Beautiful trip, perfectly timed! Our guide Nicholas was great, I have learned so much and I could listen to him all day it was so interesting. Not only he did a guided tour of the cathedral, Canterbury and about the history of Leeds Castle, but he also explained so much of what we could see from the coach during the trip and also on our way out of London and back in. Nicholas is very knowledgeable and is able to entertain the crowd while informing at the same time. Perfect prosody. Would recommend 100%!

Norma was a terrific guide on our day trip to 3 beautiful areas of England, taking the time to give us a personalised tour of Canterbury Cathedral. It was obvious that she has great knowledge of the history and culture of England, specifically Canterbury, and you could tell she enjoys doing what she does.
Our driver Steve was great fun and went out of his way to show us great views of the Cliffs of Dover despite it being a misty day. The two of them made a great team. I will definitely be touring with Evan Evans in future trips to London, and highly recommend them to others.

We had a blast with our tour. Shiela was very knowledgeable and told wonderful stories all along the route. Paul the driver did a great job and as a bus driver myself he squeezed thru some spots that I would never even try lol.

I found this tour deeply disappointing. My primary motivation for booking this tour was a chance to view the White Cliffs. The other stops would be bonuses for me. Not only are you not able to go atop the cliffs, you can only view them from the beach at a great distance. I feel the description in the tour itinerary is greatly misleading. In addition whilst the castle and cathedral are interesting, the tours themselves are bland and the cathedral is currently covered in scaffolding both in and outside, so a lot of it’s luster is lacking. I understand the scaffolding/construction on a centuries old building is not the tour company’s fault, but our guide seemed aware of this when we arrived and I feel there is a professional obligation to let the customer know the building is not as pictured on the website. I feel the price of this tour does not reflect the wow factor at all, I regret +++ booking this tour.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a us a review. We greatly appreciate your feedback and take everything on-board. We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with certain aspects of the tour. The visit to Dover is a short photo stop. On regards to the Cathedral being under construction these buildings are hundreds of years old and need to be restored for everyone to enjoy and to be maintained,we understand your frustration, however this is beyond our control. If you find yourself in London again we would like to host you on another Evan Evans tour in the future. Kind regards, Evan Evans Team

This is a very good, all day trip from London. Leeds Castle is absolutely beautiful and has an incredibly interesting history. The Owl and Falcon experience is well worth it and the Hedge Maze is something that you have to try (takes 20 to 25 minutes). You get about 20 minutes to walk around the edge of downtown and this provides you with a distant view of the white cliffs. You don’t actually go up to the cliffs, though. From Dover, you take the bus to Canterbury Cathedral. Quite honestly, although I guess you might as well see the cliffs if you are driving near them, I would have rather we skipped Dover and had more time in Canterbury. The cathedral is dripping with history, the shopping area is fairly quaint and, even after touring the Cathedral and walking around the town, there is enough time to have a nice lunch in one of the many restaurants along Canterbury’s cobblestone streets. You can’t go fifty feet without hitting a restaurant. A long bus ride to Greenwich follows, and you board a riverboat at the Greenwich Harbor as soon as you arrive. The tour ends after a half hour on the Thames. All of this is a very good way to spend a day, but having an excellent tour guide like we had, Trish, made it an EXCELLENT way to spend the day. Trish’s knowledge of applicable history is encyclopedic and her pronunciation of French names and places was spot on. If Trish is your guide, try to stay awake on the bus rides because you’ll learn a lot when she speaks.

My boyfriend and I booked and paid for this tour a few days before it was due to depart. Less than a day later, I received an email from the tour company informing us that the tour was booked out and to contact Viator/Trip Advisor directly to receive a refund. I sent 2 emails requesting the refund, both of which were never replied to. Unfortunately, I stumbled across the online cancellation process a little too late, as you need to do this at least 24 hours in advance. I'm very disappointed in the lack of professionalism in not replying to either of my emails in which I could have been informed of the correct cancellation process a lot earlier to receive a full refund. As a result, I lost at least 200 dollars that I could have spent on another tour or attraction.

What a fabulous excursion we had! Our tour guide, Sheila, was a wealth off knowledge. Not only did she tell us ALL about the sites on the tour, but she supplemented with stories and information about so many other topics. The tour was the perfect balance of listening and learning, walking and exploring and downtime and relaxation. Highly recommend!

Went on a tour today with Mark as our driver and Kevin as the tour guide. The tour in itself was pretty good. Kevin knew a lot of interesting facts about each place, so it was entertaining throughout the entire time. The architecture inside the Canterbury Cathedral is impeccable! My favorite is the crypt inside! I would say there was a slight faux pas on the description of the trip vs what you receive because you don’t get a private tour of Leeds castle because there were already other people there when we arrived.

Very nice trip despite poor weather and heavy traffic. Guide Norma was very knowledgeable and informative and deftly adapted the tour schedule to compensate for unexpected motorway delay. Driver Paul provided an amazingly smooth ride throughout. We would enthusiastically recommend this tour.
