The guide (Vincent Clarke) was very personable and had an immense (and genuinely very interesting) knowledge of the city, it’s sights, history and culture. A simple personal visit wouldn’t do this fabulous city of Liverpool justice without his insight. I’d also say it’s astonishing that all but two of the many museums and galleries are all free to enter. The tour is ‘free’ and ours lasted circa two and a half hours and wasn’t too arduous for me despite some I happily gave Vince £20 it was great value

The three of us took this tour on 1st May with Vincent. He is excellent, in two and half hours we learnt so much history, art, culture and anecdotes of Liverpool. There was time to ask questions and also to receive suggestions from the guide for things to do in our own time. I would recommend this tour to anyone, nothing beats a local passionate guide to add true value to the city visit.

The walking tour we took on 18th June with Vincent as our local guide was excellent. The meeting point is easy to find on the steps of St George's Hall (opposite Lime St Station) at 11am, a perfect mix of history, interesting facts, stunning architecture, personal insights and humour.
I thought I knew the City pretty well but I am so glad that we took this tour as Vincent did a brilliant job and went at a comfortable pace and spoke clearly.
100% recommend this trip but please remember a "free" tour means if you think the guide has done a good job you tip accordingly so take some cash !!!

We went on the trip and had Vinny as our tour guide. He was excellent, knowledgeable and engaged with the tourists. Considering Liverpool is our home city, we learnt lots of new information about it. We would highly recommend this experience considering the tour is free of charge. Vinny relies on tips from the tour members which we were more than happy to give as the 2 hours flew by.

Done the Beatles and Blitz tour last year and was very impessed about the guide John. Matthew was even more passionated to talk about his town and give a huge enjoyable information on such away that everybody was interested. He is giving the first time visitors to Liverpool the rigth impression that Liverpool is more than football (a very important part when you are a red) and Beatles. All in very high standard tours.

We’ve done a few of these free walking tours in various European cities and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Our tour guide was Vincent and he was very knowledgeable and filled the tour with lots of facts and further tips for our stay in the city. The tour started at St George’s Hall opposite Lime Street and weaved its way through the city taking in lots of sights. The tour covered historic buildings, Hillsborough memorial, the Beatles / Music, the war, the docks and general history of Liverpool. A fantastic introduction to Liverpool and highly recommended.
PS. Don’t forget the (generously) tip your tour guide!

We completed the walking tour on 29th August and Matthew was our tour guide. The tour was fantastic! Matthew always welcoming and friendly and kept us interested and entertained throughout the whole tour. He was clearly very passionate about Liverpool and passed a lot of interesting information into us. The tour lasted around 2.5 hours and was definitely worth it. There were so many interesting sights to see and history of Liverpool to learn. From venues where the Beatles played, to cathedrals, statues and station, so much of Liverpool’s incredible history was covered. Matthew also gives you helpful tips and recommendations along the way for while you are in Liverpool. Without a doubt, a tour worth taking part in and I’ll be looking at another walking tour for our next city trip!

Just finished my tour with our guide Vincent. Even though I’ve lived here all my life I discovered thing I never knew. This was a great way to spend a few hours finding out really interesting facts about my home city.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable and full of really interesting facts. Really impressed and would do recommend this to both visitors and locals.

We did a free Liverpool city walking tour and our tour guide was Matthew. He was very friendly, funny and shared a lot of interesting stories which were not overloaded with unnecessary information but were easy to follow and remember. I would definitely recommend this tour, even if you are not keen on sightseeing tours or walking in general.

Decided to do a 3 hour free walking tour of Liverpool to get to know the city. Our time with guide Allan was brilliant. We learned many intetesting facts we would not have known and saw parts of Liverpool we had not considered visiting all brought to life by the very entertaining Allan. Highly recommended introduction to a lovely city.

Is this tour suitable for families with children in pushchairs?

Yes, suitable for children and buggies. The kids might get bored with the stories but there’s enough change of locale to keep them interested. All paths are on pavement so buggy-friendly
Does this tour go to the UNESCO waterfront section? Does this tour hit the Beatles highlights?

It hit a few of the Beatles highlights but not Abbey Road.

Generalmente se deja entre 5 y 10 libras por persona. Tener en cuenta que los guias pagan 2.5 libras por persona. Personalmente e dejado 10 libras por persona en ese tour porque el guÃa fue excelente.
