    Disappointed
We were scheduled for the lunch cruise on Tuesday September 26. When I printed the confirmation the first page did not print. Not sure why this happened. We put Thames Cruises London (per the booking receipt, 2nd page) in our Google maps. We were directed to the opposite side of the river. Needless to say we missed the boat. We called, explained our dilemma and requested a credit towards the dinner reservation. This was our last day in London. We were told it was our responsibility to arrive on time and no credit would be allowed. Just a heads up to double check your paperwork with this outfit. No flexibility and no common courtesy!

Convenient trip to Greenwich but no commentary
Positives-quick transport to Greenwich with 2 minute walk to Cutty Sark. Sandwiches and some beverages available for purchase. Negatives-smell of exhaust, no commentary that we could hear.

    Excellent—Great time
Excellent time today! Our guide onboard, Jamie, couldn’t have been better! He was knowledgeable, great information and excellent personality! Great job! Remember folks, gratuity isn’t included in your tour price. Show a little love and be sure to give a tip when warranted!

    Relaxing cruise down the Thames
This was a good cruise. We sat on the top floor because it was a clear warm evening. It was fun seeing everything lit up. We were very impressed with the champagne to start, followed up by some tasty and fancy snacks/h'ordeurves. Staff was very friendly. The only thing we did not like was that there was no commentary and we had expected commentary to tell us what we were seeing.

    Great tour!
Great experience! Very good option for family with kids, after a long day of walk touring around the city, or even on raining days!. The captain was funny, and all staffs, especially Zahra was awesome! Highly recommend!

    TOTAL SCAM
I reserved a london dinner cruise for 4 people and paid $590 and tried to cancel the day after I reserved and was within the 4 days of free cancellations and was impossible to do that . Showed up to the cruise and it was a crazy sight w over 300 people trying to find their cruise and never find the cruise I signed up for . Tried to call them and don’t have a phone to call. Went online and can’t find any live person to talk to . BBE AWARE . They have a robot answering questions . Going to stop my credit card payment and file a complaint with a lawyer .Total Scam once you pay them .

Great tour but be weary of purchasing drinks via the QR App!!!
Trip itself was really good and the guide was fantastic who made the trip down the Thames enjoyable with his humour and facts about the landmarks. However, future customers please beware when purchasing food and drinks while on the tour. As a family we decided to order some drinks via their QR code which is plastered over the seats. To cut a long story short we unfortunately didn’t receive the items we ordered due to a mix up with bar staff and the fact that they were extremely busy. These things happen and the staff apologised and said they would have to speak to head office to arrange a refund…. Understandable. However, now after around 21 days and being past from pillar to post by the company and multiple emails they are still yet to refund. This is after City Cruises firstly stated technical difficulties and then that they had refunded the monies but there was issues with the bank. I cannot fathom, how difficult a simple refund can be and take so long. Customer services have been atrocious and quite unhelpful.

Great sights but no live commentary.
A lovely way to see some London sights BUT very disappointed there was no LIVE commentary AS MENTIONED IN THE DESCRIPTION. Live commentary was a major reason we booked this trip. We travelled from Westminster to Greenwich and had got as far as Tower Bridge by the time we got the correct app downloaded and found the correct commentary. Four of us had to listen to one phone. What would the noise have been like if the boat had been full???? People need to know to download the commentary app beforehand and to bring headphones!

    Not worth the cost
It was starting to drizzle rain when we arrived. We asked about the ferry at a neighboring kiosk. It went on nearly the same part of the river and discovered that it was £4 cheaper. However, we decided to go on the cruise since the ticket seller at City Cruises told us there would be a commentary, so we thought we’d learn about the lankmarks along the river. After the trip started, we asked about the commentary and were told there was none because of the rain. Because of the rain, we couldn’t see very well, but there were many tall buildings that stood out. I wonder what they were since no one told us anything!

Enjoyable way to see London from the waterfront
After touring Westminster Abby we walked two blocks to the Westminster Pier and took the City Cruise back to the Tower Bridge Pier near our hotel. Much fun and the crew announcer was very informative.

    A memorable lunch cruise
The whole trip was amazing. The food, drink and expert service made it a very pleasurable experience. As a group of friends meeting up it was just the best trip we could have organised. On the upper deck there were so many tourist attractions to photograph and the weather was perfect. Looking forward to another trip next year.

    Nice night on the water
Our dinner river cruise was pleasant. It wasn’t a dynamic night or a bust. The food was nicely presented, (not sure the salmon mousse was universally well received.) The temperature outside was perfect to step outside to catch the sights of London and we returned in just under three hours time, as advertised. Would I recommend this? Sure, if you want a way to see more of the city than you could on a normal night. But once a trip should be enough.

