- swamyjviss0 contributionsAn experience to go through in Golden Sky BridgeA frightening but adventures experience. This hanging bridge is about 280 feet above the valley in the Rockies town side of GOLDEN in British Columbia Canada. it is about 140 meters across. Entered the bridge and it was good till you reach 40 meters. You will feel the bridge slightly shaky thereafter. And I did not look down but kept on going holding the rope on both sides. crossed over to the other side with a sigh of relief. Children and younger people are crossing it effortlessly. What they don't tell you that to come back you have to cross a similar bridge about 120 meters long or cross the deep valley by zip line. Ha Ha Ha There is a Roller coaster and park and mini zip line for children there. The journey back through the shorter bridge was not as nervy as the first crossing as you are already used to it once.Written December 6, 2024

- Bohemian_me840 contributionsView was beautifulIt’s an easy and very pretty attraction . Bridges are well Organized as each bridge is just one way traffic so you don’t have to pass anyone going back in that tiny little bridge . View is amazing , and totally worth it . Working many years in customer service I only wish that people forking there were more friendly . I would spend more Money at the gift shop but those two girls obv didn’t care much . Also nicer selection of postcards would be nice , it was only one kind available And people Still Like to send those when they travel .Written October 10, 2024

We enjoyed the views of the mountains and Kicking Horse River and the short walks over the Skybridge and through the forest. It was entertaining to watch all the activities. If we return to Golden we’ll be sure to try some of them. The facility was very clean, well laid-out and the staff friendly and helpful.Written September 27, 2024

The thrill of walking across the suspension bridges, high above the scenic landscapes, is unparalleled. For those looking for a full adventure, I recommend getting the Adventure Pass, which I didn’t have this time, but it seems to include more exciting activities and attractions. Just a heads-up: it can take some time to drive from Banff, so plan your trip accordingly. Overall, it’s an excellent place to visit, providing a perfect mix of natural beauty and adrenaline-pumping excitement!Written September 26, 2024

Beautiful new attraction, priced fairly, especially if you have younger kids who will love the beautiful and exciting treetop play park. They had live music going and the food truck food looked good although we didn’t try it since we came right after lunch.
The bridges are not for the faint of heart. The height is one thing but it was very busy when we were there and the bridge was swinging a lot which made it extremely nerve wracking. I’m not normally scared of heights and I did the suspension bridges in Kelowna 2 years ago with no issues but these took a few years off my life haha. One of the workers mentioned they would be hiring more people to monitor the number of people going on the bridge at once which I think would make it less scary and more enjoyable to know it was being monitored.
Overall I would definitely recommend. Next time I would plan to have lunch there as well.

As a local resident I was pleased to get a seasons pass at the preview weekend. The park is wonderful, the bridges a little scary and the views spectacular. As a kid I fished those pools at the bottom of the falls after hiking up the creek.
Now in July I have brought our out of town visitors to the Skybridge number of times, probably 10 people already and more to come this long weekend. I hope you continue to offer a deal for locals as it encourages people to bring their out of town guests. Great set up, great staff and exciting new attractions to come. I wish you success and can't wait as more features are added

Overall it is a very cool, unique parkI You must be ok with heights! If you don't like to do all of the adventures you still pay for all. My 14 yr old son didn't want to do the zipline after he saw it goes over the open canyon, I asked if I could go instead and was told I'd have to upgrade to full adventure pass. Also no refund for him because he had already used his ticket for the climbing challenge course. Also he did not get to throw axes because you had to be 16 which you only learn when you are actually there, I couldn't find anything on the website that states that. I eventually upgraded at the golden hour to an adventure pass so I could zipline with my daughter but that's all I did so I paid for the other attractions as well and never did any. We tried to do the axe throwing but when we got there it was closed! We were told they were short staffed and had to close early! You can't bring your own food in and the prices are quite high and very limited selection for an actual meal. The one compliment I have is for two senior staff who helped me upgrade to the adventure pass because it was sold out for the day when I asked to upgrade. They told me they had a workaround and got me the ticket that I used for the zipline only. 2 insider tips - If you are told the lines for attractions are up to 2 hours they are likely much less, they seem to overestimate for their own reasons? You can go on attractions more than once especially if its not that crowded. We went in at 2pm and stayed until 7pm

Six of us booked tickets to walk across the new Skybridge. Great thrills. Lots of folks trying to sway the bridge and it was much appreciated that a staff member stopped that reasonably promptly.
Quite busy and definitely would have expected more washrooms to be open. The main washroom facility was closed when we were there and two cubicles in the women's small temporary unit were out of order......long line ups and wasted time for it being such a new attraction.
Three in the group decided to pay extra for the treetops adventure......definitely took way longer than the 30-45 mins referenced, but they had great fun. If there was a place selling coffee (or beer!) across the bridge that would have been perfect way to pass the 1.5 hours waiting for them to be done! Overall, was something different and has great potential as they continue to open new activities.

