    Great Trip!
Robert was a terrific guide. Lots of information and interesting stories during the trip. Pawel was a very safe and careful driver throughout the day.

We totally enjoyed Robert, our guide and Pawel, the driver , who entertained us on the way and brought us safely to 3 places to remember: Warwick, Stratford- on- Avon and Oxford. Thank you for your knowledge and sense of humor,Robert! The only thing I am sad about, that the time in each town was so extremely short. We will try to fix it next time we are in England.

    Worth it
Pawle was the best driver, honestly he should try to become an F1 driver. Blud was driving the equivalent of a 16 wheeler on what was meant for horses. Robert was also good.😆 Just kidding, Robert went into amazing details on every single thing and have a backstory to everything on the tour.It was amazing how much we learned in really just a max 5 hours of walking.

Poor experience for the premium money
In general I believe the timing to see these three places in 1 go was quite poor and and oversell. Being on the road for 1-1.5 hour each time and just have 30-60mins to spend at the venue is quite unbalanced. How can someone for example be in Oxford and get to only spend 45 mins? Or at Stonehenge having only 15mins to see the actual place and the rest to wait for transportation. I also believe the tour guide was quite annoying by talking non stop in the microphone speaking about how genius his son was to take test or talk about her own personal life for 1.5 hours non stop. This made everyone quite bored and fall sleep including the driver that was about to have an accident. The tour guide should not talk that much on a trip especially with irrelevant information

Smooth journey via coach, entertaining tour guide. Windsor Castle is closed on Monday and Tuesday, so just walked around outside. Regina did a great job.

    A must do day.
this was a Day One tour, leaving from the coach station in Westminster and returning to Victoria station at about 7 PM. The guide was very knowledgeable not only about the attractions themselves but throughout the entire trip, literally from the time we were pulling out of the coach station, and she explained the necessity of being precisely on time. As we drove through London, she told us many things about the prior terrible smog problems in London, the vast improvement should've been made, pointed out the housing of all kinds, commented on the neighborhoods as we went through. We even had a number of lectures from her about the national health, service, average, wages, and taxes,. Very interesting and appropriate. At Leedscastle she was not permitted to guide us in the building and told us so in advance, but because of the preferred access of this tour company, we were driven literally to the front door of the castle saving substantial time, probably 20 minutes each way walking to and from the car park. It is an interesting castle restored in the 1920s by an American heiress. The grounds are beautiful but not overwhelming. We next went to Dover. While she was very helpful with information about Dover and I am well acquainted with the importance of Dover and Dunkirk I think if anything could've been spared, perhaps that was it because the time was somewhat short for both Canterbury Leeds, and especially for Canterbury cathedral. It was there that she really shined. She was able to give us a guided tour, and with the assistance of individual hearing devices, all of us were able to hear her as we walked through Canterbury and into the cathedral. It was spectacular and stunning in every way, and while the tour was, moving right along at all times it did not seem rushed. It is a truly historic, majestic and spiritual place. The driver. Ben, was a wizard behind the wheel getting into places with that bus that I think I would've had a hard time driving into with my car. This was a fairly long day, but well worth it in every respect.

