About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Patricia M0 contributionsFun way to tour Bath!Best tour guide ever! Dan brought in stories from Bridgerton with local lore. Showed us scenes from the show on his iPad and how modern aspects were hidden. Very easy to talk to and we played quiz where anyone could guess the right answer. Would definitely recommend!Written October 28, 2024
- ItchyFeet323120 contributions3 of us off to the Cotswolds! We had the most enjoyable day with Daniel Hancock as our guide. He allowed time to account for our individual interests while providing an amusing and complete tour. He’s a great driver and terrific company. Don’t hesitate to book him.Written October 28, 2024
- 551jessib0 contributionsWell knowledgeable and personal tour!Dan provided such a warm and personal tour! Very knowledgeable throughout our tour and was able to show us off the beaten path. He was willing to detour to show us new things as well. We shared such a wonderful afternoon in Glastonbury and had a clean and comfortable car. I would love to have another tour with him in the future!Written October 27, 2024
- donjfarr0 contributionsHighest marks we can give!First, Bath is a wonderful place to visit, and we highly recommend it. Now, on to Bath Insider Tours. Without going into super deep details, we can only say that Daniel was a treat to spend a couple of days with. As a native of Bath, he has a deep affection and appreciation for the city and the surrounding areas coupled with a great understanding of its history and culture. Daniel also carries a "bag of tricks" with him that turns a walking tour into a mulit-media experience. He will pull out photos, videos, and music to animate his commentary. Actually, commentary is not a good word, it is story telling the entertains and enlightens at the same time. We give Bath Insider Tours our highest recommendation without reservation.Written October 24, 2024
- jillkp5100 contributionsHIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Daniel made the day amazingly fun and educational. Very personalized and enjoyable!Written October 20, 2024

- M791FOamyd0 contributionsBath with DanielAbsolutely! Here's a short paragraph you can share with your guide: "We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our walking tour of Bath! Daniels knowledge of the city's history, combined with his engaging storytelling, made the tour both educational and fun. We appreciated how he brought Bath’s rich heritage to life and kept the whole group entertained throughout. Thank you for making our visit to this beautiful city so memorable!"Written October 6, 2024
- N5946ZMnaomif0 contributionsAn afternoon delightThe tour was a delight. Daniel drove us along the narrow backroads of the Cotswolds and surrounding area, taking us to Lacock, Castle Combe, and a quaint little B&B for tea, before dropping us off. The rides and tours of the towns were made thoroughly enjoyable through his wit and knowledge of the area. The length of the tour was perfect, nestled between lunch and dinner, yet long enough to get a good sense of the area. The cream tea at the end was the best we had on the trip.Written October 6, 2024
- mikebQ998VG0 contributionsFabulous GuideDaniel was absolutely fabulous in guiding us to and through Stonehenge. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable on every aspect of Stonehenge and made the entire tour fun, interesting and enlightening. And he has quite a sense of humor as well. We can’t recommend him highly enough.Written October 2, 2024
- F5599IIamym0 contributionsFascinating and entertaining!Fascinating and entertaining tour of historic and interesting sites. Daniel is a most knowledgeable native guide who gives lots of special touches and a well-paced tour.Written September 28, 2024
- Harletta0 contributionsVery personable and knowledgeable guide to a fantastic site!We had a wonderful afternoon! We have wanted to see Stonehenge for years, and it did not disappoint. Dan’s knowledge of the site, and stories and history enhanced our experience. He explained many things we would not have known on our own, and made it come to life. Highly recommend any time with him, but particularly a trip to Stonehenge.Written September 20, 2024
- Twinkletoes_svk0 contributionsIf you want to have a great tour - BOOK WITH DANIEL!!!I really don't have the words for how amazing Daniel was. I booked the Bath and Stonehenge tour with the Salisbury Cathedral add on for day one and the South Cotswolds with the Mamesbury Abbey for day two. Our group consisted of 5 adults ranging ages 40 - 79. He is so incredibly knowledgeable about all things Bath, was super helpful in advising other things to do, hot spots to visit, where to eat and just generally adjusting itineraries so we could pack in as much as possible. All that being said, it really was the extra care and attention that he gave my parents to make sure they were doing ok with the walking and stairs, that lunch stops were extra careful with food allergies, checked in frequently on bathroom needs, etc that really puts Daniel at THE TOP of tour guides I have experienced, and he is genuinely an exceptional human being. If you are thinking about booking with him - don't hesitate - he will NOT disappoint.Written September 18, 2024
- Donald_Nute0 contributionsGreat day trips from BathWe’ve done many private tours throughout Europe. This was among the best. Daniel was knowledgeable and considerate. He made some major adjustments to accommodate us and our interests. We will recommend him to all our friends who travel.Written September 16, 2024
- Judy F0 contributionsOff the beaten tourist trailsWe engaged Daniel for our 40th anniversary celebration, opting for the Wells and Cheddar Tour. So glad we sidestepped the busy Cotswolds for a ride through the countryside to the smallest city in England. Daniel is the consummate tour guide and traveler extraordinaire. Having toured around the world, he has a keen sensibility for timing, pace, information and detail (but not too much) that made our experience just right for us. Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace were architectural marvels. We loved the up-close tour and tastes at an authentic Cheddar Cheese maker, complete with take-home cheeses that have been cured in nearby Cheddar caves. We also enjoyed a special treat in a stop at a local strawberry farm, plus a decadent brownie treat along the way. The finale of the day was a short but rocky hike up to the top of Cheddar Gorge for a panoramic view all the way out to the Sea. Daniel was attentive, responsive, friendly, and professional. The van was impeccably clean, all the way down to the windows, which he shined upon our pickup! Dan is high in demand, so be sure to book several months ahead of your trip. He raises the bar for warm and personal travel. Highly recommended!Written September 15, 2024
- sharonsO4852TI0 contributionsExcellent tour with a knowledgeable guideDaniel provided knowledgeable and entertaining historical background for our tour of Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge. He customized a half day for my group and was a delightful companion!Written September 14, 2024
