- 43toddc00Great Cable Car Ride and Amazing ViewsCable car up to the top was amazing. Such a great view of Vancouver down below. It wasn't a sunny day and it was snowing once we got to the top. It was out of season so wasn't too busy. There was an ice rink. Staff were shovelling ice off the paths ready for the Peak of Christmas. The bears were hibernating. There was an incredible view past the bear den of the snowy mountains on the horizon. Probably not much to do here unless you're skiing.
- Fuzzy K00Cool BearsWe spent a nice day at Grouse. The air tram to get to the mountain was nice. We went to the lumberjack show which was very entertaining and funny. Bird show was informative. Great to see the different birds up close The grizzly habitat was fun. Coola and Grinder were great! Probably the highlight for me. We saw a ranger give a talk about the bears. Skyride to the lookout point was very scenic. Food was good at the BBQ place on site.
- CzarEmmanuel00Good for trekking and mountain viewGrouse Mountain is one of the peaks near Vancouver you can go on a day trip just to relax and commune with Nature. There's a gondola ride that takes you to the summit in just four minutes. On top you'll find a welcome area with a restaurant and souvenir shop. From there you can take various trails to follow. Along the way you'll encounter some wild animals, such as deers and bears. The view from the top is spectacular! I would give this place an excellent rating except that there are too many insects flying around, so be sure to bring along some insect repellent and wear long sleeves to protect yourself.
- judydN7194SB00What an adventureThis was a great experience in the mountain ropes course. You get a great workout and see the wilderness from a different vantage point. Ladies, you need some upper body strength to complete the challenge. Yellow was fun, green was fun and a bit of a workout. Blue was very challenging. Black was a tap out.
- rust0mi00Proper exerciseRightly called the grind to walk up. But brilliant hard exercise and free entertainment on top of mountain and viewing the grizzly bears. 20 dollars in cost of return down. Apparently not allowed to walk down although some I believe do.
- WendyD7900Worth the visitWe went to dinner at the observatory at Grouse mountain which meant we could get the gondola up there included in our meal. We could only use the gondola from 4pm which suited us as we just wanted to see the bears and the views. The meal was superb, best steak I have had in a long time. Extremely good value for money. The staff were very attentive and the views were stunning.
- shanehS1894UX00THIEVES AT WORKMy family and I have started to get into snow sports after my wife and I had taken several years off. Our kids are at that perfect age now, where it makes for a great full day activity. We had decided that we should get family seasons passes for next season and were in the process of deciding on a mountain. We tried Seymour, Sasquatch and Grouse all on weekends to compare traffic both on the hill and the drives to/from On Saturday March 11th we went to Grouse and as expected it was a busy day. The lines were long, the mountain was busy, the snow was nice and we enjoyed the runs. By noon we had enjoyed ourselves and stopped for lunch at the Peak Chalet. After about 45 minutes or so we went back to hit the slopes and were shocked and appalled to find my snowboard was stolen! My 7 years old's board that was leaning against mine was lying on the ground and mine was nowhere to be seen. I immediately ran to the gondola to make sure someone wasn’t heading down with my board, but of course no one there had it. I went to the Guest services in the Peak Chalet to report it stolen. The gentleman there was friendly and very apologetic and said he could get me a premium rental to help salvage the day for our family. I got fitted and set up with a rental board. It had now been about 45-60 minutes since I noticed my board missing. I was about to leave with the rental when off to the right hand corner of the rental desk, not behind the desk, but right outside it, leaning against the wall was a snowboard that looked like mine. I went over and turned the board around and sure enough it was mine. I could tell by the bindings, and one nick on the nose of my two week old board. I asked the guys behind the desk what the hell! I said this is my board that was just stolen. The one guy said, “someone put it there around 10 minutes ago, we assumed it was a rental return.” Another guy said, “wow you’re lucky, that’s a nice board.” I left with my board, but something didn’t sit right. If my board was stolen and hour ago, how/why did someone put it in the rental shop 300 yards away, “ten minutes ago”. I don’t want to accuse anyone without any proof, but it seems very strange to me. I believe it could have been an employee(s), possibly in the rental shop that stole my board and was planning on bringing it down at the end of the day. If they leave the board to the side, not in their possession, but within their grasp, by the end of the day they could take it down the gondola when no one is around. I reported to customer relations right before we went down the mountain and the gentleman there agreed that the whole thing was rather fishy and wanted to get the rental shop manager over so I could talk to him. We were late for a family dinner, so we didn’t have time to wait. I sent an email to customer relations, he was apologetic but pretty much dismissed my concerns and said someone probably thought my shiny new board was their rental board and returned it. but not really returned it. hid it off to the side in the rental shop. Needless to say, we will not be getting passes at Grouse! Please be very carful with your property at this mountain and if you do get something stolen, check the rental shop!
- Lesh050700Great place for relaxed Skiing and enjoying the viewsA very well organised and sleek service to get to the mountain from the car parks. We used the bus and it stops right by the tram. The mountain has lots of trails and paths for all levels of skiers or you can walk through a number of paths. Compared with other ski places in the ares it is not expensive and the staff and ski school are helpful and very good. The food service is as you would expect and not overly expensive. during the week the mountain is not busy and the slopes are great. The biggest benefit is the night skiing which is until after 9PM, unlike most resorts that close at 4. It does get bust after 4 when the local residents go for a ski or snowboard but it is still not too busy.
- erice30400Long telephone wait times.I called to setup some services for a member of the Mountain. The call wait was over 30 minutes and the automated service kept saying the wait time was 1 MINUTE. This was when I was number 16 in the queue. The WAIT TIME did not change. It kept saying 1 MINUTE. I do not mind waiting but please have a more accurate method of letting a perspective customer (now number 2 position at 30 minutes) how long they potentially could be waiting.
- Tammi P00Great ExperienceI went to Vancouver all the time as a kid, having grown up in Washington, but I had never been to Grouse Mountain. My daughter and I absolutely loved it. We were there in June and it was still cold and quite snowy, which we loved. We loved the bears, the sky ride, the birds, the Beaver Tails, the movie, the lumberjack show, etc. Overall, it was a great experience and we truly enjoyed ourselves.
- mariedesjardins00Good hiking on Grouse MountainThe day we hiked Grouse Mountain it was a very warm (26c) day. The trail was packed. It took us about 1h45 to climb the over 2,000 steps on various rugged terrain and boardwalks. Once we got to the top we had cool drinks. Too bad the grizzlies were hiding out. We were happy to take the gondola down the mountain. Hikers will experience stunning views of Howe Sound and its small islands once they reach the summit.
- pramkjuj200mountain trek at Grousefrom the Gondola point, walk through the grizzly bears sanctuary and you will get to grouse mountain. the trek above will take around 45 mins and it is worth it.
- Eva M00Nice - but priceyGrouse Mountain is wonderful and the view from the top can’t be beat. But …..paying $59 (senior rate) plus tax, in the off season when several of the included attractions aren’t even open, and then paying to park on top of that, is a bit over the top opportunistic.
- donb71200Excellent way to spend the day.Seems expensive for just a gondola ride up a mountain but it was so much more. We were there for about 5 hours and left because we had a plane to catch. The mountain is really a place for many shows that are all included in one price. We attended a talk by a naturalist on bears while there were two bears roaming the enclosure behind her. She was an excellent speaker and very knowledgeable . We attended a raptor show that included five birds. Each was more amazing then the last. The first time we attended was in the late morning. We returned in the afternoon to see it again. Excellent both times. I have seen many raptor shows or demonstrations and this one was hands down the best i have seen to date. The is also a lumberjack show. I have seen many of these as well and mostly they are all pretty much the same but this one had an interesting twist. Will leave it to you to see it so I won't spoil the surprise. There is a restaurant that has good food but nothing really exceptional. The time was well spent and my wife and I enjoyed our trip to Grouse Mountain. I heard you can ever ski there in the winter.
- MarlonT00A day at Grouse mountainAmazing view at the top of the lift and inside the restaurant. Great food at the restaurant. Watch the couple of bears playing in the water inside their enclosure. It’s a great hike.

