  • Small-group tour limited to 16 people allows for personalized attention
What to expect
  • After hotel pickup in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan, travel through the English countryside toward the ancient Kingdom of Wessex, to one of England’s most mysterious landmarks. Learn about the mystifying history of Stonehenge as you listen to commentary from your guide.   Begin the tour at Salisbury Plain, home to Stonehenge. Look out on a landscape scattered with stone circles and burial chambers more than 5,000 years old, and hear theories surrounding the mysterious scene. You'll also have time to stroll the grounds and take photos. Continue to the small town of Glastonbury, where King Arthur’s sword was reputedly created. Delve into the region’s rich history with your guide and ascend to the summit of Glastonbury Tor to see landmarks such as St. Michael’s Church from the hilltop. Stroll the Chalice Well Gardens to discover the biblical legends that shroud the enclave and then break for lunch at a local restaurant (own expense). Head to Glastonbury Abbey to pay your respects to King Arthur and Queen Guinevere in their final resting places. Next, travel to the village of Avebury, home to charming thatched-roof cottages and some of the largest megalithic stone circles in the world. Marvel at these huge monuments that were hauled into place thousands of years ago. Then, relax during the return journey back to London, where the tour concludes.

The best day trip available to get a taste of the magic of of this area. Guide and driver, Chrstine and Badger, excellent and accommodating. If you are interested in the mystery, legend and energy of this area, take this tour. Caution - it will leave you wanting another visit soon. Highly recommend!

Tony was a wonderful guide, eloquent, intelligent, and ebullient. He had great information to pass along as he took us to see the sites. Glastonbury abbey was amazing. Go on this tour. Great for history buffs and anglophiles. Well worth the $$.

Tony was our guide and he was such a hoot! He was talkative and made hilarious commentary throughout the tour. He also gave us helpful tips on what to do afterwards. I only gave it a 4/5 because I felt like the tour could have ended at Glastonbury and been a half day tour so we could have more time to do other things in London.

Our tour guide, Christina, and our driver, Paul, were the very best.
The seats on our mini-bus were very narrow and less than 100% comfortable. The mini-bus was, however, clean and modern, and the air-conditioning worked.

I typically prefer to avoid group tours because I don't like the typical rigidity and grinding feel. I'm only in London for a short time and really wanted to visit Glastonbury; train and bus options stunk, so I decided to give this a shot. I'm very, very glad I did. This tour was everything I could have asked for. The small group atmosphere was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable not just of the locations we were visiting, but details like traffic patterns and approaches to give us the best opportunities. He was also very receptive to the group's interests, letting us prioritize time where we most wanted it. I would not hesitate to book a tour with this company again.

Had a really wonderful tour of Stonehenge, Glastonbury and Winchester with Oz! He's extremely knowledgeable and really helped instill a sense of the history, charm and magic of all of the locations. Would highly recommend doing a tour with Oz!