    This tour underdelivers - disappointing
Because the tour description is vague at best, I’m going to recount to you, dear reader, how our time was spent on the Evan Evans tour to Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath. Itinerary 7:30 Arrive at Victoria Coach Station, get wristbands 7:30 - 8:15 Retrieved a wristband from person with a clipboard to indicate your tour type. Stood around in a crowded terminal waiting to board bus. Another Windsor/Stonehenge/Bath tour was taken out to their bus ahead of us. At 7:55, a lady opened the door from the bus parking area and shouted out that the bus for our tour was delayed “5-10 minutes”. Then, Anna Maria, the tour guide, began to walk around to people to check her roll. This process was extremely disorganized. I indicated our family of four, but she was so distracted and harried that she didn’t mark us correctly. Then, she assumed my husband belonged to another family, likely due to his skin color not matching mine. 8:15 Finally board bus and hear the bus driver shout to someone outside of the bus that she shouldn’t have taken this job. 8:25 - 9:15 Travel to Windsor 9:15 - 10:45 Walk to Windsor Castle entry point and then wait in line in the rain to enter castle. When we joined the queue, the guide said, “Don’t worry, they just opened. The line will go very fast.” We spent well over an hour waiting in line, while we watched casual tourists walk right up to another line to gain entry. 10:45 - 11:30 Quickly walked around Windsor Castle and the Chapel. 11:30 - 11:45 Hustle back to Bus bc we were told to be back by 12 pm. A family of 5 with a toddler in a stroller were left behind, while a family of 3 who was left behind by another Evan Evans bus were added to our bus. 12:10-1:45 Travel to Stonehenge 1:45 -2:30 Stonehenge - we were admonished not to be late because we were running behind and “we would be left behind”. That threat felt very real. My family and I visited the restrooms, skipped the Visitor Center, and then boarded a shuttle to the Stones. The shuttle was crowded, but quick (7-8 minutes to travel 1.5 miles). We walked on the loop around the stones, stopping briefly to take a few pictures. Then, at 2:10, we joined the queue for the return shuttle. This queue had hundreds of people in it. We boarded a shuttle at 2:26, which dropped us at the Visitor Center. The path to the Coach parking is clearly blocked by ropes, so you are forced to go through the Shop to exit the facility. We disembarked the shuttle at 2:34, muscled our way through the crowded Shop, and ran to the Coach. There were a few other tour customers behind us. 2:45 - 3:45 Travel to Bath 3:45 - 4:40 (bus driver changed it to 5 minutes earlier bc of driving hour restrictions for her). All customers disembarked and followed Anna Maria, the guide, down a road toward the Baths. She elected to stop in front of a plaza in which a musician was playing amplified guitar music and tried to shout instructions about where to meet the bus over the sound of the music. Thank goodness I have good hearing and speak English as my first language, otherwise it would have been impossible to understand. We chose to skip the Baths bc we were worried about being left and we needed to eat something. The bus driver was not at the appointed meeting place until 4:54. All customers on bus by 4:57 4:57 - 7:45 Travel back to London, disembark near Victoria Station Thank you to another reviewer for suggesting to bring snacks on this tour. We ate our granola bars and fruit on the bus while traveling from Windsor to Stonehenge. Those snacks were our salvation as there was little time to get something to eat from a vendor. I am extremely disappointed in this tour. Technically, the tour took us to all the promised places. However, most of our time was spent traveling on the bus and standing in line. We are visitors to this beautiful, history-rich country. We put our faith in a tour company that visiting all three of these sites would be feasible in one day. While Windsor Castle was an interesting site for art and architecture, I would skip it and spend more time in Bath and Stonehenge. My family enjoys learning new things, but this tour is superficial, seemingly focused on checking the boxes off a list without providing any substantive experience. I guess it’s perfect for the Instagram crowd. In the miscellaneous category of promised, but underdelivered, are the onboard Wi-Fi and device charging. Technically, those amenities are provided. However, they are both weak/slow. I plugged my phone in for an hour and it only added 10% of charge. The Wi-Fi was functional, but not good by any means. The bus was clean with good climate control. I would never recommend this tour, especially not to families with little ones, as all the children on our tour were miserable.

Mel was great! The tour made for a somewhat long day but to be expected for the sites visited. The history and stories provided by Mel made it very interesting. Gulia, the bus driver, was very skillful and smooth all day maneuvering in and around traffic. Highly recommend the tour with Mel.

We had afternoon tea booked for 3pm, we weren’t seated until 3.20pm, food arrived at 3.45pm. Only a few sandwiches arrived and all of a sudden the scones & pastries were served and some of us hadn’t even been brought sandwiches.

Waiter poured my mother in law a jubilee tea and immediately after said ‘I would let the pot brew more’ the service was all over the place and extremely poor, a real shame as the food was great.

