Had an amazing experience on our Lake District tour with Derek as our guide! His knowledge of the area was incredible—he shared fascinating insights about the history, landscapes, and even the hidden gems most people miss. We went on a tour with Trevor as our guide and it was excellent. He is a very knowledgeable person and a great driver. He has shown us all the sights, made stops to allow some time to take pictures and told us interesting facts about the area. I will definitely recommend Mountain Goat Tours to my friends.

Did the 10 lake tour with Tony as our guide. His professionalism and knowledge was incredible. Such a top bloke Appropriate humour and so many facts about the Lakes Would hugely recommend. I'll definitely recommend and hopefully do this trip again in the future.

I did a day trip with Mountain Goat Tours to Whitby near York with a train ride. It was a small van and the driver & guide Ben was the best1! He has a theatre background and his commentary was extremely interesting and entertaining. Very well organized company and great value for money.

The trip to the 10 lakes led by Tim was an unforgettable experience for me. I visited England for the first time and I found the high mountains and the wonderful lake fascinating. Tim's engaging stories about the sights and his safe driving on the steep, narrow roads was a real treat. The lines of poetry and the walks at the stops made the trip an experience of a lifetime for me. Thank you Tim for the most beautifuliest experience during the trip.

If like us you are new to the Lake district then this tour is ideal. Mark our driver was very knowledgeable and the views that you get are beautiful. Just the right amount of time to wander and take photos at the stops. I was pleased not to be driving along some of the narrow roads and it was great to be able to sit back and enjoy the scenery.

Would highly recommend this tour of the Lakes. Went today , the views were spectacular and I must say that our driver and tour guide Mark was so knowledgeable and his personality made the trip even more enjoyable

As a family of five, we took the 10-lake tour with Mountain Goat, and it was the highlight of our trip. Peter Fox, our guide, was fantastic. His knowledge of the Lake District was impressive, and he was patient and accommodating. He even took us to a surprise viewpoint that was breathtaking. If you’re short on time and want to skip the hassle of driving, book this tour—you won’t regret it. Peter's passion for the Lake District shines through in his extensive knowledge and engaging storytelling throughout the tour. Exploring on your own wouldn’t capture the same depth of appreciation for the historical significance of each area.

Mountain Goat - All Creatures Great & Small tour this October, 2024 was absolutely the best day ever! Our guide John was so informative. He reviewed Yorkshire history and tied it into the place names we drove through, explained the topography, the reasons there are hawthorn hedgerows in some areas and stone walls in others. We saw sites where All Creatures was filmed. John navigated the most narrow of roads carefully and stopped for photos at many breathtakingly beautiful spots. I cannot wait to go on another Mt Goat tour! I would never have seen or learned as much just driving myself. My only recommendation is that they add Harrogate as a starting point of tours. The town is always full of visitors who would appreciate the convenience of boarding the bus in Harrogate as well as the top notch service Mountain Goat provides!

Tim was so friendly and informative about all the areas we visited. My son has ASD and he took time to answer his questions.
