, having to arrange our own way back at our own expense.
.
We were supposed to be meeting up from King's Cross station at 1315, with the tour starting at 1330. There were 25-30 of us waiting at the bus stop. The bus did not arrive. We spoke to a driver for a different Golden Tours service at 1345 and were informed that the bus would be with us in 5 minutes. It did not arrive.
At 1410 we called Golden Tours customer service, who were very blunt and informed us that the bus had broken down and would be with us in about 25 minutes. It did not arrive.
We called Golden Tours customer service again at 1500, now an hour and a half after we were supposed to leave, and were very rudely told that, as the driver of one of the numerous tour buses had told one of the people waiting at the stop, the bus would be with us within 30 minutes. Apparently they expected all the groups there to disseminate this information, rather than having the basic decency to correspond with us directly.
Finally the bus arrived at 1515, two hours after the intended meeting time. The bus itself looks spectacular, however the screens for watching the film are incredibly lacklustre, providing very low quality video of what I assume was the directors commentary of the philosophers stone. Periodically text would appear with facts or quiz questions, however these were barely legible due to the quality, furthermore the sound quality was atrocious and I could barely hear the film, with quiet speech being completely inaudible.
When we arrived at the studios we were given a later meeting time for the bus back of 2100, being advised to get there at 2050 to ensure we did not miss it. 2100 came and the bus DID NOT ARRIVE. By this point Golden Tours customer service was closed, so about 20 of us were left stranded in the cold concerned about how we would be getting back to our hotels.
By 2200 we had got in contact with the staff of WB studios who very kindly took our details, got in contact with the managing director of Golden Tours and offered us a free bus to Watford Junction, where we had to pay for ourselves to travel back into London.
If this company thinks it is OK to leave numerous people, including families with children, stranded and feeling hopeless, then I would strongly suggest they stop operating as this is disgraceful and irresponsible behavior.

Dear Ethan C
Thank you for taking the time to comment on your booking with Golden Tours.
We would like to offer our sincere regrets for the situation that occurred on Saturday evening at the Studio. We have investigation the issue and have found that there was a breakdown in communication at our end for which we are extremely sorry.
We have many departures to the Studio every day and on this one occasion an error was made. On Saturday we found that we had the opportunity to allow you to extend your Studio visit from the normal 4.5 hours to 5.5 hours. Due to this and the driving hours regulations that we must follow, a change in drivers was required. The error occurred due to the driver arriving at the 'normal' time and there being no passengers to take back to central London.
The refund process has started, and you will be contacted soon with details. We have also amended our processes so that this will never happen again.
Kind regards

I didn't book direct with the studio in time for our December trip so ended up purchasing through Golden Tours. Opted for the private vehicle to and from because I was worried about how the bus would go. There was no communication prior to the day with the exception of my original order so I was a little nervous about whether someone would show up. I called the day before and a gentleman answered and assured me that we would be picked up! About 30 min prior to our scheduled 10:30am pickup from our hotel, I received a text message from our driver that he was on his way. He was early but didn't rush us. I believe we were scheduled for approx. a 90 minute drive with time at Harry Potter from 12-4:30. We got there at 11am. The car was a little tight for 3 of us but not bad and the driver was very nice and friendly. I asked if he would be the same driver taking us back and he said it was unlikely (but ended up being him again!).
Went to the ticket booth with our reservation info (printing of the confirmation info is easiest - or on the phone is fine but I found it easier having a printout), received our tickets immediately and walked right in. There were a lot of student groups there but not overly crowded when we went in at 11am.
I know some folks say that 4.5 hours is not enough but it was more than enough for us. We didn't stop at every "scene" and read through everything or do an official tour but we did spend time looking for snitches and stamps. My 11yr old daughter had a great time! We did the pictures on the broom, then went through to the train station where there is a little shop. I recommend looking there and buying what you can there because there's hardly a line whereas at the end it's a super long line and you CANNOT go back! We had lunch - it was a little busy but not a horrific wait. I feel like the time we went was right before the big crowd...
We got through the whole thing and finished shopping around 2pm. Again, many folks will want the whole time but we were plenty happy after 3 hours. I called around 1:45 to see if there was any way a driver could come sooner and was told our original pickup was at 4:30. I was thinking we would just take the shuttle to the train station and pay an extra £30+ to ride the train back but they were so nice and called for our ride early and he came in 20 min and ended up being the same driver!
We had a wonderful time and everything worked out so well! Definitely worth it! Would definitely use Golden Tours again!

Absolutely terrible service. After waiting for the bus for over an hour, the bus didn’t turn up. We called and they said a few minutes and the bus would be there. Then a return call to say there’d been an error and we would have to make our own way there.
After we’d already booked the tickets we were told there was alternate coaches from Baker Street that was £15 return - definitely would advise that in the future!

