About
See the best of ‘cool Britannia’ on a full-day tour of Pink Floyd-related sites. Formed in the 1960s, the progressive English rock band performed together for nearly three decades and, as such, the musicians’ hometowns of Cambridge and London are scattered with attractions linked to them. What to expect
  • Greet your knowledgeable guide at central London location and climb aboard a comfortable coach for the journey to the historical city of Cambridge. On a panoramic coach tour, see the childhood homes of band members, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Syd Barrett, and then disembark the coach for an enriching walking tour of Cambridge’s cobbled streets.  Admire the elegant architecture and quaint waterways as you listen to illuminating commentary that combines the history of Cambridge with Pink Floyd’s epic musical influence. Opt to explore the grand interior of Cambridge University at your own expense, and then return to your comfortable coach for the scenic journey back to London.  On arrival in trendy Notting Hill, set out to discover why this vibrant corner of north London has inspired so many prominent musicians. Admire significant Pink Floyd sites like the Tabernacle building, where the band played numerous gigs, interspersed with vintage stores and vinyl record shops.  Next, head to the chic and sophisticated borough of Islington to admire the classic architecture of Pink Floyd’s Britannia Row studios and then carry on to Abbey Road to recreate The Beatles’ iconic album cover at the zebra crossing.  Conclude your tour with a final stop at Alexandra Palace; a grand 18th-century gig venue perched on the top of a hill. Admire sweeping vistas of the sparkling city and stroll around the gardens before re-boarding your coach and returning to your original departure point.
