About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 434sadied0 contributionsBusybus cancelled my tourI was booked for Yorkshire dales. I booked hotel and train. Days before the trip it was cancelled by this company. Too late to cancel the hotel and train, would never use Busybus company again.Written July 14, 2024

- Sightsee083380527340 contributionsAmazing! We never had a holiday but wanted something special for my son and me. This day out was perfect! The views we seen the things we learnt were amazing! Should a fantastic place to go would definitely go again! The driver Adrian was so lovely, thoughtful and helpful. He couldn't have been faulted. He made the experience brilliant for everyone all was included and all had so much fun. The trip was very thought out , even the music and information was organised to fix when we were at certain places! Brilliant! Didn't feel like we just got on a bus and was driven around. Adrian by the end of the trip felt like a friend and I am so grateful for the way he was with my 9 year old son. The people we met were also so lovely. Would love to do a Christmas trip ! Christmas music going ! Fun and laughter! Will watch out for something like that! Thanks again busybus! We will see you againWritten October 29, 2023
- P1665GZninaf0 contributionsHighly recommend this tour bus, amazing day experience!I took my parents who were visiting me from Spain on the tour to the Lake District and it was simply AMAZING. Our tour guide Frank was so lovely, passionate, thoughtful, attentive and taught us many interesting facts and history points throughout the journey. This tour is everything that you could want from a tour. It’s interactive, comfortable, interesting, beautiful and you cover so many different gorgeous spots and places! We took so many pictures and we are looking forward to going onto the next tour with Busy Bus either to Wales or Yorkshire. I definitely recommend them! :)Written September 26, 2023
- B3034BUvickys0 contributionsLake DistrictGood trip, but wish we had longer at each stop very tight schedule, 20 minutes, apart from lunch, one and quarter hours, also could have done with stop between destination,as at 76 years old needed the toilet, and was apprehensive the last half hour weather I’d make it😖I did fortunately.Driver Lee was pleasant and informative.Written July 4, 2023
- Pinballsurgery0 contributionsScotland Adventure from GreenockWe had a great day with Mark out driver, despite the Scottish weather! The bus met us from the ship and was easy to find, heck Mark even knew who we were before we had even reached him. The mini coach was comfortable (a bit warm but heigh ho the weather was mad hot one minute raining the next) and timely at all stops including getting us back to the ship on the dot. It always helps when you have a good group of passengers with you but so does preparation, smooth driving and a good itinerary. We saw castles, lochs and even a surprise monster 😆, we felt that the driver had gone above and beyond to make us happy and you can’t say fairer than that. Cheaper and better than the cruise lines efforts we had a great day out 5*Written May 10, 2023
- 192gillianp0 contributionsA really nice day out.We had a lovely day up to the Lakes with Shelly driving the mini bus. It was a busy day with many destinations within the Lakes fitted in for us to see. We were lucky to have a dry sunny day for the trip.Written April 7, 2023

- MrsKav180 contributionsTour Cancelled four months after payment - too late to make other arrangementsBooked a tour of Chester from Liverpool in early March 2022 for mid July 2022. Five months in advance. After we left on our vacation, and were already overseas, week before tour was to take place, we were informed by email that the trip had been cancelled by BusyBus Learned later that actually when they came to rent the bus, (at the last minute) we presume, no buses were available, so we were bumped. Now they either booked at last minute, or they did not bother to inform us until it was too late for us to make other arrangements. Either way, are we at fault???? Based on other responses that is what management will try to tell you. Based on the other tours we did with this Company they are most unreliable and expensive for what you get. Now management will probably take no responsibility and they will try to argue that it is not their fault, it never is, but why not arrange the bus in March when reservations and money is taken to avoid such disappointment. They will probably try to blame me the customer for being too demanding - oh, my. We probably will never get back to this part of the world, and would have looked for another tour if we had known in time. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE with BusyBus. Are we being too demanding to ask that we receive what we pay for? You decide. Do you really want to deal with a company who takes NO accountability? We got our money back without any issue, and we appreciate that but we do want to warn others of the lack of professionalism of this company. We would appreciate a response on these boards from management - we appreciate your comments and will look into it so others are not disappointed.Written September 11, 2022
- tonysM9017CO0 contributionsGreat day out around Yorkshire !!!We went on this great trip on 30th June. Although the weather could have been kinder, it didn't stop us from having a great day out. Stuart (our driver) was so friendly and his knowledge of Yorkshire was incredible and certainly kept us entertained throughout the journey with his tales and music of Yorkshire. We passed through some beautiful countryside and little Yorkshire villages with stop offs at little tea shops and pubs !! Thank you Stuart for a wonderful day. We would certainly recommend this trip.Written July 31, 2022
- kbrun20 contributionsThe beauty of North WalesLovely day tour or North Wales with Adrian our guide. We looked for black sheep all day as Adrian played a game that kept us all engaged. We saw so much of the countryside and drove through Snowdonia National Park. Had a lovely outdoor stop with wonderful views and a waterfall. Visited Conwy Castle and had some time for shopping. Great tour, great guide.Written May 14, 2022

- blighter480 contributionsTaste of CheshireWhat a way to spend an evening . We were picked up at forest holidays Delamere by Adrian last night and driven to the Chester Fields and given a guided tour of the area with a fabulous view of Liverpool all lit up . On arrival we had the surprise of meeting alpaca’s at Rack and Ruin to my friend Helen’s delight .We were then introduced to Tom and Paul at Chester Fields where we had a delicious sharing board and the chef had pulled out all the stops creating a vegan board too . The local produce was delicious and unknown to us we also had 2 boards of gorgeous desserts including a vegan selection too. Adrian came to join us for a talk about all the locally sourced food and then he drive us back telling ghost stories on the way . He was a great host thank you from the posh yam -yams .Written February 9, 2022

A really good tour, lots of stops and photo opportunities. Snowdonia was amazing and the views and scenery were breathtaking definitely the highlight of the trip.
Frank was nice very enthusiastic talked far to much for us. Our ears were ringing after we left would of liked a bit less chat and a chance to rest on the drive to Wales and back from Chester. He literally didn’t stop talking the whole way. We did the Lake District tour with Shelley and it was better because she talked and gave information but also allowed for some quiet time too.
You will definitely not have any time to rest your ears on this trip, despite this we had a good time.