Do not book this trip with Golden tours. The Harry Potter tour and staff are fabulous but book an alternative tour operator or your own transportation.
The Golden tours bus was 2 hours late at the meeting point with no apology and quite rude customer service operators when you dared to ring up & ask where it was.
After standing outside for 2 hours we eventually got going to the studio. The driver told us to be back at the bus for return trip at 8.50pm which we all did. The bus did not turn up to take us back, left us there with no communication and answer machine on at the customer service phone line.
The Warner Brothers staff were fantastic and organised taxi’s & bus transportation ( which we had to pay even though we had paid Golden tours for return transportation ) to get us back to London.
Despite trying to speak to someone at Golden tours you just get told to send an email & still no one from the firm has even apologised.

Worst experience ever.
Less than 48h before your departure from London, they send you a short email telling you that the tickets you acquired for 70 pounds are obsolete as they canceled the bus because there is not enough people.
Since then I sent various emails, no answer. So I think I will take a cab and spend a few hours to go to their office to get reimbursed. And it's supposed to be the official agency from Warner Bros... WHAT A SHAME

Dear Thomas,
We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience with us. Please rest assured that it is never our intention to alter any price, place visited, itinerary or hotel, however in rare occasions we must make changes owing to unforeseen circumstances or operational concerns.
An email was sent to you last Thursday at 15:17. In it, we did ask you for the details of your entry tickets to the Studio, as our intention was to notify the Studio about you delayed arrival, in order to guarantee your entrance. Regrettably, we never received a response to it. Your next email was a request for a refund, which we also confirmed to you by email.
Again we are sorry for your frustration, however a solution was offered immediately.
Kind regards

Had a really good experience. The driver (Armoindo) was lovely and made sure the pick up time was told to us all individually. The tvs on the bus are a nice touch too kept the kids happy on the way. Everything was clean and tidy too.

The trip was very good, better than we expected! It was a 21st bday present for my sister who is a huge fan and it surpassed all expectations.
We were warmly greeted by Armando, who checked everything which made the process even easier. The whole experiance was very calm and pleasant!!
When we had finished the tour he recognised us and greeted us which made the trip feel even more better. He has great customer service and a warm presence.. Thank you for a lovely day!
The package is well worth the price for a lovely and comfortable day out!! Custom Bus, Harry Potter film on video screens with securely packaged earphones and mobile phone charge points on the bus added bonus..

After trying to book direct and there being no availability, I was delighted to find the golden tours package including transport from kings cross where we were staying.
The bus stop was very easy to find and the bus arrived early. We were delighted to see it was Harry Potter themed, and the screens showing the movie were an excellent distraction on the way there. I was also happy to see that seatbelts were provided on the bus too.
We got to HP half an hour early and we’re allowed to enter straight away. Everything went smoothly and at the end of the day we met the bus 15 minutes before departure which was great as it allowed everyone time to get to their seats and get comfy in time for departure.
The journey back to Kings cross was great too.
Will definitely be using Golden Tours if I go back. I’ve already recommended it to a lot of friends.

I do not recommend this company. I purchase tickets and transport to and from Harry Potter studios while staying in London with a party of five. Communication was horrible. The first car that picked us up was very squished and an old car. A taxi would have been much better. I had no idea how to get our tickets but fortunately staff at Harry Potter made it easy to resolve. I tried contacting the company with no response. For pick up, no one contacted me until I called them. I was then given a phone number for our driver (this took thirty minutes while we sat outside). I called him and he had been sitting in the parking lot and had no way to contact us. The van he picked us up in then had a broken seat belt and no gas. Better to take the Harry Potter shuttle that takes you to and from the city for free or grab a taxi.

The Harry Potter Studio tour was amazing. Golden Tour was nothing more than transportation and tickets. The driver did not say one word the entire trip. The real issue was at the end. The driver said the bus would return at 3:30 for 3:45 departure. We left the tour inside and it is now 3:53 and our bus is not here and it is raining. There is very little cover for customers at the bus stop. I don’t see any point in the service and would just book everything direct. Only benefit is there are tickets available when the official site sells out online.

Dear Kathleen W,
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We are sorry to hear that you did not think the service was worth it. Golden Tours are preferred partners of Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. This allows us to offer exclusive packages with return transportation, even when entry tickets aren’t available on the official website. Additionally, you will have the chance to watch a Harry Potter film whilst travelling in a branded bus. If you wanted to write into customerservices@goldentours.com, we will be happy to investigate your claims further.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Golden Tours

I am trying to get tickets to Harry Potter World that are currently sold out. We are flexible to go any day from December 28, 2018 and January 2, 2019. Is there a way to get on a waiting list. How likely is it that tickets might open up? We are coming from the US

hallo, ist es möglich die tour zu buchen und bezahlen, die Rückreise aber auf eigene kosten zu organisieren? und dafür kann man länger im Studio bleiben?

poorest quality video I've seen since playing a VHS left out in the sun -- don't bother watching with all the skips, stops and jerking ahead because they must run this same DVD 24/7 without replacing.
*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