Paid for a gondola ride up for myself for my daughter (over $100). We were squeezed into the gondola car, approximately 75 people in a space for 40. At the top almost all activities are closed due to Covid. This is becoming an excuse for companies to charge full price and not provide the normal services. This ride was not worth it. Save yourself $60.00.

Hi Dee - sorry that your visit didn't meet your expectations. October is a season between high seasons, where not all summer activities are operational and we aren't open for winter activities yet. We do have the information listed on our web site as well as on site, however our team should have communicated this to you upon arrival. We will use this as a coaching opportunity to help our team ensure this doesn't happen again.

The ride up was very crowded,we managed to get a seat and a view, but the views at the end of the ride are wonderful and you can get a ski ride higher to get even a better panorama. On Grouse mountain there was a grizzly bear enclosure which was quite extensive and we saw two bears swimming and chasing each other. Plenty of viewing room. The raptor show was absolutely wonderful and there was a great log climbing/wood cutting show as well. Plenty of things to keep you occupied. Also a lovely little garden with flowers to attract bees. Well worth the trip.

Hi Banff4me,
Thanks for the sweet review and the stars!
It sounds like you had a great visit up here in our green season! Seeing our resident grizzlies, Grinder and Coola, up close is something else. I recommend it for everyone.
And you got to see the Birds in Motion show! They are so cool. I can't decide which is my favourite. Sometimes it's the falcon because of the way it swoops and flies around and other times it's the owl because of silent flight.
We hop you get the chance to come back and visit! It's the winter season now and it's beautiful.

