I decided to treat my girlfriend for her Birthday and take her to Cambridge for the weekend and decided to book a private punting tour with let’s go punting. We had a lovely boat ride down the river and had a very knowledgeable tour guide by the name of josh (Guru) who explained the history behind kings college etc.. and was very good at answering any questions that we had. Unlike a few of the other tour guides that we saw whilst on the river as none of them seemed to be talking much to their customers. We had a great time and would highly recommend giving it a go if you haven’t done it before. You can also take your own food and drink on the boats with you. We decided to go out on the evening as the river was much calmer and not so many boats about. It’s best to book in advance as it does sell out quickly and there is no guarantee on the day weather you can just turn up and get a booking. Thank you to Let’s go punting we will definitely be back soon.

There are so many punting companies in Cambridge, it’s hard to pick one but I had heard great reviews of Let’s Go and their prices are very competitive, with more slot options than some other companies.
I wasn’t disappointed - I booked a private tour at sunset, when the river is more quiet, and it was a lovely evening. Charles was very friendly and knowledgeable, great at navigating the boat around the much less-expert but very enthusiastic people on self-hire punts!
Would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a great punting experience.

I know this is the touristy thing to do in Cambridge. However for once my experience lived up to my expectations. Booked a private tour for two, the time on the river was excellent and was very relaxing with some fabulous views of the colleges. We had already done a walking tour so this give us another prospective again. James G our guide/punter was excellent giving great commentary throughout out with out going over the top or being boring. Made a relaxing trip even better with some very beautiful architecture and natural surroundings to admire. Well worth the money and the company’s communications excellent pre booking. We punted on Monday morning which was fantastic a lot more relaxing than what I witnessed on Saturday, which was very busy. Weather was also kind to us.

We had never visited Cambridge before so me and my partner decided to embark on a punting tour with Let’s Go Punting. Our tour guide Arthur made it that extra bit special as it was our first time in the city. He was very welcoming and through through out the tour was very detailed with the history and the surrounding buildings we passed, the ride was smooth and we would definitely recommend Arthur as a tour guide.

My girlfriend and i went to Cambridge on the 17th July 2021 with our intention on going on a punt trip with "Let's go punting". It was a private boat including our guide called Charles, he was brilliant and his knowledge of the colleges were 2nd to none.
While on the trip I gave Charles the wink that I was going to propose to my girlfriend and I asked him if he could pull up somewhere that was most scenic which he did do, alongside Kings Collage, great spot. I asked if he could take a snap of my partner and I standing up with the collage in the background then after a few snaps that's when I got on one knee...the cheers and applause around us were fantastic, also the drinks boat came alongside and gave us a bottle of prosecco (what a nice thing to do) cheers guys!! Charles our guide, well what a fantastic fellow he is, great guide, great punter and a very good snapper with the phone camera

Really enjoyed out private punt along the river. Our guide Josh was extremely amiable and very knowledgable, even providing recommendation of where to go for lunch. He knew all about the history of the University and Colleges and delivered his commentary with a good sense of humour. Easy to find and very well organised. Would definitely recommend. Would suggest booking a early morning punt as the river got really busy later on.

My partner booked us on a punting trip which I had always wanted to do .. I wasn’t disappointed I really enjoyed the whole experience our guide was called Ben and what a delightful polite young man he is , full of knowledge throughout the whole trip extremely polite and friendly really cannot recommend doing this enough and be sure to ask for Ben to make the trip extra special .. my only disappointment was not seeing anyone fall in but what can I say that’s the devil In me haha !!

We had a great time on our Private Punting Tour. Tom G ensured we had a smooth ride, which was very informative as well as entertaining. Booking online beforehand was really easy and we were able to leave our buggy with the cashier on the riverbank. Would definitely recommend.

I loved the punting with my Grandchildren, my youngest Grandson was thrilled to see such a variety of birds on the water. The journey was peaceful, tranquil and very relaxing even when accompanied by four young boys! The ambience of calm captured each of them as they quietly absorbed all that they saw around them. My eldest, aged 12, particularly enjoyed the commentary about the history of the colleges, shared with us by Matt C our punter who was exemplary throughout the whole trip. We thought he was fantastic, Thank you Matt!

We took my American cousins on a private punting tour. They were delighted with the whole experience, as were we. Matt, our chauffeur, was lovely. He kept us entertained with stories and the history of the colleges whilst somehow directing his 6'9" frame under the bridges! We can understand why one of the bridges is nicknamed the "concussion bridge"! Would highly recommend.