A minibus tour to North Wales from Chester - booked November ‘23 for tour in early June ‘24.
Very excited ! Had done an 11 day and another one day minibus tour with other companies already on this trip.
Why book a minibus tour? Because that was exactly what WE wanted!
We were shocked and upset when a huge coach turned up late at Chester station - almost completely full ( and to make it worse, with about 20 teenage school students!!)
THIS was not what we had booked and paid for and looked forward to.
We were very annoyed that NOBODY from the company had bothered to contact us to advise of this big change.
What did we do ? We contacted the company by email immediately asking why we had not been informed and explaining our extreme disappointment that we were on this huge coach.
The tour destinations were of course beautiful, the tour guide excellent and sympathetic, no complaints about that, except that of course we couldn’t enjoy the advertised ‘off the beaten track’ experience only possible in a minibus!
The responses in emails from the company got worse and worse. We were shocked to be treated so dismissively and with such disrespect and dishonesty.
They simply justified themselves saying a large coach was ‘an upgrade’ and made statements that claimed ‘off the beaten track ‘ meant places other tours don’t take you, ( which is contrary to their advertised information).
No matter how we explained the very different and , to us, far more enjoyable experience you have on a minibus in comparison to a huge coach, they insinuated we were making a fuss about nothing.
All we wanted was an apology and for them to admit that we should have been informed of the change from what we had booked, giving us the option to cancel. That would have been satisfactory.
I’m sure if we had been given the vehicle we booked for our tour We would have had nothing to complain about, but others who also book minibus tours will fully understand why we are so upset with the company for just ignoring our order and then being so dishonest and dismissive when we made a complaint.
All I can say is BusyBus is a very rude, dishonest, unprofessional company who need to wake up to the fact that customers actually know what they want and book what they want.
I hope they learn from this so nobody else is as disappointed as we are.
I have no doubt that they will respond justifying themselves, but I am a genuinely disappointed customer, who has been completely honest about our experience.

There are no words!
We did everything we could to passify this client with her "complaint" that was clearly contrived to extract a refund from us.
Not supplying her with a specific vehicle, in a specific colour, with a defined seating configuration is a remarkable, and unique "complaint".
She even threatened a "poor review" unless we refunded her.
Here's the poor review!
Please note the other review from her travelling companion.

Shelly was a wonderful driver and guide. She built great rapport with us (eleven of us all) and we much enjoyed the facts and snippets of personal stories she incorporated into her talks. Shelly was absolutely knowledgeable and her sense of humour was really fun.

We did 2 trips over the bank holiday weekend - one to North Wales with Peter and the other to the Lake District with Franck. Absolutely fantastic trips - friendly, informative guides looking after the entire group and with a great sense of humor. Difficult to choose who was the better guide, both are equally brilliant and kept us entertained throughout the trip. Definitely coming back soon for the Yorkshire trip.

We did this trip with Shelley who was so full of information and tells the history of the area in such an entertaining way!! This was a great way to see lots of North Wales and the scenery in the Snowdonia National Park was stunning. We also visited Conwy which we loved amongst other places and there was plenty of time to take photos/wander around at each stop. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see plenty in a short time. Worth every penny. Thank you to Shelley, you were great!

I did a Northern Wales tour today. Gerry was our guide and I hope BB appreciates him! Yes, Wales is pretty, but Gerry made the day. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, engaging, flexible, open to (and encouraging of) questions. He was respectful and thoughtful the whole (long) day. He really is a type of person you’d keep as a pal.
One person on our tour expressed interest in buying some Welsh whiskey to bring home. Gerry told him where to get it during our lunch stop. Upon return to the bus after lunch, Gerry had bought a bottle of the whiskey for the person just in case he hadn’t been able to find it at the recommended shop during our free time. I mean, he was so thoughtful. I really appreciate this type of attention to other people.
Thank Gerry! I wish you a great summer!

This tour is a fun way to see the major sites of North Wales up close. We had lots of time to explore each site, and the bus ride was both scenic and comfortable. The activities are suitable for anyone.
Our tour guide was Frank, and he was very knowledgeable and entertaining!! I would definitely recommend and hope to try some of the other excursions.

If entrance to the Conwy Castle is by timed ticket admission, how do I know what time the bus will get there so I can buy my admission ticket in advance?
Written August 24, 2021
You just pray you are lucky and they allow you to get in without booking. When we went it was closed for lunch therefore didn't get in. Its not possible to time your visit to the castle.

Hi me and my wife are very interested in your day trip, I have a couple of questions, on your north wales tour there are 8 stops. At these stops are the travellers allowed to leave the van to have a wander around or take some photos of the scenery ect or is it a full nine hours spent sat in the bus/van?
Any help with this enquiry would be much appreciated
Regards
Anthony