    All good but not 100%
Once on the boat we were treated to a professional crewe with commentary and banter at the same time that makes for good learning for about special sites on the bank side. The only let down is the pier staff and signage with many of us running around to find the correct boarding points.

We booked a table for two but when boarding we were shown to a table with another couple. When I queried this I was curtly told "You have to pay extra for a window seat" I didn't even mention that I wanted a window seat. Just a table for two which I had booked.
I also ordered one afternoon tea for a diabetic but we were given a selection the same as everyone else. The server had no idea about a diabetic alternative & offered a 'Fruit Salad' instead??? The sandwiches had obviously been standing in the open for some time as one side was dry & distinctly 'crisper' than the other.
When the tea was poured it was only lukewarm & we ended up buying water. The service was sullen & indifferent.
Not the best of experiences & judging by the amount of food left on the plates & thrown away we weren't the only people unhappy with the afternoon. I certainly would not recommend it, if fact I would deter anyone thinking about booking it.
See the river from a much cheaper river bus & book a 'land based' afternoon tea instead

We were bought vouchers for this trip as a wedding gift. Having looked up the price, I know it was not cheap (£60+) but the whole experience felt cheap and horrible. I would never tell my friend who bought the gift so not to hurt her feelings, but hopefully can stop you wasting your money.

When we boarded the boat we were sat on a table for 4 people, another couple we did not know were seated on the other two seats. I asked if we could be seated by the window, where there were tables for 2 but was told these cost extra!

We departed at 3.30pm, we were asked if we wanted any drinks, to which I replied tea and was told I would have to wait for that to come round. That is when I realised they were trying to upsell onboard drinks.
Our sandwiches and 'cakes' were served shortly afterwards but it was 4pm until we got our first cup of tea. This was poured straight into cups, we were not given teapots.

The food itself was poor and not the best quality, also only one scone each when normally afternoon tea you get 2!

At 4.30, they cleared away our tea cups. So the unlimited tea lasted 30 mins, which only allowed for a couple of refills.

The description said there would be commentary, there was none.

I just feel for the cost this was not value for money. It should be more like £15 each.

Went on this trip yesterday 9th October. AOnce seated we waited nearly 20 minutes to be served our afternoon tea. In fact the couple next to us who were seated after us had had theirs and eaten it by the time it arrived. No choice given for herbal or fruit teas. Sandwiches and cakes were OK. Despite it being unlimited tea and coffee we had to ask to be refilled and despite this being a 90 minute experience with 30 minutes left our cups were swiftly removed even when we still had coffee left! Next thing I put my glass of prosecco down and that was gone. It's a pity you don't bring the food out as quickly as you cleared the tables! Toilet seats were all broken in female toilets and thr boat has seen better days. The only saving grace was the commentary very funny but very informative. Unfortunately I don't think this was value for money at £45 per person and you could get a meal deal at tesco and an uber boat for the same experience much cheaper.

When reserving the “cruise” I opted for window seats and when we boarded we were informed that those seats were reserved but not in my name… could have been an error in my part however the less than satisfactory experience continues.
Dirty cutlery
NO HAND SANITISERS anywhere even though that was the first thing listed on the booking as a “ covid safety feature”. We travelled on the underground where we touched hand rails and buttons and were expecting at least to be able to sanitise our hands given that one of us in the party has limited mobility we didn’t expect to have her navigate her way around tables and corridors to wash hands.
The staff were smug in their attitude when I asked about my seat reservation and even more smug when I asked where the hand sanitisers were.
We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and orange for the table and when the order came to the table we were presented with one small glass of orange juice and four glasses (clearly a miscommunication issue, thought) I explained that we wanted to mix some orange juice into the flutes with the Prosecco but that seemed to confusing for the server whom had never heard of a mimosa or a buck fizz (in the uk). I was informed they had now container to pour with so of course the oj spilled on mixing.
The WCs ran out of toilet paper halfway through the journey (in both men and women facilities) and were not replaced, when the staff was informed we noticed more smug expressions, not all the staff behaved poorly in fact some were very pleasant and accommodating (hence the one star review).
Could have been a nice experience but….

Hello cpalmahm, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback following your sightseeing cruise, and we are sorry to hear that it didn't meet your expectations. Our aim is to ensure that every one of our guests has a fantastic experience and it always concerns us to receive feedback which shows this may not be the case. Firstly hand sanitisers are provided on all boats in various locations, but we will investigate the matter and make sure all our covid measuremnts are followed on board our vessels. Sorry for any confusion in the reservation for the window seats and not being familiar with drink titles, we will also look further into this to make sure our crew are familar. Thank you once again for your feedback, it is only through this that we are able to improve our service and guest experience. City Cruises

Didn't enjoy my city cruise experience from the start. We seemed to have been extra guests and they just wanted a bit more money. We was not seated with everyone else we had a table made up at the front of the boat on our own and just felt awkward. Sandwiches ok alright if you liked cheese as it was in them all! I would have preferred that the cakes were too of each as they were all different we tried to half each one do the pair of us could try them all. Staff with tea and coffee didn't really come to our table as we wasnt with everybody else so had to keep getting up and asking for refreshments.
All in all there are far better options for a river cruise afternoon tea.

