Perfect experience for avid and casual sherlock holmes fans A+
This walking guide was brill. The sights were amazing. Bought this for my fiance who was a sherlock nerd but from someone who isn't a huge fan, our guide, Owen, was perfect and very engaging. He added little tidbits of british history here and there which led me to be more engaged in the tour. Also A+ on the greatest detective joke. Dont want to spoil it for anybody who wants to do this tour.

    Great tour for movie fans
Our son's a big Kingsman fan and this was the perfect tour to highlight the movie locations, especially the Huntsman shop. Our guide Michael and driver Scott were super knowledgeable and fun. We learned a lot of general London history too. Highly recommend it.

    Gavin and Stacey tour
Absolutely brilliant Gavin and Stacey tour with Knock off Nessa and Dave (Levi). ‘Nessa’ was a brilliant tour guide. We visited the pub, church and houses used and other several places pointed out. Obviously the highlight was being able to go inside Stacey’s house which is extremely kind of Glenda, the lady who owns the house. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend for any fan of the show.

    Visiting Gangsterland
Vas was welcoming but on point with the east end Geezer, cheeky chappy verbals. Everyone was fair game and often were 😂. Not the tour for anyone who dislikes industrial language but it was in context to the story being sold old about east end gangsters. Informative on the subject matter and including associated local history that gave further insight, my group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. You don’t finish at the same location so be prepared. We stayed in the pub for quite a bit lol.

Highclere is magnificent; tour is meh
Downton Abbey Coach Tour from London. This was a convenient way for me to get to Highclere Castle from London, and the house is well worth the trip. The tour is not designed well in terms of places to get food (tour guide asked us not to get food at rest stop; take your lunch with you or eat sad sandwiches at the grocery story in Brompton; there were only cakes and scones at Highclere by the time we got there) or timing of restroom breaks (toilets in Brompton cost 20p). There were no clips from Downton Abbey played on the bus between stops, even though the tour write-up said there would be. Highclere Castle is magnificent, but be forewarned that no one is allowed to take pictures inside the house. I was surprised that the catering service at Highclere was not more elegant (it was all paper cups and bamboo cutlery), and that the gift shop was so crowded, both with merchandise and people. The merchandise itself is not displayed to its best advantage, and it has little to do with the television series.

A fabulous tour for Downton Abbey fans!
We went on the fabulous Downton Abby and Village Small Group tour this week, and highly recommend it! Our guide, Jed, was wonderful, filling the day with lots of information and fun. Our group was small - 17 people in a small bus with lots of room - a very comfortable ride. We spent an hour in Bampton where Jed pointed out seveal of the filming locations, showing us the scene from the movie in a colorful flip book. It was so much fun to see! And then on to Highclere Castle which was incredible. Jed gave us a helpful color guide of the rooms we would walk through and how they fit into the show. We were on our own for about 3 hours to explore the castle and the beautiful grounds and have a leisurely lunch. I highly recommend this tour!

    Great tour, highly recommend
Enjoyable tour of Harry Potter sights with our guide Owen, who was engaging, charismatic, informative, and poised despite unanticipated protests that altered our route slightly and the controlled chaos of navigating the tube with a group. He brought to life different areas of London, highly recommend for a fun way to explore London.

Harry Potter filming walking tour London
Booked the tour for me and my friend in the last part of May. We had an amazing time. The tour was great and we had a really funny and informative time. Our guide Jericho was very informative and really engaging with everyone. I had to write a review for us to share. I recommend choosing this tour as it will be fun and secrets will be revealed. There was so much to be seen and the time it took was ideal. I would say bring packed lunches and maybe watch the films back to piece each scene that is visited. 5stars

    Excellent
The tour was a really awesome experience. Our tour guide Owen provided comprehensive explanation of the set of Shelock Holmes movies and gave us lots of trivial info on London history. Both my daughter and I learned lots! The amount of walking was just about right. Highly recommend to any shelock holmes fans! We went to the Shelock Holmes live game in the afternoon so it was a great day for us.

Incredible experience with great coverage of London's historical centre, witty jokes and rich anecdotes. Fiona was the best guide ever, with an insightful knowledge of both London and her favorite shows. If you think you know London or that you're a fan, you might want to reconsider! You'll end the tour wandering how 3 hours can fly by so quickly and wanting to see more of if. A must-do if you spend even a couple of days in the city and a delight for fans, friends and families alike!

Very good tour, with a guide (Fiona) who was very enthusiastic and definitely knew her Who. An excellent commentary on not only the Who-related sights, but the other London sights seen as we passed. Even as a Londoner I found out some things that I hadn't known before. Fiona was friendly and easy to talk to. At the end of the tour she gave some ideas about places to eat, and other sights that were in the area.

