What to expect
Select the day you wish to take both tours when you book. Then, when the time comes, collect your tickets and make your own way to both the London Eye and the cruise departure jetty. London Eye Flight: Travel independently to the London Eye, one of London’s most iconic landmarks, on the south bank of the Thames River, and gaze up at the gigantic structure. Rising 442 feet (135 meters) high, the Eye is one of Europe’s tallest observation wheels and has welcomed an average 3.5 million people a year since opening in 2000. Marvel at the panoramas over London’s skyline and admire landmarks such as Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral and more. On a clear day, the views can stretch up to 25 miles (40 kilometers) in each direction, so you’re in for a treat! Thames River Sightseeing Cruise: Step onto your comfortable sightseeing boat. Find a spot on the outer, upper deck or the spacious lower saloon, and settle in for your cruise. Have your camera ready as you sail by some of London’s best-known sights, and drink in the wonderful views of the river, its bridges, and the north and south banks. As you sail, listen to the interesting live commentary from the onboard guide. Learn the stories of the landmarks as they roll by.

A must do!!
Fantastic way to see Londons top attractions, 40 minutes from Westminster pier to Tower pier and 40 minutes back again. The London Eye is "just there", Big Ben if you look backwards, along the river you see and get a live commentary about all the top attractions as you pass them. Fantastic way to see London especially with kids, fastest way to. Highly recommended!

You will be disappointed
This is simply a bus on the river. We were told there was commentary, but nothing could be heard. We complained & were told to speak to Pier Manager.....waste of time. Would not recommend.....also very disappointed in their lack of customer service......

Brilliant Vistas!
Jan 2020
It was a clear day and the views were amazing. I’m afraid of heights and was okay with this experience. The capsules travel at a good pace. There were only 8 of us on the ride. Easy to move around and take photos. It’s a bit pricey for a 30 minutes. We did buy the skip the queue tickets. Overall a good London experience for us.

Make sure you get a live river guide - they know the water - are very entertaining and make the cruise. See some neat sites and the Thames is a great route. Be dressed right as the water is usually a bit chillier . We loved it!

See the sights!
Sep 2019
My partner and I took a City Cruise from Greenwich to Westminster. I had a free ticket from City Hall for my London Ambassador volunteering in the summer. We picked up the 10.30am boat and were surprised just how busy it was. So get to the pier early if you want to get a seat on the top deck. There are audio guides included in the price of your ticket if you should need a translation service. There is a cafe with reasonably priced hot and cold drinks, as well snacks down stairs. At Tower Hill, one of the crew gave a commentary that was fun and informative. At least we laughed at the jokes... We disembarked at Westminster and carried on with our day out in London.

Fun traveling on the Thames
Jul 2019
City cruises is a great way to travel across London quickly while taking in some sights along the way. We purchased tickets online before we arrived to save time. Our family got on the crowded Westminster Pier and went to Tower Bridge pier stop, saving us lots of time and steps. It’s possible to get on and off throughout the day at several stops all the way to Greenwich pier. On a first come first serve basis, passengers like us come and leave at each brief stop, while waiting for the announcement at each station port. We were pleasantly surprised to hear the entertaining and often amusing narration over the speaker of attractions along the way, such as the London Eye and Tower Bridge. After sightseeing we got back on from Tower Bridge to Westminster Pier to conclude our day. Our family definitely recommends London City Cruises as a convenient and entertaining way to travel across and tour London.

There was some interesting information on the Thames Tour about the Waterloo Bridge, Parliament and the original site of Shakespeare Theater. But the river was gross. The view from the London Eye was fine but mostly unremarkable.

Is beatiful to watch London from one of the capsules on the London Eye. I will do it again, even if you have long lines in summer, you only wait for 30 minutes max to get there.

Waste of money

Purchased a red rover ticket only to find at least a 35 minute wait. We did not have time as we had a reservation. Decided to get the boat back. Told 20 minute wait which turned into 45 minutes. We were then told it was the last of the night and only going 2 stops.