We visited Grouse Mountain with friends and family from Ontario. I have been there a few times in the past. The price of admission has greatly increased since I visited 4 years ago and I expected so much more from the attraction, but it did not deliver. We visited on a Tuesday around noon in July. Parking was easily accessible. We had purchased discount tickets online as we paired this visit with one to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Please note that you can only redeem your QR code from another party to a paper ticket through guest services. It took us standing in line three times before someone was able to process us. The gondola ride is good and does give you some amazing views, but can be very crowded. Once on the mountain there are activities for all ages. Some are included in your admission and others like the zip line are extra. We saw the grizzly bears, lumberjack show and raptor show. All are ok, but very touristy and have not changed in years! We decided to stop for a bite to eat and this was a big disappointment. The prices are ridiculous! ($14.99 for a child’s hot dog at a take out stand!). We ended up having a very disappointing sandwich in the main building where tables with views are few. Bring a picnic lunch or snacks! A trip to the gift shop was also disappointing. My friends waited to buy souvenirs at Granville Island at half the price of those on Grouse. Grouse Mountain is considered a must-do by many visitors to Vancouver, but if I had to choose between Grouse and Capilano, Capilano would be my choice. This attraction needs to seriously update/expand its included activities to justify the steep admission price of $75 in order to attract repeat visitors. It also needs to seriously look at the quality and prices of its food services

Very very very expensive, in my opinion. In July, it's 70 dollars + taxes, per person to ride to the top (the ride back down is included). This is more expensive than the Eiffel Tower or the CN Tower of Toronto. For more perspective, this is also the price of a Disneyland ticket.
Of course, at the top, it's not just the top. You have access to some of the facilities (bathroom, cafetaria), you can even see Grizzlies for free, and attend little shows (bird shows, lumberjacks, rangers). And, of course, you have the view, which is great.
Still, if you are a couple, this is going to be 140 dollars, and I say it's way too expensive. I have had evenings in fancy restaurants for cheaper than this. For what it is, and considering how hyped it is, I believe that asking for no more than 30 bucks per person would be way more appropriate.
My personal piece of advice would be to use the stairs (the Grouse Grind), but it's not for everyone. I did it once, and it can be fun too. However, you should know that they don't allow you to climb down using the stairs (you would need to pay for a return ride)

We originally prebooked our mountain admission ticket for the day a storm flooded many parts of British Columbia , we drove to Grouse Mountain but the cable car was closed due to the rain the very friendly reception staff gave us a prompt refund . We revisited on the next sunny day - we were so glad as the conditions on top were perfect ,powder fresh snow and blue skies . We visited the day before the ski runs were open so it was busy with staff preparing everything but that didn’t detract from the beauty of Grouse Mountain . The perfect end to our British Columbia Adventure- thanks to all the Staff at Grouse Mountain

Excellent day out! A shuttle bus is included in the ticket price.Great value as once you arrive the attractions are included.Although be warned that on the gondola ride up you are packed in like sardines & there is only standing room! The chairlift was fantastic with incredible views. The lumberjack show was great fun with plenty of laughs, unfortunately when we visited the birds of prey was not operating. Seeing the rescued grizzly bears was awesome, their habitat is large, although their keeper did say they were moving to an even larger area. Plenty of choices for lunch or a snack

We had a great time on Grouse mountain - loved the Skyride , the peak chair lift ride, the lumberjack show, the ranger talks on owls and bears.
Our middle schooler loved the Mountain Ropes activity and managed to cover three courses - Green Yellow and Blue although the Black was a bit tough for him. His guide Alanna was very skilled, encouraging and supportive. Would highly recommend newbies and anyone with hesitancies to request her as a guide. Alanna helps builds confidence and at the same time is always there to help with a spot that might feel tricky or challenging
There are several options for all ages to enjoy and at least half a day should be planned to partake of most of the options Grouse mountain offers.

Grouse Mountain & The Peak of Vancouver, just some 20 minutes from Vancouver’s downtown core, offers Special Festive Family Rates & The Possibility of Sighting Reindeer.
Now wouldn't that be nice?
From November 26 through to Xmas day, December 25, families of four can get a ticket for 109$.
That is quite a deal when usually tickets are 51$ a person.
And: In addition to admission to Grouse Mountain, these tickets allow access to the skating rink on the pond and to other amenities.
The mountain over this festive period is open from 8 am to 9 pm with a curtailed time on Christmas Eve and other of the big celebrations.
How wonderful it is to go up at this time, and at a good rate.

Unfortunately yesterday was my only day to visit Grouse Mtn but it's not worth the price when it's low fog visibility. You couldn't see anything on the gondola or once you reached the top. I had hoped it would burn off but it wasn't to be . The only show in the rain was the lumberjack show which was fun but everything else was a no show i.e. the bears, birds, etc. Food over priced and underwhelming. At least they offer a free shuttle service...

Do we need to reserve a specific time for the gondola ride up and back ? Are the attractions, bears, birds, etc T the top on the mountain or is there a park before you go up?

From the Seabus terminal,Lonsdale Quay is in front of you. The Bus 236 goes from Bay 15 every 15 mins. The bus stops right outside the Ticket Booth and is the terminus, so no need to ask for stop; it's the end of the line.
wij zitten in een hotel in richmond. Kunnen we dan ook met een shuttlebus?