Amazing walking trip. The guide Owen was amazing. Took the experience over and above. Plenty of history as well as Dr Who, can't recommend enough. Covered annecdotes, amazing humour.

Jeremiah was an excellent guide! He was well informed, energetic and funny.
Easily walkable tour, my family group included a 12 year old and 50 year old who had no trouble keeping the pace for this adventure.

We have taken hundreds of walking tours -- and Michael was the worst tour guide we've ever had.

On the pro side -- he was a knowledgeable Dr. Who fan

On the con side -- he clearly wanted the tour to be over as fast as possible. We moved through the city at a steady jog, despite one elderly lady's request that we slow down. She was often a football field or more behind us.

He never asked anyone's name, he didn't ask us about our Dr. Who experience, who our favorite doctor was, or anything. It was like a long, painful monologue.

The actual places we briefly visited and looking at the photos of the show and comparing the scenery etc. was interesting. But it was not worth the time or money spent.

We are sorry to hear that you didnt enjoy the Doctor Who Tour. As you can see from our other reviews of both this tour and of Michael as guide most clients really enjoy it. We try our very best to please everyone but on this occasion it seems we didnt succeed with yourself. We hope you will give us another try in future.

We were given this tour as a Christmas present and my (less so my partner's) from the outset viewing of Dr Who (worryingly I'm now older than William Hartnell was then, but without the re-generation). It's really a walking tour of an interesting bit of London mostly rooted in Dr Who but with lots of stuff about what else is around you. The start point was easy to find and we were rounded up by Chris, our engaging and knowledgeable guide. Each stop had a story and some supporting photos and there was usually an "oh, yeah..." moment as recollection kicked in. My partner was equally engaged by the general stuff, so you don't need to an absolute fan to enjoy it. If I had a small complaint its that the tour is mostly based on the re-boot from 2005 but that didn't diminish the overall experience which would thoroughly recommend.

Paid for 3 tickets through Viator for a 10:30am Dr Who Walking Tour in London on Aug 4, 2017. Showed up at 10:34 (few minutes late due to a train station closure--no one there. No one in the area--we looked all around, hoping to catch up--found two other walking tours but not this one. Called the "customer service" number listed on the vouchers only to get a recording that says "this number does not receive incoming calls." I emailed the Viator later that day. The reply said it was our problem for being late, they do not know the tour route anyway nor how to contact the tour provider (BritMovieTours), but if I'd like to PAY AGAIN they'd be happy to book us for a tour the next day. Yeah, right, like I'd give more money to a company with this kind of customer service. Over the course of the day they sent more emails, offering first a 25% then a 50% discount on re-booking. If they had room in the tour, why not just let us take the tour? We had already paid for it! I took the kids to the Dr. Who Museum instead (out of the way but fun) and booked with a DIFFERENT walking tour company (whotourlondon) for the next day where we received a private tour for about the same price as the Viator one. So, Viator/BritMovie Tour companies got to keep their money for providing nothing, but they have forever lost a customer. I'll never understand why companies spend so much money advertising to attract new customers and then treat their actual customers so poorly.

I booked this for part of a surprise trip for my daughter's 13th birthday and it really made our holiday. Scott was the perfect guide, informative, friendly and very, very knowledgeable about Dr Who, London and Harry Potter. I would recommend anyone who is a Dr Who fan to go, but even if you aren't a fan of still recommend it as Scott was very entertaining and gave us lots of interesting info about London and the sights too.

I recieved this tour as a gift for my Birthday, as a massive fan of Doctor Who it was the ultimate present! Owen, our tour guide was incredibly friendly, funny and informative. A great oppurtunity to see some of the most prominent locations used in the filming of Doctor Who, from 'Rose' to 'Dark Water' and 'Death in Heaven' as well as learn a lot about the creation of some of your favourite episodes. This great Doctor Who Walking Tour also acts as a fun short tour of some of the most iconic landmarks in the London too.

Overall, an incredibly fun experience that I would recommend to any Whovian that either lives local or visiting. However, do bear in mind that this Tour only covers 'New Who' from 2005 onward with some mentions of the original series. I can't recommend this enough!

If you or any of your family is a Doctor Who fan, don't miss this tour. It was the highlight of my trip. It was fun and informative. Jerimah did a great job. There were a couple of young whovians on the tour and they seemed to love it also. The only thing I would add to the tour is to stop at Earl Court tube station to see the Blue Box.