A truly enjoyable experience. Lovely atmosphere with a friendly, welcoming staff. Delicious array of sandwiches and sweets. (Still dreaming of the lemon tart and the "blt" with smoked chili jam.)
My two adult daughters and I traveled to London for a week in early March. Afternoon tea was a must for us and Ruben's was a great choice. Literally across the street from a gate into Buckingham Palace, we saw horse guards come and go several times. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The decor was opulent, allowing you to imagine the room full of Victorian ladies sipping tea. Exactly what we wanted.
The option here on Trip Advisor as to who was with me does not provide a choice for adult family for some reason. I'm not sure young children would enjoy it, but teens and young adults definitely would.

We spent a very pleasant couple of hours here just before Christmas.
The service was good, the tea selection nice, the food was well presented and the champagne flowed freely.
We go on an annual visit to London and always do an afternoon tea at the Cafe Royal, sadly this year our reservation was cancelled due to staff sickness's. Although this was a more sedate experience than the over the top Oscar Wilde Room at the Cafe Royal, it was still very enjoyable.
Worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

Fabulous afternoon tea. Excellent attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely surroundings, and atmosphere. Menu was well thought out and delicious. We had afternoon tea with the bottomless champagne offer on a recent Saturday afternoon for my birthday. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were told our booking was at 3.30pm so our table would be ready then and not before so we waited on the sofa by the entrance and 3.30pm passed and it was actually 3.45pm before we were seated and we didn't see any food until about 4.10pm. The sandwiches were nice but our sons didn't like one of the set and we asked for some more cheese and pickle sandwiches instead but these never materialised. The pastries and cakes were nice although two massive jam doughnuts for our kids felt a little bit out of place! We were given 8 scones and only one bit of jam and cream for this - about the amount you would normally expect for 2. We asked for some more jam and after having to ask again finally got one more small pot. My wife sat for the last 20 minutes with an empty champagne class and was not offered a top up but by then we were fed up with continuously having to ask for things and had given up. Overall, the experience was very disappointing, the service poor (not enough staff) and I would have refused to pay the optional service charge but by then we just wanted to go. Last year we had the same kind of package at Fortnum and Mason and it could not have been more different. The service was exceptional, they made no bones about the fact you could have more sandwiches and cakes if you wanted and you didn't spend the whole time trying to get someone's attention for something. We just wish we'd gone back there instead as nothing there was too much trouble.

Very welcoming staff and very professional. They were very prompt to bring over the tea we had chosen and the mulled wine. The tea was quoted as 'the best I've ever had' by my mother and she basically only really drinks tea. The vegetarian option was fabulous. I wasn't a fan of two out of four of the sandwiches but probably my fault as don't like fish or cured meat. Although extra sandwiches and scones were offered but I was so full! I did need to request a clean knife to cut my scone as my one was covered in mustard and that was quickly resolved. We were given a box to take away our left over cakes and they were great for breakfast the next day. We had a prime seat looking at the palace with a comfy two seater sofa. Very indulgent and delicious. Definitely a must do.

Food, service, ambiance was great. Very welcoming staff who assisted with any request. Sandwiches were a good mix and could be replaced with more if required; cakes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We had taken the champagne upgrade which was lovely but be careful if you ask for a top up……£25 per glass!! A little steep i think. However would recommend this experience.

This is a beautiful hotel. The doorman made us very welcome, he was a very happy, amusing gentleman who instantly brought a smile to our faces. We chose the Jubilee Tea, there was an abundance of scones and the cakes were lovely, however the smoked salmon bagels were hard which we mentioned to one of the staff who immediately apologised and they were replaced by salmon sandwiches, albeit about 30 minutes later.
The tea was rather weak, I chose the Planters Tea, which is suppose to be full bodied, it wasn't, possibly because it was a large tea pot and insufficient tea had been added.
If there was a rate your experience as 'Good' then this is what I would have chosen rather than Average however I do not think it merited Very Good.
