Our guides, Sandra and Julian were wonderful and fun to spend the day with. Very knowledgeable, impeccable driving and they shared many interesting details. Would highly recommend.

I did this tour with my daughter and three other lovely tourists and had a wonderful experience. Our guide (I am so sorry to have forgotten the name) made it extra special with a wealth of information he shared with us. Thoroughly enjoyed the stories along with spectacular views. We went on Friday 20th October. So sorry I have forgotten the driver’s name but was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and took us on a beautiful tour which wasn’t affected by the weather except having to change course once due to a fallen tree across the road. A few stops for photos and we felt very safe with his knowledge of the area and careful driving. Would certainly recommend this tour.

Had the best day with Tim on this tour. His company was fantastic only beaten by his knowledge of the area. Excellent way to see a large area of the lakes whilst learning the history and being expertly driven up some questionable roads to some amazing view points. Highly recommended

We took the English Lake Tour on 11, October 2023. Our guides were excellent, the driver Sandra, and the narrator Julian [hope my spelling is correct] (an archivist, historian, and academic). This was a day filled with 10 lakes, many sites, informative history, and great insights. The tour included a lake cruise on Windermere! Our guides were personable, accommodating, and had insightful discussions regarding plant life, history of National Trust lands, sheep farming, and many other topic. There was another couple on this tour, so 4 in total, feeling like a private tour. Excellent value!

Great day in the Lakes seeing places away from the usual routes. Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable and friendly. Very glad we booked as some of the roads were very narrow.

Most excellent tour with the two friendliest and most knowledgeable tour guides. More than just knowledgeable they were experts, academic level insights into the Lake District and the Brontë family, but never stuffy or boring. Can’t recommend highly enough. A fine mix of local lore, literary background, and topography.

The whole experience was fabulous, the guide and driver where fantastic very knowledgeable we would do it again.

Great combination of driver and tour guide. Excellent, informative and fun. Smaller group/minibus and great local knowledge meant we could go along the smaller roads and tracks and see more interesting areas, and pull into small lay-byes for photo opportunities unlike the coach sized tours. Would recommend it as a great day out. Guide was knowledgeable but never boring, with lots of humour and fun. Driver was excellent and handled the smallest of roads and steepest of inclines without any bother. Great time, great trip.

Steve was an excellent guide with a vast knowledge of the area, history and how the local industries have evolved over time. We visited many beautiful sites within the Lake District and Steve expertly navigated the route to each. This tour was a highlight of our trip to England, I highly recommend it.
