Wonderful walking tour with Rita a current PhD student who also received an undergrad and Master's degree from Cambridge. Despite the bitter cold it was an enjoyable tour and we felt we learned much about the history of the college.

Informative and well organized introduction to Cambridge
The tour guide was pleasant and very diligent about important details such as whether we were all where we were supposed to be at given moments. Informative. Profoundly "academic," but I guess that goes with the territory. I would recommend this tour and this guide to anyone trying to get a sense of Cambridge.

Thorough and interesting tour, for the whole family
Rita our tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging. It was great to have someone who experienced Cambridge as a student (three times over) give us the ins and outs of the city and its colleges. The pace was easy enough for my five year old to keep up but the two hours went by quickly and we covered a good amount of ground. I would recommend the free tour, but make sure to tip the guide as they’re volunteers and I’m sure it’s awkward for them to ask for tips at the end.

    Guided Tour of Cambridge
The tour guide was named Sophie. Excellent tour guide. Gave the group short History lessons at the start and as we went round. Excellent knowledge of Cambridge being a resident. Excellent knowledge regarding the University and Faculties. Great walk round the City with insights as we went along. A two hour walk with with a fantastic guide. For those old enough ser the pub where Punk Floyd started. Learn lots about King's, Queens and Parliament involvement. Great tour. Excellent guide.

My sister and I booked onto a social distanced walking tour of Cambridge on Saturday and it was brilliant. Our guide Sonya was extremely knowledgeable about the university and the town with some very interesting unique facts which added great fun to the tour.
I would definitely recommend a walking tour which can be done safely and in a fun way when so much else is closed to the public. This was a highlight of our weekend away.

A superb tour. We took a group of Year 12 school children on a trip to Cambridge and as part of this were toured by Sonya for 2 hours. It was a perfectly pitched private tour of all the Cambridge colleges and sights around Cambridge featuring plenty of information about the founding of the colleges, the troubles & tribulations, along with famous alumni of each college. Hearing the stories of Nobel prize winning scientists at Cavendish College, the founding of the Cambridge University Press and seeing the son of Newton's Apple Tree were genuine highlights.

Holding the interest of 10 teenagers for 2 hours is no mean feat and Sonya was excellent. I can't think of a single thing that could be improved and I would thoroughly recommend this tour

From Henry, our fantastic and knowledgeable guide, to Henry VIII, this tour packs a lot of history about Cambridge, it's many colleges, and it's influence on society. Henry was very accommodating, never feeling rushed, and took the time to show us important details around the city. This was the perfect way to see Cambridge for the first time and experience it's rich past. A huge thanks!

We were very impressed by the knowledge and friendly interaction shown by our guide Dr Sonya, who is an academic with experience of working at Cambridge university. She made us feel welcome immediately, sprinkling the factual content of her tour with well selected anecdotes and historical vignettes. The walk encompassed a number of colleges, the Backs and some picturesque bridges, culminating in a visit to the King's College Chapel, whose memorable Evensong service was recommended by the guide.

My daughter and I booked a prospective student private tour. Cristina our guide did a wonderful job of blending the history and general information about the university with direct information relevant to prospective students. As a phd student in engineering Cristina painted a clear picture of student life, some differences between the colleges and good general advice too. Can’t recommend this highly enough! Very helpful!

This was an incredible experience thanks to tour guide Annabelle. The two hour walking tour involved walking around the streets of Cambridge past all of the different colleges under the umbrella of Cambridge University as well as some famous Cambridge sites. There were plenty of opportunities to stop and have a look around and take photos and learn about the site that we were looking at. Annabelle made the tour very fun with lots of interesting and quirky facts about the different sites. The tour went for a perfect amount of time - not too long, not too short - and we felt as though we saw a lot of beautiful Cambridge, and it was a great way to spend our time!

Did a guided tour incl. King's College Chapel. Our guide - Rosa - was simply amazing, she gave us (the group was of 4 people) a good overview about Cambridge and its history , told us about the life there as a student and showed us around. I enjoyed every single minute and highly recommend this tour. Thanks a lot to Rosa for this experience. (Mandy)

We joined the Footprints Walking Tour in Cambridge on 30.12.2023.
It was excellent!
Our tour guide Sonja is very knowledgeable. Being the local and student herself, she knows the history of Cambridge very well.
The walking tour is definitely a good introduction before we explore the town ourselves after the tour!