This trip is a take on. When you phone up to book & talk to a miserable operator & get told if you don’t pay an extra £10 which guarantees you a window table you with be sat on a table of four with strangers!!
Went on here as a gift. Was really looking forward to it. The boat docked got on I am disabled with walking stick was being shown to a tiny table at the back so stopped & told the waitress that I couldn’t get any further .No space between table either
The seats are pull down ones that are very uncomfortable. They then run around asking if you would like to buy a drink rather than get the traditional tea & coffee out. A little while later we finally get tea & coffee, another little wait came the stand with sandwiches cakes & scones. Not much was edible. It was either hard or disintegrated when you picked them up. Totally inedible we actually told the waiter who said it was down to the suppliers…
I enjoyed the sights of the Thames but the afternoon tea considering how overpriced it is was not worth the money .
The staff at the end gathered with a tray to tip them. Not much was on it.

We booked this tea cruise for an afternoon following a busy day of tours where we thought it would be nice to sit down, relax, and take in the sites while sipping some tea. We didn't have the chance to do any other traditional afternoon teas so I can't compare it to others but we found this to be an unexpectedly great afternoon.

They were able to sit our group of six together. We found the food to be very good. My son has a peanut allergy and they told us what he should not eat and were even kind enough to bring a couple additional biscuits for him since there were other items he could not eat. This was really appreciated.

The cruise was really pleasant, covered a lot of the river, and the captain provided some commentary on the sites which was interesting and also pretty funny. After we finished everything we went up top to take in the beautiful day and get some good photos during our last pass under the tower bridge.

I would recommend this as a great way to take a little break and get both a traditional afternoon tea and a Thames cruise in at the same time. We planned it to follow our tour of the Tower of London. Since it leaves from just outside the tower this was really convenient and let us get off our feet after a lot of walking and standing at the tower. I would recommend this cruise to friends and felt like we got our money's worth.

Upon arrival we walked down to the boarding area and we’re rudely turned away and told to “Wait up too” until 15 mins prior to boarding. We did as instructed and upon returning we went back to the boarding area where people were already being boarded. Nice cruise but boat is dated. One of our seats reclined to far back. We could not hear the tour guide making announcements or pointing out sights. The sweets and tea were delicious but the sandwiches left a lot to be desired. I would have been content just taking the river cruise.

My mum and I booked an afternoon tea river cruise. There was quite a lot of people on the trip, in fact the boat was full and I was dreading if it was going to feel like a ‘conveyor belt’. I was very wrong.

After being seated we were offered the choice to purchase alcohol with our afternoon tea. We were then served a selection of sandwiches, small cakes and scones. Tea and coffee was unlimited from the moment the food was served.

I have to say this is one of the best afternoon teas I have had. We had a selection of small desserts which I much prefer than larger ones. We had around 4 cakes each! All of them lovely!

When the boat is travelling back there is commentary about the tourist sites. I found this very entertaining and informative. I certainly would love to book this afternoon tea again when returning to London. Would definitely recommend! Xx

Went on the Thames Afternoon Tea cruise with my family on the last day of our Trip to London. It was a really chilled way to enjoy our last afternoon. 2 of us had the gluten free option and the children had the plain sandwiches option. There was a nice selection of sandwiches and cakes to choose from. We requested mint tea and it was refilled for us a couple of times along with water for the boys and we also pre-ordered a some fizz for the adults and soft drinks for the boys. The pre order didn't seem to have been picked up at first but this was sorted by the friendly staff. Service was maybe a little slow to get to our end of the boat initially, but we were quite happy enjoying the views from the panoramic windows in front of us. If you are a larger party you can only get a middle table, so its worth asking to be seated near the large windows as you get on. The tables were more spaced out than I thought they would be and to be honest you can get a good view from them all. Toilets on board were clean. The staff were all polite and friendly and we appreciated the crew doing a bit of commentary...enough to point out things worth noticing but not intrusive on our family time. We had plenty to choose from but left room for a meal since it was our last night in London. We took our time walking past The Tower of London, then over Tower Bridge and along the South Bank towards Westminster (about an hour and a bit) and finished with a lovely meal on the outside terrace at Strada.