Bought tickets for my family online. Had to pick a time to arrive. We picked 3:30pm as we were driving in from Calgary on the way home to Vancouver and we didn’t know if we could get there earlier. THE TIME MEANS NOTHING. We got to Golden earlier and puttered around town til then. When we arrived we asked about the time and the host said the time isn’t for you, it’s for us to know when people are coming! So we could have come earlier and did a few more things. They are disorganized and you really don’t know how long you’re going to have to wait for the activities.
We got the kids the adventure pass and my wife and I just got the general admission. The line for the challenge course was estimated to be over an hour long and so we waited there with our kids. There was a family of 14 ahead of us and like previous reviewers said, there is not limit to how long they could stay. So we continued to wait and wait as there is a capacity limit to the challenge course. There should be a limit to how long you can go on the challenge course as there many people waiting to go on the course. The only person who seemed to care was Mike the supervisor. He was very sympathetic to our situation and did his best to keep us updated. He is what a good customer service person should be. He did the best with what he was able to do.
The problem was with how things are run. On this trip we also visited the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. There things were run smoothly. You sign up for a time and they will text you when they are ready for you. You didn’t have to sit there and wait in line. You could have done other activities or get a bite to eat.
Another gripe with the Golden Skybridge was that most of the activities were actually closed at 7:15pm. The only thing you could do after that was walk both sky bridges. Imagine if you paid for the Golden Hour (Enter at 5pm) for a small discount, but you have no time to do anything. Either you can line up at the Challenge Course ir go to the Zip Line. My kids only did the challenge course and the zip line and we arrived at 3:30pm. They weren’t able to go to the climbing wall. They’re too young for the ace throw (which they were allowed to do at Revelstoke). So for the price of an adventure pass, they got to do only the challenge course and zip line and walk the suspension bridge. Not good value for the money.

The Golden Skybridge tickets were included in our Pursuit Pass package, so we decided to go from Lake Louise to check it out. It's about an hour drive (but longer depending on traffic and construction). The temperature at the city of Golden was much higher, in fact, hot in the upper 90's when it was in the low 70's in LL. We learned that the tickets only included the basic entrance, which pretty much was walking across the two skybridges and a loop around the park. What it did not include is the extra rides like the roller coaster, zip-line, challenge course, etc. You have to pay another $20 dollars per person to participate in these extra activities (which we frankly didn't think was worth it). So, the tickets were merely for the entry, walk around the park and the two skybridges. The skybridges were nice and had secnice views, but they weren't worth the hour drive. If you have kids and have a day to spare to do something different, perhaps it may be worth it, but for us, we were left disappointed. (They have a small cafe and picnic tables, but we're not sure if you can bring in your own food.) Had we known all this, we would have passed on the Golden Skybridge. For us, it simply was not worth the drive, time and effort.

Fabulous views, easy walk to bridges, The bridges are high and definitely bouncy so do not go if you dont like heights and or heights that move. There is a really nice playground that kids can burn off some steam either before or after doing the bridges(you must pay for the bridge to enjoy play ground). You do have to walk a fair bit and some of it is on an incline so may not be great for some seniors or people with mobility issues. I saw lots of kids doing it so that is not a concern unless they freak at heights. The event is very clear that they don't do refunds. I first went on the bridge with a large group of people, the second bridge had no one . I found the experience more enjoyable with less people on the bridge so if you can, wait a minute for the crowd to thin, or go at at less busy time. The only washrooms on site are on the other side of the ticket booth, while I did hear staff allowing people to use them who were not going on the bridge they asked them to promise to come right back so maybe hit the washrooms before heading to the site. There is a really good food truck on site, but it is pricy, and again the only food option, so you may want to eat elsewhere if with kids or budget is concern.

My friend and I decided last minute to go and check this place out while staying outside of Golden.
We read online the FAQs and prepared ourselves for the day. We did not buy tickets in advance so went into the ticket line. We were told to scan the QR code to fill out the waiver ahead of buying tickets to speed up the process (DO THIS!) Even if it’s just the skybridge you are doing, you still have to sign the waiver and get weighed at the booth per safety protocols. MANY people did not pay attention to filling out the waiver while standing in line and grinded all movement to a hault multiple times.
We paid for the coaster pack for the skybridge and coaster ride (gives you 2 rides), and I went on a solo canyon swing (what a blast!!) The canyon swing event has a camera recording your face and your POV that you can purchase online for $30 afterwards if you want, and there are multiple picture spots you can have your photo taken and later pay to get them if you want. (If you’ve been on Mexico excursions this is similar).
Pros: Very cool, lots to do and see, can easily spend all day out there if you want, walk around enjoy the weather and explore.
Cons: parking was brutal, no one paying attention to how parking was done and lots of wasted space, people not listening to basic rules/instructions (need staff to assist in the waiver process while in line), wait times for the activities can be long.
In reality, this is an amusement park. Fully expect it to feel that way for lines and organization, however, we had an absolute great time, and recommend checking it out even if it is just to walk around the two bridges a few times and enjoy the view!

The bridges alone are worth the price of admission, but if you want to do all the add-on activities, it can get pretty pricey. And as a heads up, they apparently used to, but don't any more offer single rides on the mountain coaster, but don't any more and have to buy a 3 pack, so even though we attended on a Wed afternoon, it was packed, and the lines to most activities were 30-60min long. So when you're forced to pay for a 3-run pass for the mountain coaster, it's pretty crazy and time consuming to actually sit around in the lines and wait up to 1hr each time for the 2min ride down the mountain. Don't get me wrong, the actual ride is fantastic and my little 4 year old loved it, but considering we only did 1 run, it was a very expensive run. They do have 'wait times' on a chalkboard at the front gate which gives you an idea, but if you've come all this way, chances are you're not just going to turn around and not enter and pay.

The Golden Skybridge is well worth the visit but is not for those with a fear of heights unless they feel like a challenge. The canyon the bridge crosses is pretty wide and the bridge does wobble and bounce a bit as you cross. It is worth making the journey across because the views are stunning and it's completely safe! For those who want to the return journey can be made via zip line which I highly recommend because it is so fun. Safety is taken very seriously by all the staff and our patience for waiting in an hour long line was rewarded with a thrilling return trip across the gorge. Get there early to avoid queues.

How early is early admission?
What are the park hours?
Is it less crowded early in the morning or late afternoon/early evening?
